124|Unilateral Decision

~Altheo~

“That's good news, son. I'm glad to hear it,” praise Papa.

“Thank you, Pa.” I mentioned the date of the diploma award ceremony and asked about the details I needed to help with regarding their arrival.

“No need. I can ask my assistant to do it. We'll stay at the hotel, so you'll come with us. Your apartment is definitely not enough to accommodate all of us.”

“Good, Pa,” I said, according.

She smiles. “You deliberately called me during business hours. You definitely don't want your mama to be in this conversation.”

“Mama will only muddy the atmosphere. I'd better talk to Papa.”

“Good. I have to take a meeting. See you later.”

The video call ended, I put my phone on the table, then stretched. The atmosphere in Amarilis' room was very quiet. He must be studying. Having a woman who has a hobby is great. He supported me when I was busy with the thesis, not whining for a walk.

When at this moment I focus on work, he concentrates on his studies. I can't plan a trip with him yet on spring break. I need to know Papa and Mama's plan first. I hope they don't force me to go home.

I checked Amarylis's condition in the room. Maybe there's something I can do for her, like she did for me. For sure, I won't let him overtime. It is not good for his health. I avoided it to live long. I want to live as long as I can with my woman.

But what I found was he who was asleep in a chair with his hands as his head pillow. It should be very quiet, until the sound of typing his fingers on the keyboard was not heard. Turns out the guy's gone bad. I held her up and laid her body on the bed.

Just starting college is like this. How about when he puts together a thesis? Maybe he's sleeping more than he's researching. Seeing that he didn't wake up, then I put out his room light and let him rest.

“Again, Theo!” greet Clara as I enter the restaurant office.

I just nodded without stopping my steps towards my room. There are no more heaps of files on the desk, because I come every day. As a result, the woman did not know herself thinking this was her chance to approach me.

Not wanting to bother with it, I focused on my work. By spring, there are as many invitations as last year. I began to sort out which ones were important to attend to and which were not. Too bad, I have to attend it myself.

I was never alone when I came home and always picked a random time, so the woman couldn't guess. I don't want to meet or talk to him for a second. This condition is only temporary. I'm sure he'll make a mistake that I can make an excuse to tell him to quit his job.

Someone suddenly stood in front of me so I had to brake my bike. Her face was not foreign, so I refrained from scolding her. I got off my bike, waiting for him to come closer. His face was red, either from anger or cold.

“You don't know me, but you must have seen my face.” The woman began to talk. “I'm a waiter at your restaurant and don't accept being treated unfairly.”

Yes, I remember. She was a waitress who sometimes opened the door for me. “What do you mean? Who treated you unfairly?”

“Mother Willis fired me without warning first. I didn't even make a mistake today.” He looked around us with fear. “I'm not the only one who got fired just like that, sir. Please me and my friends.”

“Why don't you discuss this at the office? You can always meet me in my room,” I'm confused. He just closed his lips. “Come at eight o'clock tomorrow, bring your other friends. If you don't make a mistake, then you can't be fired.”

He walked up to a parked car not far from where I was. I recognized the car because it often parked in the restaurant area. Realizing he wasn't lying, I went back to the restaurant. I waited for a warning from my bodyguard before entering the restaurant grounds.

The woman often appeared from anywhere, so I had to make sure she was home. The employee who works sif night greets me kindly. I nodded and continued walking towards the security section. The man in charge greeted my arrival standing up.

“I need a recording today showing a conversation between assistant manager with a recently fired waitress.” I looked at the many screens in front of me.

“Good, Sir.” He sat back down and the picture on the screen changed.

I noticed the date and the clock listed on the top right of the screen. At two this afternoon. Looks like this guy knows what I'm asking. The screen shows Clara alone in her room, and two women enter.

Since there was no sound, I couldn't figure out what he said to the two of them. The two women were inside for quite a while and seemed to be arguing fiercely with him. There was still one man he also called and got into a fight with.

“Is there any footage that shows them making a mistake?” my many.

“Everything works as usual, sir. The two women were servants. You know for yourself there are no complaints or commotion from the dining room today. The man was the assistant chef, also no problems in the kitchen or complaints from customers.”

“Create a copy of the recording and deliver it to my room. I also need info on the people who were fired today or anytime since the new assistant manager was working.”

Regulations in this country are very strict in employment matters. I don't want the restaurant to have any problems that could interfere with its existence. Papa and I went through a long process to get to this point. Do not let because of the trivial problems of this restaurant close.

I checked the employee data sent by the IT department and received the CCTV footage. I need to make sure they don't do anything wrong in order to face Clara. Their personal data I sent to my bodyguard. I need their full background.

It was late at night when I arrived at the apartment, but I was satisfied because all the evidence had been gathered. That woman won't be able to wander as she pleases when I ask about this matter tomorrow. I looked towards the sofa realizing there was someone there.

I sighed softly watching my woman wait for me to fall asleep. I took him to his room and laid him on his bed. After covering her body, I kissed her forehead. Instead of studying here instead of reading a book in the front room.

When checking my phone before bed, I realized my mistake. Being too focused on work issues, I didn't see any incoming messages from him. He should have waited until I got home. Next time I have to give it a try if I get home late again.

As per our appointment the previous day, I was already waiting in the room when the two women and a fired man came face to face. They told me what happened in the assistant manager's office. It turned out that Clara called them just to fire and not give any reason. What the hell is he doing?

“You can get back to work. Let me take care of Miss Willis,” I said, closing our conversation. They nodded at once, then walked out of my study.

I sent a memo to the HR manager and head, then ate my breakfast. Trivial issues like this are not yet the time to report to Papa. I can still handle it. After all, I can more quickly throw the woman out if she makes things.

“Include,” I said, when the door of my room was knocked.

The manager came in and greeted me politely. “Sorry, Sir. No error in case of dismissal yesterday.” That word immediately caught my attention. “Nona Willis confirmed to me first, then the decision I agreed.”

“How about me?” my many. Looks like he forgot the correct dismissal procedure. “Do you not need my approval first?”

The door of my room was knocked, so I let him in. “Please sorry. Mr. Manager is not in place, so I met him here.” The security guard looked panicked. He looked towards the manager. “Pak, there is an emergency in the kitchen.”
