Chapters 1923.

After all, once he finished laughing, Tye used all her strength to lift the lid of the coffin!

Although Gerald immediately jumped forward and kicked Tye into the air after seeing that, the deed had been done.

With the coffin now open, the entire room began to shake violently, sending debris from l)the ceiling-falling everywhere.!

Even so, Gerald's attention was currently fixed on more worrying matters. Like a black fog that had just come out of a golden chest! As Gerald had predicted, there was something extremely dangerous inside that coffin!

Whatever the case, everything looks bad. With that in mind, Gerald immediately backed out of the room and reunited with Rey who was hiding in a blind spot just outside the room.

Upon seeing Gerald, Rey quickly asked,

"W-what should we do now, Mr. Crawford.?!"

"Run, of course! We gotta get out of here!"

Shouted Gerald as he grabbed Rey's arm before pulling her towards the exit.

Although escaping from this place unscathed was his priority, Gerald made sure to glance behind him as the two ran.

While the black fog did not chase Gerald or Rey, the mist completely surrounded Tye and her men! From the looks of it, the fog seemed to be rapidly draining the life force of Tye's men!

Although it might sound terrifying, it was nothing compared to the suffering Tye might feel.

After all, in that short period of time, Gerald saw Tye, he saw a black fog had pierced through the back of Tye's head, and it was currently coming out of her mouth! What a horrible way to die.

Still, Gerald made sure to remind himself that it was none of his business.

Soon after, Gerald and Rey make it out of the door safely. Before even thinking of leaving, the two made sure to close the entrance properly so that the black fog could not escape.

After that step aside, the two sat on the ground, exhausted. Rey herself gasps much heavier than Gerald.

After all, he was still new to witnessing such a dangerous chain of events, and all of this was happening inside the tomb!

Whatever the case may be, there is wisdom in all of this. After all, Tye and her men had received the vengeance they deserved.

The only regret Gerald had was that he could not kill the man's demon with his own hands.

Regardless, after catching his breath, Gerald turned to look towards Rey before saying,

"...Alright, now that all this is done, let's go back to the village. We need to give the villagers a proper burial!"

After Rey nodded in agreement, the two then started walking back to Moonbeam Village. Upon arriving there, the two immediately worked to bury Stanton and the other villagers.

While they are there, they make sure to clean up the mess that Tye and her men made as well. To think that Moonbeam Village would no longer exist from today onwards.

Though pathetic, Gerald and Rey know there's not much they can do. With that, once they were done with everything, they packed up their things and prepared to leave.

However, just as they were about to leave the village, a black figure suddenly ran out of the forest and shouted,

"It's time to meet your end, Gerald!"

Instantly recognizing Tye's voice, the two were completely shocked that she was still alive! Moreover, he looked much fiercer than before!

However, Gerald gasped, he could not help but raise his eyebrows slightly. From the looks of it, Tye's entire body was now covered by a terrifying-looking black bulge.

"...So, you're alive, huh?"

Gerald replied while observing Tye's new body from head to toe.

Laughing loudly, Tye then sneered,

After which, Tye glared at the two as she shot a black fog ball towards Gerald and Rey!

The two were able to dodge to the side in time, and seeing that Rey had no chance here, Gerald immediately instructed, saying,

"Find a place to hide! I'll deal with him!"

Just nodding in response, Rey then ran to one of the village houses as Gerald unsheathed the Astrabyss Sword. Squinting his eyes as his killing intent surged, Gerald then shouted,

"Since you're not dead yet, I'll take this opportunity to finish you off personally, Tye! The village chief and the villagers will be avenged no matter what!"

Just when Gerald felt it appropriate that he could still personally avenge innocent people, Tye simply responded with a derogatory laugh.

From that alone, it was clear that the current Tye was not even more afraid of Gerald than before. To him, Gerald was just an ant that he could easily crush now.

"Large talk, huh? Alrighty! Try me!"

Ejek Tye grinned before charging towards Gerald at an inhuman speed!

The black fog clearly increased his speed and strength, and in the blink of an eye, Tye was already right in front of Gerald, his fist - which was currently enveloped in black flames, - a good position and ready to attack...!

However, Gerald did not budge at all. Instead, he simply raised his sword to block the attack!

Since Astrabyss was an extremely powerful sword, it easily fended off Tye's attack.

Of course, this momentarily stunned Tye, and she immediately thought that the sword was the reason why Gerald was so powerful.

"...Oh? To think that you have a good weapon! Allow me to kill you so I can be the next owner!"

Ejek Tye with a wicked grin.

"Well! Come and get it if you can! "

Reply Gerald while laughing mockingly.

Before Tye could react, Gerald then channeled his energy into the sword, making Tye fly backwards!

Tye just got her new powers. In other words, there was no way he could face someone well trained with the Astrabyss Sword like Gerald.

Whatever the case, Gerald won't let Tye recover from the attack. With that, he shot out a powerful spirit sword towards Tye!

Unable to dodge the attack in time, Tye ended up being hit by the heaviest attack! Now mortally wounded by the Astrabyss Sword, Tye finally accepted that she was currently no match for Gerald. He must escape!

"...You might win today, Gerald, but we'll see who's gonna have the last laugh!"

Tye shouted as her body quickly disappeared into black fog before fleeing quickly.

Upon seeing that, Gerald was stunned for a moment. Now that Tye is no longer human, Gerald knows that getting her out won't be that easy anymore.

Still, it doesn't change the fact that he still has to end Tye if it's the last thing he does.

After realizing that the fight was over, Rey quickly exited the house where she was hiding and ran towards Gerald before asking in a worried tone,

"...What now, Mr Crawford.?"

Rey is really worried because Tye, a man who from the beginning became a bad egg - and only grew stronger - is now free.

Who knew what kind of damage he could do with all that power.?
