Chapters 1968.
"...Well, for one, my grandfather has died, and the Crawford family is no more. With that in mind, I should note that I am here on my own behalf and not on behalf of my family. As for why I am here, I want to ask you something. Is it true you know how to access the Autremonde Realm..?" Ask Gerald.
After hearing that, Christos fell silent for a moment. Staring at Gerald for a moment, the old man then asked in a cold tone,
"So what if I do?"
"Well, if you know, I'd like to learn more about that place. As for how I found out about the Autremonde Realm in the first place, I learned of its existence after reading about nature in the old family notebook. The notebook also states that you've been there before!" Answer Gerald.
"Listen, I'm sorry but I can't tell you anything about that place! If nothing else, then just go!"
Shouted Christos, resolutely refusing any form of assistance.
Hearing that, Gerald felt somewhat helpless. Even so, he could tell that Christos must have experienced something bad there. Why else would he be against talking about the Autremonde Realm?
Still, Gerald knew for sure that forcing the old man to speak would be of no use to him.
With that in mind, since he already knew that doing things the hard way would not take him anywhere, he might as well try to use the gentle way.
Following that thought, Gerald then left the grocery store. Although he soon returned with a few cans of beer as well as some food.
Hopefully, this will show Christos how sincere he is. Hopefully the old man will finally open up a little, Gerald then put the beer and food in front of Christos.
Opening one of the beer cans and handing it to the old man, Gerald then said,
"I know how strong you are, senior Christos. With that in mind, I have great respect for you. Drink some beer and food and I hope you're willing to at least talk to me after that!"
With so many bottles of beer strewn about, it wasn't hard for Gerald to guess that the old man loved to drink. It was probably to help Christos ease her pain.
Staring at Gerald for a moment, Christos finally sighed before taking the beer can that Gerald gave him. After a few sips, Christos was encouraged to say,
"You're so different from Daryl, you know that? You don't look or feel like his granddaughter at all! After all, despite the fact that he had been a calculative person his entire life, it seemed that even that was unable to help him escape death!"
Sensing how biased Christos was towards his "grandfather', Gerald decided to change the subject by asking,
"Senior Christos, can you. You tell me what you know about the Autremonde Realm..? What kind of place is that..?"
Seemingly already expecting the question to come up again, Christos only sighed as he replied, Christos said,
"Son, be honest and tell me why are you so curious about the Autremonde Realm.?"
"That's me, senior Christos! Besides, I want to get the Crawford Inheritance Force!"
Gerald said, no longer long-winded.
"So you really pursued that power. You're similar to Daryl in this aspect. After all, he wanted to obtain the strength of the inheritance as well. After all, I will say it now that the Autremonde Realm is not as simple as you think! It was a place we could never reach as humans!"
Christos replied, sounding increasingly agitated with every passing word.
Raising a few eyebrows, Gerald was asked to ask,
"...And why is that.?"
"You said you knew how strong I was, right? Well, despite that fact, I almost lost my life there! Moreover, most of my face was smashed while I was in the Autremonde Realm!"
