Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man
Chapter 1866-1867

Chapters 1866.

Staring at Leandro while saying that, Gerald then sheathed the Astrabyss Sword. Before fishing the Phangrottom Talisman and showing it to Leandro while adding,

"I assume you know what this is?"

Eyes now widened, Leandro inevitably exclaimed,

"...Phangrottom's Amulet! You really did get it."

Now that he knew that the amulet was with Gerald, Leandro was more determined to kill him! Once that was done, he would definitely obtain a talisman! His expression was now twisted with greed, Leandro glared at Gerald before shouting,

"After I finish you off, the amulet will be mine!"

After which, he started swinging his long sword towards Gerald.!

Of course, Gerald wouldn't let the criminal do what he wanted. Even before Leandro could hit him, Gerald just waved his hand and let out a burst of purple energy!

Unable to dodge the attack, Leandro was finally thrown to the ground! As if that wasn't enough, his long sword shattered into pieces from the impact!

Not giving Leandro a chance to recover, Gerald darted forward before stomping right on Leandro's back while shouting,

"You will pay the highest price today, Leandro! For killing and defiling Mr. Bates, I take away your right to reincarnate!"

Seeing Gerald then directing the talisman towards him, Leandro could only shout, saying,

"No...!"

What followed was a scream of agony as Leandro's body was instantly engulfed in a deep purple flame.!

Retreating from the burning body, Gerald watched the fire completely engulf the sinner, and in the end, all that was left of Leandro was smoke and ash.

Naturally, after witnessing all of that, the other Soul Hunters were terrified without words. Dropping all their weapons and equipment, they all immediately started to flee!

Although Gerald saw this, he left them alone. After all, since he had officially avenged Lord Bates and Leandro was now dead, the Soul Hunter Organization would definitely collapse soon.

Whatever the case may be, Gerald quickly calls out the rest of his party and all of this is finally over.

After searching around for a while, Gerald finally found Mr.'s body. The truncated bates.

Upon seeing what Leandro had done to her, Gerald's anger instantly flared up again. Now that he thought about it, maybe he was too easy to let go of Leandro.

Suddenly, Gerald thought of something. Taking Phangrottom's Amulet out, Gerald then looked at her for a while.

That talisman is very powerful, isn't it? Therefore, perhaps he could use it to repair Mr. Bates' body.

Even though he knew he could not resurrect Mr. Bates, at the very least, he wanted Mr. Bates' body to remain intact for the old man to rest in peace.

After thinking about it for quite a while, Gerald then aimed the talisman at Mr. Bates' body, making sure to focus his mind on reconstructing the old man's body.

Surprisingly, the talisman reacted to Gerald's thoughts, and after emitting a bright light, Lord Bates' body parts began to fuse again!

Of course, this made Gerald very happy. Thinking that the Phangrottom Talisman was even able to recover the body!

Either way, after connecting Mr. Bates' body again, Gerald and his group finally find the right place to give him a good burial.

Standing in front of Mr. Bates' new headstone, Gerald then solemnly bowed as he said,

"Thank you for everything you've done for us, Mr. Bates.! I have avenged you so that you can rest in peace now.!"

"Rest in peace, Mr. Bates."

Juno added as her eyes began to tear up again. If not for him trying to protect them, he might have survived.

Even so, death had finally come, and perhaps his destiny was predetermined.

After saying their last goodbye, however, Gerald and the three then set off to return to the city.

To think that experiencing all of that just marks the beginning of something else...

Chapters 1867.

Fast forward to the next... After flying all day and night, Gerald and his entourage finally arrive in their town.

During the flight, all four slept well. After all, it had been a long time since the last time they were able to sleep comfortably. After disembarking, however, the four took a taxi back to Sacrasolis Palace.

As soon as they arrived half an hour later, Rey immediately sighed while stretching her body while saying,

"We're finally back, brother Gerald.! It's good to finally be back in town!"

Rey, for example, is very happy because she doesn't have to sleep in the open anymore. It had been enough to stay in the wilderness for a while now.

"Puppa-way. Do you have a place to stay, Rey?" Ask Gerald.

Hearing that, Rey frowned slightly as she replied,

"I, actually not. Besides, I left with you in a hurry after coming here last time."

"I saw. Well, what about this? Why don't you stay with Juno and me? And I'm sure Yrsa would rather stay with us. Don't worry about the space, there are plenty of empty rooms in our place. What's more, it would be more convenient for us to take care of each other if we lived together" Gerald suggested.

"I accept!" Rey and Yrsa at the same time.

After all, it was good enough for them as long as they had a roof over their heads.

"Then it's done! We'll take you to your new home now! Also, rest today. We'll be busy again when tomorrow comes!" Answer Gerald.

Afterwards, Gerald and Juno took them to their home. Gerald's House was a luxurious villa not too far from Sacrasolis Palace.

Of course, this shocked Rey and Yrsa once they arrived at the villa.

"S-holy cr p! I didn't know you lived in such a magnificent villa, brother Gerald!"

Excited Rey who had never even stayed at the villa before.

With that in mind, knowing that he would stay here now naturally made him very happy.

Shaking his head resignedly, Gerald and Juno then led the two into their respective new rooms.

Upon entering, Rey and Yrsa were instantly at a loss for words. After all, their room was very beautiful! Happy could not even begin to describe the emotions they were feeling at the moment.

"Alright, rest well, both of you. You deserve this break after working so hard the last few days. Also, after you unpack your things, come down and we'll have a nice dinner together tonight!" Gerald.

Upon seeing them nod in agreement, everyone then dispersed to settle their own affairs.

Gerald himself went back to his room. Not long after that, the phone started ringing. Checking to see who was calling, Gerald realized that it was an unknown number.

While Gerald certainly knew that it was a local call, the initial unit of the phone number was pretty special, to say the least. That alone was enough to tell Gerald that the caller was no ordinary person.

After hesitating for a while, Gerald finally decided to pick up the phone while calmly asking, Gerald,

"Hello? May I know who is speaking?"

"Before that, was this Mr Gerald Crawford whom I spoke with?"

Ask a male voice from the other end of the phone.

"That's me, yeah. Who'sis this?"

Gerald replied, his feelings are a little more curious now.

"Ah, nice to finally be able to talk to you, Mr. Gerald Crawford. My name is Harold Lee, and I am in charge of the Great Council of Jhanglum City in Dragenott. I'm investigating a rather confusing psychic case, you know, and I look forward to seeking your help!" Harold said.

Apparently, the caller was someone from the Great Council of Jhanglum City.
