Chapters 1928.
As Gerald conjectured, Harold called to solve the mystery. However, knowing that the dangerous Tye may already be somewhere inside the city, Gerald will not prioritize anything else.
Moreover, he did not need to help Harold every time he was asked to solve a mystery. With that in mind, Gerald simply replied,
"Unfortunately, Mr. Lee, I do not currently exist. There are some things I still have to take care of."
"so. But listen to me first, Mr. Crawford! There has been a murder at the Sun Group building and the victim, a corporate security guard, has finally been sucked dry! This description may be a little poetic, but it seems like his soul has been sucked out!" Harold.
"come again? Sun Group? The body that dried up?!"
Gerald exclaimed, instantly remembering that Tye now has the power to drain the soul and energy of humans. What's more, the murder took place in the Sun Group building! It must be Tye!
"Yes, Mr Crawford! So please, can you.-"
"I'm coming!"
Gerald replied before Harold could even finish his sentence.
Immediately hanging up the phone before Harold could say anything more, Gerald then turned to face Master Snyder as he said,
"I'm going..-"
However, Master Snyder is no more! Then again, Gerald didn't expect that. The man just enjoys disappearing and reappearing whenever he likes .
Whatever the case may be, Gerald then bowed slightly before respectfully stating,
"Thank you for the advice, Master Snyder! I'll go now!"
The second Gerald sentence ended, the door slowly opening, signifying that Master Snyder had heard the comment.
Nodding in response, Gerald then left the house before speeding away.
It was only when Gerald started driving when Master Snyder reappeared in his bedroom window.
Gazing at the car that was quickly disappearing in the distance, Master Snyder then sighed heavily while muttering,
"This is all part of the process for you to become an outstanding cultivator, Gerald."
With that said, Master Snyder then disappeared again.
Fast forward to ten minutes later, Gerald's car stopped squeaking in front of the Sun Group building. To be honest this was his first time coming here, and he had not expected the building to be so big up close.
In any case, he quickly regained his senses of admiration and began walking past all the cars - owned by the members of the Supreme Council - before passing through the dividing tape surrounding the building.
After entering and asking some inspectors where Harold was, he was directed to the sixteen floor, the floor where Tye's office was located.
With that in mind, Gerald quickly headed there. Upon entering the office, Gerald noticed that Harold and his subordinates were already busy investigating the area while discussing what they found.
"Mr. Lee!"
Gerald exclaimed as he started walking towards the man. As soon as he saw Gerald, Harold looked like he had just found his savior. After all, in terms of the supernatural, Harold knew that he could rely on Gerald.
Not wanting to waste any time, Gerald immediately asked,
"So, what's the situation like?"
"Well, you already know that the victim is a Sun Group security guard. From what we gathered, the time of death should have been around midnight yesterday, and we assume he must have experienced something paranormal because his body was already dry! Her eyes are milk white too!"
Obviously Harold when Gerald advanced to crouch beside the body of the security guard.
After examining it properly, Gerald is now more convinced than ever that Tye is the culprit.
Looking around, Gerald couldn't help but notice a bottle of wine and a glass of wine in one of the cabinets.
Raising his eyebrows slightly, Gerald then headed to investigate and in the wine glass, he found a stain. Seeing that, Gerald immediately began to think about how the stain could be there.
From what he could have guessed, Tye had probably returned to the Sun Group building last night to drink wine.
However, he was noticed by a security guard, and as a result, he killed the poor man and absorbed his soul and energy, which eventually led to the current scene.
With that in mind, Gerald then turned to look at Harold before saying,
"Can I have time with you, Mr Lee?"
A moment surprised by the question, Harold quickly snapped before nodding. Once the two were in a quiet corner, Harold first asked,
"Did you find anything strange, Mr. Crawford..?"
"Indeed. It will look surprising, but I assure you that the killer is none other than Tye Lamano, chairman of the Sun Group" Gerald replied.
Upon hearing that, Harold was completely shocked as he quickly asked in disbelief,
"That's one bold claim you have there, Mr. Crawford.. Do you have any evidence of that .?"
No matter how much he trusted Gerald in occult matters, he was still an investigator. Such a bold statement would definitely require proof for him to believe it.
Gerald himself was not bothered by Harold's distrust. After all, he was the inspector of the Great Council. There was no way he could make any hasty conclusions.
Whatever the case, Gerald then begins detailing his journey to Mount Dakriont to Harold, ending his story with how Tye turned into the monster she is today.
With everything now clearly explained, Gerald knew that it was up to Harold whether to believe him.
Harold himself knew that Gerald wasn't lying, given how serious the young man was as he detailed everything. Moreover, Gerald had no reason to joke about such things.
Seeing how roared Harold was, Gerald was compelled to say,
"Mrs. Lee, just so you know, Tye's not human anymore. He was currently half a ghost, which made him even more dangerous. Moreover, you already know that he has the ability to drain people's souls and energy. However, know that he cannot do much in a day. With that in mind, I'm sure he'll appear as soon as night falls!"
"...I'm seeing. But where are we gonna find him?"
Harold asked while raising a little of his eyebrows.
If everything Gerald said to her was true, then Tye was a very dangerous individual. They had to arrest him as soon as possible in order for this kind of killing to not happen again.!
