Home For My Soul
206|Last Fight

The officer opened the door for us and let us in. There was a table and a chair in the room. There was no one around us, so we could choose the place as we pleased. We were sitting when the door in front of us opened.

“Edrick!” nisa was moved. He ran over, but the man raised his hand, signaling that he would not touch him. “Darling, I miss you so much.” He was hurt by the rejection. Would he have done the same for Edrick?

“Sit, Nisa,” I said, please.

“I have no business with you anymore. Did you forget our deal?” he said with an arrogant tone. “We don't know each other.”

Of course he's right. That was our deal. But I deeply regret his attitude which has not changed. I think a few days of being in custody will make him a little more humble and aware of his mistake. Turns out he's still the same.

“Good. Then, my business here is done.” I stood up and smiled sweetly at him. “May you spend a long time in prison for the reward of your deeds to me.”

He crossed both hands in front of his chest. “I didn't do anything to you.” He snorted, mocking me.

“You pushed me on the deck of the ship to fall into the lake.” I looked at him seriously. How dare he say he didn't do anything to me.

He looked at Edrick nervously. “Do not accuse me without proof.” He certainly didn't want Edrick to know what he was doing.

“Today you still don't want to admit it?” I laughed, not believing. “You acted naively, then used Chika's envy to provoke Mama Katelia to sue me. Though you made me and Katelia splash.”

I was one step closer to him. “It is not I who have killed Katelia, but you. I hope you will use your time in prison to improve yourself. Because of Nisa, you won't be out anytime soon.”

He passed me to stand before Edrick. “Don't listen to him, honey. I wouldn't do that to my own best friend,” he told the man in a heartfelt tone.

“You slept with a lot of men behind me. Do you think I'll believe you again?” Edrick looked at him coldly.

“Honey, let me explain.” He tried to touch her again, but the man backed off.

“I'll make sure you get the maximum penalty for your insults against my family. How dare you drag our good name along with bad news about you. Thankfully, I never slept with you. Disgusting.” He looked at his former fiancee.

Edrick looked at me, then I nodded in understanding. I walk first to the door. Nisa calls his name, persuading him to listen, but Edrick ignores her. We did not stop walking until we arrived outside the detention area.

I thanked the officer who served us, then headed for the parking lot. I also thank you for the kindness of Edrick who was willing to fulfill my request to come. It must have been hard for him to see the person who had hurt his heart. The man just smiled.

Both of my mama laughed and watched me come home with Antonio. They knew full well that Theo would be furious to find out I was meeting the man he banned. What can I do? I have to do this or something will hold my heart for the rest of my life.

After all, he forbade it through his mouth, but agreed through his actions. He doesn't tie me to bed like he used to if I make a big mistake. So, I know. He supported me in resolving the issue between me and my three former friends.

On the next day, Chika was not accompanied by anyone in her nursery. He was already sitting neatly by leaning on the head of his bed. His right hand was plastered, it must have been a broken hand. Her legs were covered in blankets, so I didn't know which side was broken.

“You are so persistent come every day, what would you like to give an invitation?” ask her cynically. Ah, great. The news of the big event had already reached his ears.

“Then what do you want?” He glanced towards the door. “You better be quick, before my mama comes.”

“I don't want to continue this. That's enough, Chika.” I looked at him seriously. “You've got your reply, so I won't sue you at the mall.” I glanced at his hand.

He snorted loudly. “You started it. I told you, stop posting it.”

“You who stopped loving my husband. Why should I stop sharing our happiness? Are you the only one who can share intimacy on social media?” my tease.

He pursed his lips tightly. Although I was active in using social media to heat up, what was wrong with my posts? I share normal things, just like any other user. Not too much like him that even small details are opened to the public.

I'll still be careful about choosing photos and words, because I know Theo's getting uncomfortable. He does not like private things to be consumed by the public. I will also stop sharing when the time comes. At least, until I'm sure I've broken this woman's heart enough.

“You better be careful. You are in someone else's body. It could be that his soul comes someday and asks for his body back." One corner of her lips extended to the side. "You won't be able to be with Theo anymore. I'm sure he won't know the difference either. Katelia or Amaryllis that is in that body.” He rubbed his hands on my body.

“Looks like you're not helped anymore. Same with Nisa. Just take care of your own life, Chika. Let me handle my problems. Your obsession with me is starting to make me uncomfortable. I'm married and not interested in same-sex relationships.” I raised my eyebrows.

He laughed in surprise, then broke out. “Do you think I'm crazy? I'm not obsessed with you,” she denies. “Don't big head. I won't bother you anymore and agree to stay away from each other. All I said was just my last message. Because you have to be careful. Everything you have could have been taken from you in an instant.”

“Oh. I'm not afraid of that. Theo promised to be with me until I die. She also loves me very much and always prefers me, even from her own parents.” I smiled innocently. “Did Mr Norman promise you the same thing?”

His lips were tightly clenched, restraining anger. “May the baby fall and you never become a mother,” her curse without feeling.

I put my right hand on my belly, protecting my baby. “Be careful what you say, Chika. Your curse could come back to you. I have come to resolve the issue between us, not prolong this useless feud.”

“Munafic!” he shouted, not holding himself back anymore. I took one step back, surprised by his thunderous voice.

“Stop pretending to be someone else! You're Kat, not Amarilis! You can lie to Theo and everyone with your cipher, I don't. You disgust me with your angelic attitude! Once a demon, forever you are a demon! Get out! I will never see your face in front of me again! Out!” he shouted with all his might.

I looked at him in disbelief. Although there was something I wanted to say, I held back. There's no point in continuing to talk, because he already has his own opinion of me. It made me even more convinced to continue my temptation towards him.

Only Rahma showed as much regret as I had ever felt. He will live happily ever after, meeting good men who can accept him for who he is. Nisa and Chika are already evil from their hearts. I am calm because they have been rewarded for what they did to me.

Antonio asked me how I was. Looking at her worried face, I smiled. He doesn't have to worry about the problems I'm facing. We immediately left the place before Mama Chika came. I don't want Antonio to hear him nag me anymore.

Theo came home for dinner with us. Our entire family gathered to eat together while discussing the final preparations for our big event the next day. I'm glad to see my three mothers have become familiar over the past few days.

“We need to talk,” Theo said when we were alone in the room. He sat on the sofa with a serious face, so I complied by sitting by his side. “Do not be offended, but we need to do this.” He held out a map to me.

I accepted it and looked at it confusedly. “What is this?”
