Chapters 1826-1827

Chapters 1826.

"...Huh huh? That's... That's not possible! I'm sure they were in this room not long ago!" The confused owner.

"Are you trying to fool me?"

The furious Mr. Panther was clearly upset as he gripped the innkeeper's collar!

"A,- I didn't even dream of pranking you, Mr. Panther! I swear on my life that they were really here before!"

It was clearly the frightened innkeeper.

Before Mr. Panther could even retaliate, he was suddenly thrown out of the room by what looked like a sudden gust of strong wind!

Actually, that 'wind' was Gerald, who had just rushed towards Mr. Panther and gripped the man's neck!

However, since the others could not see Gerald in his current form, the two could only stare confusedly, completely unaware of what was really happening.

Whatever the case, with one powerful pressure, a sickening thump could be heard. Gerald just broke Mr.'s neck. The panther!

Knowing fully now that Mr. Panther had dirty thoughts on Juno and Yrsa, there was no way he would show mercy on b*stard...

Upon realizing that Mr. Panther was now dead, the frightened innkeeper and the other men immediately began to panic as they attempted to flee for their lives!

Unfortunately for them, Gerald won't spare anyone tonight. Flying straight after them, Gerald then easily kicked the two men across the corridor of the inn!

While the other man instantly died from a kick, the terror-stricken innkeeper was still alive.

Now lying on the ground, the innkeeper was so frightened that he barely realized that his bladder had just given up.

Unsure of what to do, the innkeeper then began to beg for mercy as he knelt on the ground.

To be honest, Gerald found the man's cries and pleas rather amusing. With that in mind, Gerald then stood in front of the innkeeper before suddenly making himself visible.

Gazing straight into the confused and frightened eyes of the innkeeper, Gerald then said,

"I know something's wrong with you. I'm glad I trusted my instincts! Anyway, share with me what you plan to do tonight."

Since Gerald was currently in ghost form, he looked extremely frightening, in fact, the innkeeper quickly found himself unconscious!

Seeing that, Gerald couldn't help but laugh. Still, he would not let the innkeeper leave so easily.

With that, Gerald then lifted the unconscious man before tying him to the chair with a strong rope.

After which, he made sure to lock the inn entrance as tightly as possible to make sure no one knew about what was going on inside the building.

Once that was done, Gerald then quickly disposed of Mr.'s body. Panthers.

After clearing the scene, she then darted back into her physical body causing Rey to nearly die of shock when the previously 'unconscious' Gerald suddenly sat down!

"K,-sister Gerald.! You're up! What the hell just happened? Why did you finally faint all of a sudden?"

Rey's puzzled question as soon as she regained her senses from her shock.

Realizing that Rey did not know about her out-of-body abilities, Gerald simply said,

"You'll find out one day!"

Of course it only made Rey even more confused by all this. Even so, since Gerald was unwilling to tell her about it now, he believed that there was a reason for it. Therefore, Rey did not urge Gerald to answer.

"After all, it's safe for us to go out and have a look now!"

Gerald said as he opened the room door and started walking downstairs.

Upon arrival downstairs, the four of them were greeted by the sight of the innkeeper being strapped to a chair, his bowed head indicating that he had fallen unconscious.

"...Huh huh? What really happened to him, brother Gerald." Rey asked in surprise.

Chuckling in response, Gerald then smiled faintly as he replied, Gerald,

"He just fainted from shock, I think!"

After which, Gerald took out a glass of water before splashing it all over the innkeeper's face!

Immediately waking up, the innkeeper's expression turned frightened as he began to shout,

"G-gho.! A ghost..."

However, before he could shout any further, he received a loud slap on his left cheek from Gerald! Gerald had done so to appease the innkeeper, and as he predicted, it worked.

Now calm, the dazed innkeeper could only stare at the four people standing in front of him.

Because Gerald's physical form was so different from his ghost form, the innkeeper could not realize that Gerald had done the deed before.

With that thought, the innkeeper could only ask in a trembling voice,

"...Whom... Who are you guys."

Hearing that, Gerald was a little pleased. After all, the fact that the innkeeper did not know that he was the ringleader of previous incidents meant that Gerald could be free from punishment.

After all, Gerald didn't want to waste too much time with him. With that, he glared at the innkeeper before asking,

"Before that. Tell us, boss. What exactly is your relationship with Mr. Panther...?"

After hearing that, the innkeeper directly lowered his head, clearly not daring to say a word.

"Hm? Not want to cooperate? I don't mind. Just so you know, I'm an expert in the art of torture! Mark my words, you will speak sooner or later!"

Gerald's ejek was somewhat excited as he summoned his Astrabyss Sword. He had honestly been waiting for an opportunity to finally resort to sadistic tactics to force vile individuals to confess.

Staring at the sword with wide eyes, the innkeeper could only gulp down before meekly saying,

"A, I'll talk.! Don't hurt me.! Look, Mr. Panther and I are partners! He started this inn and I am responsible for managing it! Every time someone stays at the inn, I have to tell him about it! Once that was done, what usually happened was that I would use my magic incense to put the customers into deep sleep. And when they wake up, they will be under his control! At that time, Mr. Panther can freely start extorting money from customers!"

Apparently, the inn they chose to live in belonged to a kind of gangster who extorted the money of his customers!

Unfortunately for Mr. Panther and the innkeeper, they did not anticipate having to deal with Gerald and his party. As a result, Mr. Panther eventually lost his life.

Whatever the case, Rey then stepped forward, glaring at the innkeeper while angrily asking,

"Tell me. How many times have you done this.?"

"Only three times.! After all, not many people come to our inn."

Shouted the frightened owner.

"So that makes us the third group, then?" Ask Rey.

"T-no... You're actually the fourth."

The innkeeper murmured, only to receive a loud slap on his other cheek as soon as his sentence ended!

Although Rey had just slapped him, the innkeeper was too afraid to make a sound.
