Whatever the case, Gerald simply nodded before walking out of the tower. Upon exiting, she sees Rey taking a nap with her back against the wall of the tower!

Squatting down, Gerald then patted Rey on the face several times while saying, Gerald,

"Hey, I didn't go in that long. Are you seriously sleeping here?"

"W-uh! Mr Crawford! You finally got out? I've been waiting a long time!"

"...A long time? I'm pretty sure I've been there at most half an hour,"

Gerald replied while raising a few eyebrows.

After all, Rey is not a person who likes to lie. Could time in the tower move differently compared to time in the outside world..? Anyway, as they say, anyway,

"a day in heaven is equivalent to a year in the human world".

"Forget that for now. I actually have some good news to share! Look, I managed to get the key to the great entrance of the Phangrottom Clan territory!"

"Shut up! Aren't you worried at all that others might know about this?"

Gerald replied while glaring at Rey while gesturing for her to hold her back.

Hearing that, Rey instantly calmed down, covering her mouth with her hands to make sure no more sound came out of her.

After walking for longer, the two found a city within Phantom City.

Although it looks no different from human settlements, the ghosts here have their own lifestyle that is clearly different compared to the human way of life.

As the two witness hordes of ghosts roam along the city's streets, it isn't long before several ghost soldiers - riding ghost-horses, besieging Gerald and Rey!

"You two, come with us!"

Command one of the soldiers in a cold tone.

Upon hearing the order, the two could only exchange glances. Knowing that there was no point in making a fuss, the two simply followed in the footsteps of the ghost army.

Finally, they arrived at a place that looked like some kind of palace within the city. After being brought in, the two immediately saw a ghost in armor sitting on the throne, looking extremely tall and mighty.

Unbeknownst to them, the ghost goes by the name of God Yohr, and he is the ruler of Phantom City.

"Your majesty! We caught these two strangers in our town!"

Upon hearing that, Yohr got up before narrowing his eyes at Gerald. After a while, Yohr then said,

"...You are a pretty special person!"

"Thank you, though, who are you...?"

Ask Gerald in a calm tone.

Laughing loudly, Yohr replied,

"You... Don't even know who I am? You actually dare to come here if you don't even recognize me!"

"He is the great king of our city, Lord Johr!"

Snapped at one of the ghost warriors standing at the side.

Hearing that, Gerald and Rey inevitably felt a little surprised. To think that there would actually be a ghost king here!

Whatever the case, Gerald felt that it was best not to directly offend these people.

To be honest funny, however, Gerald is a man who tries to make sense with a real ghost, not the other way around.

Regardless, Gerald then said,

"Originally, we're not here to cause trouble! We just passed the most feminine place!"

"Crossed? Where exactly is your goal?"

Asked Yohr in a much louder voice now.

"I went to find the Phangrottom Clan!"

Gerald said, seeing no reason to lie.

Even so, after hearing Gerald's reply, Yohr's expression instantly became grim as she said,

"You can't be serious. If you don't know, anyone who barges into their territory will definitely suffer bad luck! Do you really think you can make it back in one piece with just the two of you? Really ridiculous!"

Watching Yohr then snorting insultingly while glaring at them, Gerald only chuckled before smiling as he replied, Gerald,

"But of course I'm serious. Why don't I go there when you even call me 'the special one?"

"Are you talking back to me? Are you trying to prosecute death or something?!"

Yohr growled as she instantly turned into a dark mist that shot towards Gerald!

In a split second, Yohr was already standing a few inches away from Gerald's feet, his eyes glaring straight at the young man's eyes.

"Are you not afraid of death at all?"

Yohr ejeked as she continued to look at Gerald.

"Well! It was as if I would have come here from the beginning if I was afraid to die! Anyway, maybe this will answer your question!"

Gerald replied with a snort as he separated his spirit from his body!

Gazing at the shape of Gerald's ghost, the shocked Yohr couldn't help but exclaim,

"...So, you are a cultivator who is half human and a ghost?!"

While Yohr is well aware that there are half-human cultivators and other ghosts like Gerald, he also knew that these hybrid cultivators were generally much stronger and had far more abilities than fully human ones.

With that in mind, Yohr then turned to face his ghost army before commanding, Yohr,

"...Release them!"

After watching the soldiers perform Yohr's orders, Gerald then returns to his body.

Rey herself was shocked silent all this time. Based on what he had just witnessed, he now knew how the innkeeper was finally tied up all the other day.

After all, just as it happened a moment ago, Gerald's physical body was unconscious while he was in a ghostly form.
