Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man

Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man
Chapter 1878-1879

Chapters 1878.

"Are you tired of living or what, son? Are you seriously meddling in my affairs? Do you even know who I am?! "

The wounded man growled while continuing to stare intently at Rey.

"No idea, no matter! Anyway, let them go or I'll call the Supreme Council!"

Rey replies before pulling out her phone in hopes of threatening the gangster.

Upon hearing that, the injured man and his subordinates immediately started laughing mockingly. After he finished laughing, the man with the scar then scoffed, booing,

"Do you really think they'll come when they know we're involved! Go ahead and call them then! Look what happened!"

Hearing that, Rey was a little surprised. To think that these hooligans were not afraid of the power of the Supreme Council!

Shaking his head, the injured man then gestured for his men to chase Rey. Rey instinctively took a step back...

However, before he could take another, he suddenly felt a strong pat on his shoulder. Turning around and seeing that it was Gerald, Rey then whispered,

"...Brother Gerald.."

Simply pushing Rey back into her seat, Gerald then calmly replied,

"Just calm down and leave the rest to me!"

Understanding that everything will be fine now that Gerald is in, Rey chooses not to say a word.

To be honest, Gerald will eventually step in even if Rey doesn't. Still, Rey did simplify things for him.

Now he could skip talking to those fools and directly teach them a lesson that was well worth taking.

With that, Gerald took a step forward before disappearing into the air!

As everyone's eyes widened, wondering where he was going, their questions were immediately answered as some of the injured man's subordinates fell to the ground!

Staring at the young man - who was somehow already standing nearby -, the wounded man now realized how fast and powerful Gerald really was.

Not wanting things to end like this, the injured man quickly regained his senses from his shock before turning to look at his remaining subordinates and ordered,

"Damn it! Attack!"

To his horror, before his remaining men could even react, Gerald had already taken them all out! The only one left was the wounded man himself!

Realizing that he could not even see Gerald's shadow before his men descended, the frightened hooligan now knew that he had no chance against this young man...

Sensing the gentle breeze in front of him, the injured man then trembled as he realized that Gerald was now looking at him right in his eyes..!

Pouting, Gerald then stated,

"Get out of my sight! I've never wanted to see you or your men here again! Ignore that and you can all expect to receive a one-way ticket to hell!"

Swallowing his saliva as he immediately nodded in fear, the injured man then quickly rushed away with his subordinates like a pitiful rat.

With that, Gerald then walked over to the stall owner and his daughter before smiling as he said,

"Everything's fine now."

"Thank you... Thank you very much...!" Shouted the relieved kiosk owner.

"Don't worry about that. I just did what was right!" Gerald replied in a humble tone.

Still, to think that Rey would be faster than him in terms of seeking justice for others...

Thankfully Gerald was there when all this happened, otherwise, who knew what kind of trouble Rey would have...

While Rey's truth was truly praiseworthy, she was still too weak to ridicule others...

"By the way, we're not full yet, boss! With that said, why don't you continue the business?" Gerald.

"Oh! Give me a minute and I'll make more food for you all then!"

The stall owner replied almost instantly, a big smile on his face. Since they had just saved her, it was only natural that she felt the need to repay their kindness with hospitality.

With that, he quickly started setting up his stall again before starting work.

"I'm really grateful for your help today, so this is all on me!" The shop owner said.

Before Gerald or the girls could answer, Rey had said,

"You're too polite, boss! It's just a small matter for us!"

Hearing that, the three of them could only stare at Rey with their eyebrows raised, thinking of how shameless she was.

"Well, small or not, it still helps us a lot! Now eat and let me know if you need more!"

Answer the stall owner before happily returning to work.

As soon as he left, Juno could only glare at Rey as she said,

"Hey, next time don't act impulsively, Rey!"

Scratching the back of his head in response, the slightly embarrassed young man then chuckled sheepishly before replying,

"I'm just trying to help, Miss Zorn!"

"I understand, but you must consider your own abilities before choosing such a fight! Had Gerald not been present today, you would have been beaten to a pulp!" Reply Juno.

Almost everyone would step in to deal with those hooligans if they had the ability to do so.

However, the fact that no one had done so meant that they all understood that they would never be able to deal with the gangster using that bat without getting into serious trouble.

Whatever the case, Rey then grinned mischievously before replying,

"I know, I won't do anything like this again, Miss Zorn... I'll hand it over to brother Gerald!"

Hearing his name, Gerald then cleared his throat before saying,

"While it's true that your righteous behavior deserves praise, even I beg you not to be too impulsive in the future!"

Regardless of the compliment, Gerald should make sure to properly share how he feels about today's event.

"Understand me, brother Gerald! I'll remember!"

Rey replied while nodding, completely understanding where Juno and Gerald came from.

Basically, Gerald tells him not to be too right when the odds are stacked against him. After all, he's still not as strong as Gerald.

Still, Rey can't help but wonder how great it would be if she could face an enemy like Gerald did.

After all, it was about half an hour later when the four of them finally finished eating and started to leave.

Naturally, Gerald insisted on paying the stall owner, and in the end, he was forced to accept payment.

Gerald, for example, knew that life was not easy for him and his daughter, so he would pay for it regardless of how much he objected.

Either way, after returning home, the four then headed to their respective rooms to get a proper rest. After that busy day, they were all exhausted...

Well, most of them. Gerald, for example, knew that he could not just sit there and do nothing now because he knew that the injured man and the Hoklux Gang existed.

They are already causing trouble and fear for members of the public, and they will definitely be even bolder in the future if something is not done now.

With that in mind, Gerald lay on his bed... And before long, his ghostly form flew out before swiftly heading towards the Hoklux Guild headquarters...
