~Katelia~

“You sure you'll be okay?” ask Mama with a worried tone.

The driver stopped the car quite far from the school gate. There were a lot of other vehicles as well, so we couldn't be right on the main fence. Plus, a tourist bus was lined up in front of the school gate, forcing me to walk.

“Iya, Mother. I'll be back safely. We just went to Samosir. The teachers also knew we could not board an overloaded ship.” I kissed both cheeks. “See you later, Ma.”

He took me off with a heavy heart. My family has always looked after me, but has been protective. Naturally, I'm the only daughter. My two older brothers were also no less exaggerated when protecting me. If only they knew what I was like at school.

“My feelings haven't calmed down since we got here. Should you not just come along? We can go for a family trip if you want to go to Samosir,” said a woman in front of an ugly and fat girl.

The girl glanced at me fearfully before shifting and taking cover behind her mother's body. I passed through it without returning a look or greeting her. He wasn't the only one who retreated or hid when I passed by. Other students do the same.

“Kat, here!” call a good friend of mine. I approached him and my two other friends. There was a very handsome man standing beside them. “My partner wants to meet you. He's going to college in this city, so you'll see each other often.”

The three of them were my best friends, but had no idea where I would continue my studies. I will give the surprise later through the announcement of the results of the selection of the State College entrance examination. I want to go to college where my two brothers are, not on the campus in this city.

The young man shook my hand for too long, but I didn't take my hand away from him. I really enjoy the look full of admiration of people for my beauty. Moreover, my palm was certainly so smooth that he was reluctant to take it off.

“Come, kids. Time to get on the bus. Pay attention to where your name is.” Our homeroom teacher speaks through a loudspeaker.

I don't have to check on the bus where my name is. My friends pulled me closer to the bus that was at the front. The other students shift regularly giving way to us. I walked leisurely, enjoying each of their frightened gazes.

Those on the bus with me looked pale, including that fat and ugly girl. Why would a man like him survive, I don't understand. Are his parents not ashamed of having a daughter as bad as him? It's ugly, fat, stupid again. The complete package that always makes my hands itch.

“Heh, move!” Chika kicked the leg of the front-most second-row seat. The two students in the chair immediately stood up and obeyed. The other two students opposite him also moved. So, the four of us can sit parallel together.

“I told you, don't sit there. You can't believe it,” whispered someone in the fourth row, where the four students had moved.

“We shouldn't move. Our numbers are the same as theirs, why are we the ones giving up?” said a girl I don't know.

“Already silent.” The first girl put her finger in front of her lips saw me staring at them. “He is not our opponent.”

Is correct. I'm not your opponent.

“Waahhh ..!” All the students on the tour bus were amazed to see the beautiful scenery of Lake Toba.

The bus stopped not far from the dock. We got out first, because the other students were too afraid to stand up from their seats. The teacher asked us to line up and guard each other's belongings. Five ships were ready to take us across.

As the teachers checked the attendance list and made sure all the students were not left behind, we took pictures. Friends also do not want to miss capturing the moment. I just posed, while they took turns photographing with their gadgets.

It wasn't until an hour later that we arrived in Tomok. Since we were at the top of the ship, then we waited until everyone on the lower deck was queuing towards the dock. Chika goes down first, then the fat girl. We gave all our bags to him as soon as we were on the lower deck. He walked in a daze when our bags were not heavy. My friends and I were surprised to see it.

“The fat base is useless!” Chika nicks the girl's forehead. “Your name is very good, but the face is ugly. Are your parents not ashamed of having a child like this?” He pushed his body so as not to block our path.

I passed him without doing anything, but all of a sudden he let out a surprised scream. My hand was held, then pulled. Before I understood what was going on, I fell off the ship. We stood in the section without a fence so it glided freely into the lake.

He did not want to let go of my hand as we continued to sink towards the bottom of the lake. This foolish girl could not swim and just moved in panic, not out of her mind. Damnit. I started to feel my lungs getting hot. If I don't get to the surface right away, I could die with him.

Suddenly there was a very bright light from the top followed by a thundering sound muffled by water. Then a light surrounded us. I was terrified to see the strangeness, but the fat girl did not want to let go of my hand. So, I couldn't stay away to save myself. The light began to suck on us until I had to close my eyes because of the glare. What the hell's going on?

“Kat, Kateria! Wake up! Open your eyes!” I heard people calling my name. “Katelia! You can't die. Wake up!”

I opened my eyes and saw that the situation around me was dark. Feeling the water droplets fall on my forehead, this must be due to the drizzle. I took a deep breath. Oh, thank goodness! I'm still alive! That stupid girl dared to pull me down with her. Fortunately, I did not die.

“Kat! Kate!” Bizarrely. Why do they keep saying my name? “Open your eyes! Please, don't go. Build.” His call came not far from me.

I slowly looked towards the sound. People are swarming to my right. What are they doing there? I was right here. I tried to get up, but my body felt heavy. I took a breath and tried again.

Just to sit, my breath to the point. I looked back to my right. I almost laughed myself at the strangeness. I was here, but they called me over there. I who fell into the lake why are their minds disturbed?

“Stupid fat! All this because of you!” Chika suddenly came closer and hit my chest. I looked at him in disbelief. How dare he do this? “If Kat is unconscious too, you will catch up with her! You hear that!? Why aren't you the one who died?!”

“You—” Never one of them dared to touch me. How presumptuous was she to hit my chest? Before I could reply, someone broke us.

“Katelia is not dead yet, you should not talk carelessly.” I looked towards Theo. Did I not see wrong? This pretentious grumpy guy is defending me? Me, her sworn enemy since we were first class SMU? It seems like everyone has gone crazy.

“Pak Guru has been trying to help. Lookie! Kat is still unconscious! Do you know what happens if someone doesn't breathe for too long??” chika shouted in panic. Both of our friends restrained his body from hitting Theo.

I looked in the direction he pointed. Some of the students moved away so I could clearly see the body lying there. I rubbed my eyes, not believing what I saw. I'm here, then why is my body there?
