Chapters 1900.
Turning to look at Gerald in surprise, Yann inevitably asked,
"Is something wrong, Gerald?"
"Yes, Mr Crawford! Shouldn't we hurry up and go?"
Add Rey in a confused tone.
"Silent. Give me a little knife, Rey!" Gerald's Order.
Obeying Gerald's words, Rey took a small knife from her belt before handing it to Gerald.
The little knife was now in his hands, Gerald then walked towards the crystal-clear, emerald-green jade – the size of a chicken egg - which was embedded in the wall.
Afterwards, Rey and Yann widened their eyes as they watched Gerald skillfully use a knife to gouge out the jade from the wall!
"...H-yeah? Didn't you say that we shouldn't touch any jade here, Mr Crawford ?!" Rey was surprised.
After putting the jade into his pocket, Gerald simply replied,
"Yes, but remember that there are usually no traps near the exit!"
With that, Gerald continued walking out of the cave, causing the two dumbfounded men to quickly exit the cave before chasing after him.
As soon as the three of them came out, Rey immediately looked up at the sky before inhaling a deep breath of fresh air.
"Thank God we're finally out of that place! The air here is much more fragrant!" Rey is cheerful.
While Yann felt equally happy, she could not help but face Gerald as she asked,
"Puppa-way. What about Tye and the others, Gerald.?"
Raising a few eyebrows, Gerald simply replied,
"What's? Are you still hoping to get all that money out of him?"
Hearing that, Yann fell silent for a moment before saying,
"...That's not what I meant. The point is, I'm just worried and Tye and her men won't let us off that easily once they realize that we're gone!"
"Well! What makes you so sure they'll find a way out anytime soon? I assure you that by the time they finally come out, we will be miles away from them! They'll never catch up to us!" Gerald replied with a chuckle.
Realizing that Gerald had a point, Yann simply nodded.
"Well.. If nothing else, let's move!" Added Gerald.
"But which direction should we head, Mr. Crawford.? After all, we don't really have the map!" Ask Rey.
Smiling satisfied in response, Gerald then replied,
"And who told you that we don't have a map?"
Understandably shocked to hear that, Rey and Yann could only stare at Gerald in disbelief as the young man took out a map from his pocket!
"...Wait, doesn't Tye have a map? How'd you get it, Gerald?" Ask the confused Yann.
"Well! I got it while they were still fascinated!"
Gerald replied with a smile, making Yann pause for a moment before giving Gerald two thumbs up!
Chapters 1901.
"My Lord! You're really something else, Gerald!" Yann was amazed.
Thinking that Gerald can remember to steal Tye's map earlier despite being in a stressful situation!
Regardless, how beautiful! Now that Tye and the others had no map, they would definitely be unable to continue their search!
"Whatever the case may be, Tye and her men may have come here for the treasure, but we are different. What we consider valuable is different from them. With that in mind, I want you both to listen to me carefully. Once we reach our destination, you cannot touch or take anything without first asking my permission! Is clear?" Gerald.
"Understand me, Mr Crawford!" Answer Rey.
"But. if we don't take anything back, then this trip will be a little wasted, won't it, Mr. Crawford...?" Yann muttered in a slightly reluctant tone.
"Even though I won't repeat it, I hope you understand that greed only leads to destruction, Yann," replied Gerald, leaving Yann speechless.
Yann, for example, would not violate Gerald's words. After all, he was well aware of how capable and powerful Gerald was. Even so, greed is different for everyone.
While some may not have it at all, others just have endless greed. In any case, with that said, the three then continued on their way.
Quite a while later before Tye and her men finally regained their senses from the daze. Immediately realizing that Gerald and his entourage were absent, Tye rubbed her dizzy forehead before asking, Tye said,
"Hey, have any of you seen Gerald and his entourage.?"
Watching his subordinates shake their heads, a realization suddenly approached Tye, prompting the man to feel her pocket, and it was at that moment that she realized that the map had been stolen!
