Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man
Chapters 1816-1817

Chapters 1816.

Hearing the man's question with a heavy voice, the Soul Hunter then replied,

"There's six, sir! And none of them could be contacted!"

Upon hearing that, the expression of the cloaked man instantly turned ugly. For the six people who just lost contact. Something terrible must have happened.!

"When was the last time we could call them?" Ask the man in the robes.

"From what we gathered, they were last heard from near the mountain pass!"

"I saw. Tell some people to go there immediately. The seventh squad must be found, regardless of whether they live or die!" The robed man's orders.

"Hard and clear!"

Shouted the Soul Hunter as he ran to do as he was told. None of them knew that Gerald and Juno had ended the lives of the six men.

However, once the cloaked man found out about the deed, he would definitely explode in anger.

Even so, there was no denying that the dead Soul Hunters deserved what they got because it was so inhumane.

After all, it was about an hour later when the Soul Hunters - who had been sent to search for those people - returned to the camp with six corpses from the seventh squad.

"Bad news, leader."

Shouted the Soul Hunter as he rushed into the hood of the robed man.

"Whatis that? But first, calm yourself down!"

Reply to the cloaked man while glaring at his subordinates.

While gulping, the frightened Soul Hunter then reported,

"The person you sent to look for the seventh squad. They've returned with six bodies! The seventh squad was actually taken out.!"

"What?!"

The robed man roared furiously as he got up and walked out of his tent.

As soon as he stepped out, he was immediately greeted by the sight of six corpses laid out in a row. Each of them had deep wounds on their necks.

Clenching his fists tightly, the angry man then growled,

"Who is responsible for this. Who would dare.!"

The cloaked man could not just sit idly by after his six men were brought out.

"After examining the bodies, we found that five of them died in one slash in the neck! From what we know, the assailant also did not use an ordinary sword! As for the sixth victim, he died from an incision on his neck as well, although it seemed to be from a different sword!"

Report the Soul Hunter in the red uniform.

Soul Hunters were divided based on the color of their uniforms. Those from the bottom level wore black clothes, and after promotion, they would be given red uniforms. Only the strongest of the strong would be given the purple uniform.

Naturally, the cloaked man was still the strongest individual in the organization. Although it was a known fact, no one knew how powerful he really was.

In fact, no one knew his real name or had any other information about him. He is a truly mysterious individual.

"..Saya see! As it turns out, our opponent this time is no ordinary threat!"

The robed man pouted while narrowing his eyes.

At that moment, the Soul Hunter in black uniform came running before reporting,

"Leader! The fifth troop had just sent out a report stating that they had found three people next to the river the day before! Although the three managed to escape, what was interesting to note was that the flow was not too far from the mountain pass!"

Based on the clues they had now, there was a high chance that the three men were responsible for the killing of the entire seventh army.

"Listen carefully and continue my order! Everyone should be fully armed at all times! Also, gather some purple Soul Hunters to hunt down that trio! I want them dead at the end of this!"

Shouted the cloaked man after a short pause.

"Bluffy and clear, leader!"

Shouted the other Soul Hunters as they raised their fists in response.

Gerald and the others had no idea how great of a danger they were about to face soon. After all, it was not long before the night sky began to encroach.

At that time, Gerald and his entourage had set up camp under a large tree and had already roasted the remaining meat on top of the fire they had started.

Ever since Rey chatted with Yrsa, Juno chose to stay by Gerald's side. There was a momentary silence between them, but finally, Gerald took a deep breath before saying,

"Listen to me, Juno, but I have some kind of idea!"

Raising an eyebrow, the amused Juno already had a premonition of what his idea was.

"Is your idea in line with me accepting Yrsa as my disciple? You want him to grow up to be a cultivator, don't you?" Juno asked directly.

Surprised that Juno had read it like an open book, Gerald then showed a serious expression before stating,

"Indeed. Since I have erased all of his memories, it should be easier for him to learn how to become a cultivator now!"

"You're not wrong there. I'll be honest and say that I've thought about it too. After all, I can't let you have all the disciples! I want it too!" Juno replied while chuckling.

"Then it's done! I'll see if I can persuade Yrsa then!"

Gerald answered, understanding that Yrsa's approval in all of this is equally important. Even so, Gerald was very confident that he would accept the offer.

With that thought, he then called Yrsa to sit by his side. After obediently coming over, Yrsa then sat down before asking with a smile,

"Yes, brother Gerald? Is there something you want to talk about?"

"Indeed! Well, first of all there are some questions we want to ask!"

Gerald replied with a subtle smile.

"I'll answer what I can!"

Said the girl who believed that rather enthusiastically. He seems to trust Gerald very much.

"Alright, first Do you know what Miss Zorn and I are doing?" Ask Gerald.

Hearing that question, Yrsa directly raised an eyebrow. It was clear that he had not thought about it before.

Had Gerald not started that question, he would have remained oblivious to that thought for quite some time.

After all, now that Gerald had asked the question, Yrsa found herself increasingly curious about the duo's work. After all, humans are naturally curious creatures.

"There's no clue. Share your thoughts, brother Gerald.?" Asked Yrsa with a timid smile.

"Well, we're cultivators!" Answer Gerald.

"Empower? What. what kind of job is that.?" Yrsa was confused.

It might just be his amnesia, but he had never heard of such a profession before!
