With Levi smiling so magnanimously as he pointed towards the sword, Gerald saw no reason not to comply.

However, to his slight disappointment, Gerald felt that the sword was not as good as Levi had described it. Sure, they were all pretty good, but they might just be perfect in the eyes of commoners. In other words, none of them are good enough for the Gerald standard.

Still, Gerald knew better than to turn down the offer after going through all this. With that, he began to observe the sword carefully.

A few minutes later, he finally found one that was slightly better than the others in the pile. At the very least, he would be able to use this as a temporary weapon.

With that, he raised the sword, showing it to Levi and Yalinda before saying,

"In that case, I'll choose this one!"

"Good choice, brother Gerald! I hope you will use that sword on the day of our duel!"

Levi replied with a laugh.

"But of course!"

Gerald said enthusiastically.

Fast forward to that night, Gerald and Yalinda manage to return to the delivery house. There was no definite rule that they should stay in the city of Gardale, so they saw no reason not to return here.

To be honest, the only plus to living in a city is the fact that if something happens to them there, the authorities will have to take full responsibility.

On the contrary, if something happened to them outside of the city, the consequences would be on their own. That's why Clyde sent his men to kill Gerald once he was out of town.

After the deed was done, even if the king and queen Shontell and Zenon knew about what he was doing, they would not be able to hold him accountable.

Whatever the case may be, once the two enter the delivery house, Yale - who just happens to be there - directly jumps into Gerald's arms before yelling,

"Brother Gerald! You are finally back! It's been two whole days since we last met! I miss you so much.!"

Raising a slight eyebrow at the childish man, Gerald could only say helplessly,

"For God's sake, it's only been two days! Control yourself!"

Yalinda herself simply rolled her eyes in annoyance as she added,

"You know, rather than just waiting here, you really should try picking up some simple martial arts! Master can't protect you all the time, you know?"

Sure enough, Yale couldn't just rely on Gerald all the time for protection, and he knew it. Still, Yale could not help but frown, though,

"That's... Well, with the two of you here, who can I learn from?"

"Simple! Ask my father for help! Just so you know, he was the one who showed me the rope!" Answer Yalinda.

As he said that, Tanner approached them while saying,

"Oh? The yalinda! Gerald! You're back!"

"Dad!"

Yalinda shouted as she quickly ran to hug him.

Patting her affectionately, Tanner then asked,

"So. How's the competition, Yalinda?"

"I lost to Levi in my first fight! I don't really want to talk about it. However, you should have seen how powerful that master was, father! He beat Clyde with just one move, you know?"

Chuckling in response, Tanner then replied,

"Oh? Impressive! After all, losing is only part of the learning process! It's not a big deal! Besides, you're just participating for fun, right?"

Nodding in response, Yalinda then said,

"By the way, dad, I need your help with something!"

"Hm? What'sthat?" Tanner asked curiously.

"Well, starting tomorrow, I want you to start teaching Yale martial arts!"

"Huh? Why so suddenly? And why me?"

Surprised Tanner asked, clearly not expecting the request from his daughter.

"Yale has long wanted to learn, but master and I currently do not have time to teach him! So. yeah,"

Reply Yalinda while shrugging her shoulders.

After thinking for a moment, Tanner then looked at Yale before asking, Tanner said,

"yeah. Do you want to learn from me, Yale? Even though I'm not as strong as Gerald, I can still teach you the basics!"

Nodding in response, Yale then said,

"I! I just don't want brother Gerald to keep protecting me. With that, allow me to start learning martial arts from you from tomorrow onwards, Captain Juans!"

"good. I'll start waking you up early then! Think of this as a warning, but if you don't wake up on time, don't blame me for being merciless!"

Tanner replied while nodding in satisfaction.

Hearing that, Yalinda could not help but laugh. Inching closer to Gerald, he then whispered,

"Yale will get into a lot of trouble tomorrow, sir.! Just so you know, he's famous hard! I was punished many times by my father when I first started learning martial arts under him!"

Smiling subtly, Gerald was not really against the idea. After all, Yale had chosen to study martial arts, so he had better do it right.

If Yale managed to withstand all the torture and challenges that would come, he would definitely succeed in his quest.

Whatever the case, it was late at night when Gerald and Yale were in a room together, resting on their beds.

However, before long, Gerald's eyes opened when he suddenly heard footsteps on the roof. Sitting upright while continuing to listen vigilantly, Gerald then turned to look at Yale who was unfortunately sleeping like wood.

Either way, knowing that danger was imminent, Gerald then got off his bed before rushing out of the house.

Once he was outside, he jumped onto the roof, and was immediately greeted by the sight of four men wearing black clothes!

Seeing the four of them holding machetes, Gerald was compelled to ask, saying,

"Who are you? And what are you doing here?"

Hearing that, the four men exchanged glances.and after a while, they turned to attack Gerald!

With how fast they all are, Gerald can soon find out that they are all stronger than his student.