"That bastard .!"
Tye pouted, causing all her men to immediately start exchanging glances, not even sure what happened to make Tye this angry.
Hailey-secretary Tye-quickly approached the angry man before asking in a concerned tone,
"Everything! To think that the three b*stards actually dared to steal my map!"
Raung Tye, her entire face was now flushed red with anger.
Although he was stunned for a moment, Hailey quickly flinched before replying,
"Can... They might have picked up the map to ease their search for the exit.? After all, the last time I saw them, they headed deeper into the cave. Maybe they found a way out!"
After hearing that, Tye realized that she was reasonable. With that, he immediately ordered his men to start going deeper into the cave.
Shortly thereafter, the party reached the deepest part of the cave and was immediately greeted by the sight of some sort of plank covered by a soaked shirt.
Before Tye began to wonder what the shirt was for there, one of her scouting subordinates rushed back as she reported,
"Chairman Lamano! We've found a way out on the other side!"
"So they actually stole my map and ran away! That fucker.! Go after them immediately!"
Raung Tye was enraged as the group quickly left the cave.
Unfortunately for Tye, Gerald and his entourage are no longer near the cave, as Gerald had predicted. After all, the three had just found the river when Rey suggested,
"Say, why don't we rest for a while here, Mr Crawford.? After all, with the distance we have traveled, it is very unlikely for them to chase after us!"

Hearing that, Yann then chimed in,
"Indeed! We've been walking for two hours anyway. Let's take a break!"
Understanding that the two lacked stamina and endurance, Gerald could only agree with them. However, fatigue during travel is best avoided.
Nodding, Gerald replied,
"Sure, why not. Let's take a break!"
With that, the three sat down by the river to enjoy a well-deserved rest. While Gerald is not doing anything in particular, Rey and Yann start washing their faces with river water and even start drinking it.
However, shortly after the two quenched their thirst, Rey happened to notice something stuck at the bottom of the crystal-clear flow. Squinting at the object, his eyes instantly widened upon realizing what it was.
Surprised to hear Rey shout out all of a sudden, Gerald immediately asked,
"What's up?!"
"M-Master Crawford.! Looky there.! That's... It's a human bone.!"
Rey replied that was trembling as she immediately retreated from the river.
Hearing that, Yann immediately ran to look. And as soon as she sees Rey not lying, Yann and Rey throw up. After all, they had drunk the same water that the bone was in!
Gerald himself calmly walked towards the river before pulling his bones out. Checking him out, Gerald couldn't help but say,
"That's weird. Random human bones in the water.? Could someone have died here.?"
After looking at it for longer, Gerald realized something unsettling.
"...Hey, check this out! The way the bone is broken is not possible by others... After all, it looks like the bone was broken by something wild that was hunting."
Gerald muttered, prompting Rey to immediately start looking around.
"...A-are you suggesting that there are wild beasts lurking, Mr Crawford.?" Rey stuttered.
"The most liked one!"
Gerald replied with a nod as he rose from a squatting position before throwing away his bones.
Of course, this quickly made Rey and Yann nervous.
"Then let's leave this place, Mr Crawford."
Rey said, not wanting the ferocious beast to suddenly ambush them.
Nodding in response, Gerald was just about to start leaving the area with his group, when suddenly, the three froze.
After all, the three of them had noticed that the fanged monster was staring straight at them not too far away.!
While none of them made a sound in the first few seconds, finally, Rey could not help but whisper,
"M-Mrs. Crawford's... What now-"
"Shut up!"
Gerald whispered in return as he placed his palm over Rey's mouth. After which, Gerald gestured for the two of them to slowly incline to the side, not wanting to make the beast worry.
As it moved, the three of them watched over the monster, not wanting the monster to get a free chance to ambush them.
However, they had only taken a few steps when the monster suddenly let out an ear-piercing roar!
"God! Sounds like he's angry! Run..!"
