Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man
Chapter 1777

Chapters 1777.

The next morning, Gerald takes Ray with him and leaves.

"Where are we going so early in the morning, Gerald?" Ray asked confusedly.

She had been unable to sleep well in the past few days, and when she was finally able to sleep in her own bed, Gerald came early in the morning to drag her out! It really made her feel helpless.

"We're going to the Ghost City Dark Sect!" Answer Gerald.

As they spoke, they immediately arrived at the Dark Sect tower of Ghost City. As the hunt for the Bucket Lord was still ongoing, the construction of the Darkness Sect had been halted, leaving the entire tower sealed.

However, due to the sudden termination, many people end up losing their jobs. As the saying goes, 'Karma will always come back to bite'.

After all, while stepping in front of the entrance of the tower, the two discovered that the door had been locked with chains. There was even a strip seal attached to it!

"How do you think we can get in, brother Gerald?" Ask Ray.

Not giving a response, Gerald simply walked around the tower, looking here and there until finally, he found an air vent connected to the back of the tower.

Removing the lid, Gerald then started squeezing it! Seeing that, Ray knew that all he could do was follow. After crawling for a while, the two finally walked into the third-floor bathroom of the tower.

Knowing that the Ember Lord's room was on the sixteenth floor, Gerald then headed for the stairs and started running up!

Even after running all the way to the top, Gerald's face barely flushed, nor did his heart beat. In fact, he did not feel the need to breathe air!

"Can please. We're not going this fast next time.? I'm dying here.!"

He really did not know how Gerald could climb the sixteen stairs. It was truly an inhumane feat!

Then again, Gerald wasn't an ordinary human from the start. At this point, he was already half a ghost, so his body no longer functioned like an ordinary human. With that said, the sixteen fleets of stairs were nothing to him.

Regardless, Gerald did not bother to reply to Ray's statement and instead started looking for clues about the Ember Lord in the room.

After what Juno had told him the day before, Gerald knew he could no longer be passive. They had to take the initiative to make the Ember Lord come to them, and the only way that would happen was if Gerald managed to find something the Ember Lord cared about.

Once he managed to obtain such an object, Gerald would definitely be able to catch it. Either way, after searching for a while, Gerald finally managed to find a small wooden box in the room.

It was just a simple-looking old box that did not look special. Even so, the fact that the Bucket Lord - someone with such a high status -, even possessing such a normal-looking box was a strange thing.

With that in mind, Gerald thought that the wooden box must have contained something important to the Ember Lord, and he must have forgotten to bring it.

Immediately opening the box to see if he was right, Gerald was greeted by the sight of a ring made of green jade. With how dull the jade ring was, it was clear that it was very old.

After examining the ring a little longer, Gerald then put it back in the wooden box before stuffing the box into his pocket with the intention of bringing it back.

At that moment, an angry voice suddenly sounded screaming,

"Who's there?" Hearing that, Gerald and Ray immediately turned their heads to look at the door.only to realize that it was old Flint and a few other men!
