Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man
Chapter 1994-1995

Chapters 1994.

"Anyway, it's no use. That guy wins fair and square, and we have to accept it!"

Tanner replied while consoling his daughter, knowing full well that in the world of martial arts competitions, no one could remain at the top forever.

Although Yalinda looked like she wanted to refute, she finally realized that there was a terrible scar on Tanner's arm!

With that in mind, he quickly asked,

"Huh? When did you get hurt, dad? What's going on?"

Hearing that, Tanner just chuckled as he waved his good hand and said,

"It's just a scratch! In any case, I got a wound from some Tygress Mountain bandits on the way back!"

"The bandits? They are really getting messed up by the day! Either way, consider increasing the number of men with you while you are out delivering goods! Otherwise, I swear I'll start coming with you as extra protection!"

Yalinda murmured after a short pause.

Simply patting his daughter's head in response, Tanner then lovingly said,

"It's okay. Besides, I'd rather keep my daughter safe!"

At that moment, the voice of the guard sounded anxiously calling from outside,

"Captain Juans!"

Raising a little eyebrow, Tanner then walked out before asking,

"Yes? What's this commotion?"

"There are two guys out there who want to meet you! Although they claim that they saved your life early, I'd like to make sure with you first before letting them in!"

Answer the guard.

"...Oh? Where are they now? Lead me to them!"

Tanner's orders were shocked.

Nodding in response, the guard then started running to the door, with Tanner following behind.

Curious, Yalinda followed. After all, what kind of person was capable enough to save his father?

Either way, once they arrived at the door, Tanner's eyes instantly widened. As it turned out, Gerald and Yale were actually standing - with their backs facing him - at his front door!

"Mr Crawford! How fun!"

The excited Tanner said.

Tanner, for example, had previously assumed that Gerald would never come, causing him to be somewhat disappointed by it. That clearly explains why he was so happy to see Gerald at his doorstep.

Hearing her voice, the two then turned around, and as soon as their faces were seen, Yalinda was so shocked that she could not help but point at Gerald while exclaiming, Yalinda was so shocked,

"that's you!"

Gerald himself quickly pointed back as he in disbelief shouted,

"So, you again!"

Seeing this conversation, the confused Tanner was compelled to ask,

"You know Mr Crawford, Yalinda.?"

"Yes! Her. He beat me!"

Yalinda cried out, her voice growing angry.

After hearing that, Tanner immediately burst into laughter. Turns out, the one who took him out was Gerald! Everything makes sense now!

In any case, Gerald possessed incredible strength! Whatever the case, Tanner quickly cleared his throat before saying in a serious tone,

"..Now, now, Yalinda, don't be rude! Remember, Mr. Crawford is still the one who saved my life! If it wasn't for him, I would have perished by now!"

When she heard that, Yalinda only snorted angrily before leaving the scene, not wanting to see Gerald for longer than she needed.

"Please do not take his words and actions, Mr. Crawford... My daughter just like that!"

"Don't worry about that, Captain Juans. He's only been acting like that since I defeated him, so I hope you forgive me for that!"

Gerald replied with a subtle smile, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Ah, don't worry about that, Mr Crawford! It was normal to lose in the competition!"

Tanner replied with a smile before inviting Gerald and Yale to his house. Since the Martial Arts family was combined with the Juans Delivery House, it made sense for Tanner and his daughter to live in a delivery house.

Apart from that, Tanner and Yalinda are both quite famous in Shontell. After all, the Juans Delivery House provides a reliable service, and many Shontell residents tend to look for them whenever they need sacred stones or other items delivered.

Due to their good name, it was no wonder why those who used their services treated Tanner and Yalinda so courteously.

In fact, the Juans Delivery House even has several parties backing them in Shontell.

Whatever the case may be, once they sit together in the lobby, Tanner finds himself asking,

"So. What are your plans now, Mr Crawford?"

"First, just call Gerald. Calling me Mr. Crawford is a bit awkward."

Gerald replied with a faint smile.

"Well, Gerald! Regardless, I'm assuming you haven't really had a place to live because you said that you were a vagabond before this. With that in mind, why don't you stay with us first? Don't worry, I will definitely treat you well!"

Tanner advised after thinking about it for a while.

"...Well, if you insist! Thank you for having us!"

Gerald replied, feeling that staying here is not a bad idea. Moreover, it seemed like they had yet to find another place to stay.

Fast forward into the night, Gerald, Yale, Tanner, and his daughter find themselves having dinner together in the lobby.

Since Gerald and Yale had eaten nothing most of the day, once the food arrived, they immediately started chewing like there was no tomorrow.

Yalinda herself could only look at Gerald in annoyance. After all, he still could not forget the fact that Gerald was actually the one who had saved his father's life!

While she was grateful about that, the fact that she had defeated him so shamefully made it even harder to treat him well.

Although her daughter was upset, Tanner was in a carefree mood, and she could not help but laugh as she said,

"Slow down, the food's not going anywhere! If you need more, just say it!"

Hearing that, Yalinda took the opportunity to frown,

"He's right! What are you two, pigs?"

Hearing his statement, Yale immediately stopped eating, now feeling a bit awkward.

Tanner, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow slightly as he snorted,

"Yalinda! Where's your manners?"

Looking at Yalinda who was then instantly speechless, Gerald cleared his throat before saying,

"Miss Juans, I hope you don't remember what happened this morning. After all, had I known that you were the daughter of Captain Juans, I would not have challenged you in the first place! With that in mind, please forgive my impoliteness and let's move on from that!"

Seeing Gerald raise his wine glass, Yalinda - who realized how intense her father's gaze was - knew that she had no choice but toast Gerald.

As soon as their glasses met with 'grape', Yalinda finished her wine in one gulp before putting it down and declaring, Yalinda finished her wine in one gulp before putting it down and declaring,

"Let's fight again after this meal!"

This surprised Gerald. To think that this girl still wanted to compete with him!

Sighing while shaking his head, Gerald then replied,

"Look, don't you think having another competition is a bit unnecessary"

"No, no. Except. Could it be that you are afraid that I will win this time?"
