Chapters 2014.

Realizing that, Gerald then jumped down again, landing on the field below. Naturally, the four assassins followed, and they immediately surrounded the young man.

Looking at each of them, Gerald then said,

"I'll ask you one more time. Who sent you here?"

Despite his intimidating tone, none of them said a word. Instead, they simply raised their machetes and started attacking towards Gerald!

Seeing that, Gerald knew that peace was not an option. While all four assassins have near-perfect teamwork, with each of them even having their own attack style that complements the others - that is sure to confuse their target.

It was a pity that their opponent was Gerald. Before they could even land a single strike on him, Gerald had thrown dozens of silver needles - which he had hidden under his clothes - into each one at lightning speed!

Because of how fast his attacks were, none of them could dodge in time! Because Gerald pointed the needle at their key chakra, they all ended up paralyzed instantly.

Once that was done, Gerald then walked towards one of them to open his face. But once he did, he immediately furrowed his brows. Apparently, the killer's mouth was sealed shut!

Checking the other three, Gerald saw the same thing. No wonder they hadn't said a word all along!

Still, the person who had sent the assassins must have been very careful in revealing their identities. Even so, to silence someone just to do that. It's so inhumane.!

At that moment, Tanner and Yalinda - who heard the commotion outside - came running.

"Gerald!"

Shouted the two of them, worried that something might happen to him.

"I'm fine!"

Gerald replied as he waved his hand.

Once they saw the four crippled assassins, Yalinda could not help but frown as she said,

"These people came to kill you? But why?"

Shaking his head, Gerald simply replied,

"I don't know, even though I know they were sent by someone else. After all, all their mouths were sewn! The person in charge of all this really does not want their identity to be revealed!"

Hearing that, Tanner thought for a moment before exclaiming,

"...Wait for. I've seen these guys before!"

Hearing that, Yalinda and Gerald immediately turned to look at Tanner with anticipation.

"I'm. I remember now! I think they're from the Gower family!" Added Tanner.

"...Whahuh? The Gowers? Sir, do you think Clyde."

Yalinda muttered after thinking.

"Well, we just need to find out from these four! Although they could not speak, they could still shake their heads and nod!"

Gerald replied with a wry smile.

Chapters 2015.

"Alright, listen. Answer my question honestly and maybe I'll save your life. Nod if that's true, and shake your head if it's not, got it?"

Gerald growled while glaring at the killer.

Hearing that, the man could only nod.

"good. First, are you from the Gower family?"

Gerald asked, pleased to get a reaction. While he hesitated for a while, the mute man finally nodded.

"I saw. And did Clyde Gower send you?"

Gerald asked, narrowing his eyes as the assassin nodded again.

Understanding his full story now, Gerald then turned to look at Tanner as he said, Gerald,

"Please have your men tie them up first, Captain Juans. I will report this to General Lucarl tomorrow! Gerald plans to face Clyde before the king, queen, and Kay tomorrow.

And since the four assassins could still be used as evidence, Gerald didn't feel the need to finish them off just yet.

After all, it wasn't long before Tanner's men came up with some ropes and sacks. Although the assassins were tied up and locked up in a warehouse, the Gerald made sure not to unseal their chakra, just for extra action.

Soon enough, morning came, and Gerald and Yalinda returned to Gardale City. As for Tanner, Gerald had him wait outside the city gates with the assassins, taking them to the city only when Gerald gestured to him.

By the time they entered the arena, everyone was already seated. As it turns out, the only competitors that have yet to come are Gerald and Yalinda. Of course, when Clyde saw Gerald and Yalinda were still alive, his eyes instantly widened.

He, for example, knew the abilities of his four great envoys. With that in mind, how is Gerald still alive?!

Gerald himself turned to face Clyde, and their eyes momentarily met. Seeing how panicked Clyde was, Gerald could only smile in satisfaction.

Whatever the case may be, once Kay sees that they are finally here, she immediately says,

"Representative of Juans Delivery House! It's a little late, don't you think?"

After hearing that, Yalinda walked towards him before respectfully replying,

"I'm sorry, General Lucarl, but we're late for a reason! We had a situation last night that we wanted to bring to the king, the queen, and also you!"

Raising a few eyebrows, Kay then said,

"Continue."

"Basically, my master was attacked by several assassins last night at the Juans Delivery House! From what we gathered, the assassins were sent by one of the competitors of this competition!"

Yalinda replied in a serious tone.

Hearing that, everyone present immediately exchanged glances before starting to discuss the situation.

Clyde, on the other hand, found himself pale from anger and shock. After all, not only had his assassins failed to defeat Gerald, but they had also been captured by him! There's no way he'll get out of this one.!
