With that said, Gerald then began to look at The Eight Diagram more closely. After thinking for a while, he finally exclaimed,

"I think I understand now! The Eight Diagrams are not a mechanism at all! From what I've gathered, it's a clue that will lead us to the mechanism!"

Before the other two could even answer, Gerald was already looking for a mechanism according to the position of the elements in The Eight Diagram.

Still, they knew they had to face the rough with the smooth, so the three only gritted their teeth as they continued further into the cave.

As the day darkens, Rey pulls out a few flashlights from her backpack before handing them to Gerald and Yann.

To be honest, this place was a nightmare for anyone who was afraid of being alone in the dark. Thankfully, the three of them together and with the three rays of light illuminating their path, they were able to step forward more comfortably and safely.

About three hundred feet later, the three finally arrived at the end of the passageway, only to find it blocked by another stone wall!

On the one hand, this is the perfect embodiment of the saying,

'Get out of the frying pan and into the fire.'

"Damn it, another wall .?"

Rey muttered as she turned to look at Gerald.

Gerald himself only stared at the wall for a moment before gently putting his hand on it. And as soon as he did, the entire wall started to shake!

Glittering gold coins seemed to be everywhere, some even piled up so high that they resembled mountains.!

As if the scene was not yet grand enough, the candles inside even started to light up by themselves!

Rey and Yann exclaimed simultaneously, completely amazed by everything they saw.

"There are so many gold coins.! We're rich! We are rich!"

Yann shouted excitedly as she dashed into the room! While Gerald wanted to stop him, his attention was suddenly sidetracked by something else.

As he predicted, it was really here! Now that it was so close to him, there was no way he could resist getting it!

With that, Gerald paid little attention to what Rey and Yann were doing and simply walked towards the treasure chest.

Watching the seemingly endless number of gold coins slide down from the mountain of treasure that Gerald was slowly climbing up, Yann inevitably became more excited.

Taking off his backpack, he immediately started filling it with piles of treasure! After all, he had never seen this many gold coins in one place before, so he could not help himself.

While Rey-who stood beside-is equally excited to see all that gold, she knows better than to do what Yann is doing.

After all, Gerald had told him not to touch anything carelessly, and he would not break his orders.

"If I recall correctly, I specifically remember telling you not to touch any treasures here!"

"I know, I know, but all these treasures, Gerald.! If we get all this from here, we'll be able to live the rest of our lives without worry!"

Yann replied with enthusiasm.

Sensing a glint of greed in Yann's eyes, Gerald already knew that Yann had almost lost herself to greed.

"I'll just say it one more time. We'll leave now, and we won't bring anything back with us!"

Gerald said in a serious tone.

"I refuse! Anyway, I see you take something for yourself! If you can, why can't I?" Pout Yan.

Realizing that Yann had noticed him picking up the jade, Gerald was slightly transfixed. How could he explain that the pendant had a much greater value than all those treasures.?

Seeing Gerald having a hard time, Rey then yelled,

"Sir Yann, please listen to Mr. Crawford! I'm sure he has reason to forbid you from taking any of them back!"

Unfortunately, Yann was already completely consumed by greed at the moment.

"Go past my corpse! Since you don't want it so much, fine! They're all mine now! Mark my words, I would definitely take it all out today if it was the last thing I did!"

Yann shouted as if she had gone mad.

Rey growls as she turns to look at Gerald, understanding that Yann will no longer take advice from anyone.
