Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man

Gerald Crawford, The Invisible Rich Man
Chapter 1798-1799

Chapters 1798.

Seeing Gerald stepping on the brakes, Ray takes the opportunity to take out a wooden box from his backpack. The box itself had a painting that resembled a spider on the lid.

After which, Ray slowly opened the wooden box. Reveal one black bead.

"The item they were after. was this bead!" Rey said, handing the box over to Gerald.

Picking up the box, Gerald then stared at the black beads and a moment later, the beads instantly glowed red!

Seeing that, the two exchanged looks. Both of them have seen the same thing.

"Where did you get this thing?" Ask Gerald after a short pause.

"Well, remember when we went for a walk in the countryside? I found it on the bank of a small river and felt compelled to pick it up. Then, Tyson and the others realized that I had the box, and they immediately wanted me to give it to them even though I refused." Answer Ray.

"so. Did anything strange happen to you after you took the box?" Ask Gerald.

Hearing that, Ray thought for a moment. After quite a while, Ray finally said,

"In hindsight, there was one incident. Just then, I had just returned home when the beads suddenly started emitting a dazzling red glow. To be honest, I'm sure it'll explode by then! However, the light dimmed after that, and since then the beads did not act strange."

"Red light. You mean the one we just saw?"

"Bingo. Anyway, do you know what these black beads are, Mr Crawford.?" Ray asked while looking at Gerald.

In response, Gerald simply shook his head. Although he did not know the slightest bit for what the bead was used for, he knew that it was filled with the aura of an evil spirit.

With that in mind, the bead was definitely bad news. With that in mind, after seeing the beads for longer, Gerald then closed the wooden box before returning it to Ray.

"Hold this first, Ray. Once we get back to the office, I'll have someone take a look. With any luck, we will be able to know more about its history!" Gerald said in a reassuring tone.

Nodding in response, Ray then replied,

"Hard and clear, Mr Crawford!"

After making sure that the box was safely returned to Ray's backpack, Gerald then started the car engine again before driving straight to the office.

Upon arriving, the two saw that Juno had already prepared everything for the trip.

"I've packed all the equipment we're gonna need, Gerald! We're all ready to go!" Juno Report.

"remarkable. We'll leave at dawn then!" Gerald said as he turned to face Juno and Rey.

"...Well, if you insist." Ray replies, sensing how sincere Gerald's concern for him is. With that, a brief creak of tires could be heard.

Chapters 1799.

Since they went on a mostly blind adventure, the three of them had no idea what kind of trouble was going to happen.

With that in mind, all they could do was prepare different tactics and equipment, in the hope that it would make them quite prepared to deal with the situation they ended up in.

Still, with Gerald there, Juno and Ray no doubt felt much more confident. After all, both of them knew that Gerald would never let anything happen to them.

After all, the three of them came early that night. In any case, they were going to start a new adventure the next day, so they had to get enough rest and be in good shape.

At eight o'clock the next morning, the three see once again a map of Gerald - which Old Flint gave them - before getting into the car and driving to Sunset Village.

From their starting point, it would take about two days before they got there. With that in mind, they had to spend two whole days on the road.

While Gerald was speeding down the highway, Juno - who was sitting in a rifle seat - spent time reading a book titled, 'Theory of Yin and Yang', which he borrowed from Ray's house.

A little while later Juno closed her book for a moment. And that's when he realized something.

"Say, the book doesn't mention who the author is!" Juno Mumbled.

"Yes, I also realized it. I wonder if they just forgot to add the author's name when publishing it." Ray's reply had clearly been aware of it long before, even though he didn't really consider it important.

"forget? Such books must undergo rigorous examination! Without the author's name, the book could not have been published! At least not legally!" Answer Juno.

"Well, there's also the case that the author of the book is a special person. With that in mind, authors can easily ignore the need for their name to be written on the cover to be published!" Gerald said, putting in two of his cents.

"When you say it like that, it makes a lot of sense!" Juno replied in agreement.

"Stay away. If the author is really special, doesn't that make the book also very special? Why did they choose to publish it?" Ray said in a confused tone.

"A valid question. Still, the book is published with a mysterious author. I wonder if the book holds any secrets in it." Juno Mumbled.

"By the way, did the book mention anything about the Blood Devil mark? From the Blood Demon Clan?" Ask Gerald.

Hearing that, Juno started flipping through the pages, and after a while, she realized that there was a mention of the token!

"There was. Apparently, the Blood Demon token was a holy artifact of the Blood Demon Clan. It could be used to rule all ghosts and spirits!" Answer Juno.

Upon hearing that, Gerald slightly nodded. Apparently, what Old Flint said to him was true.

"Say. Are we heading to Sunset Village to get the Blood Devil mark.?" Ray asked who seemed to have caught something.

Juno turned to look at Gerald as well when he heard that.

"Actually we will go to the most feminine place to search for the territory of the Demon Blood Clan. With any luck, we can finally get the Blood Demon token!" Gerald replied without hesitation.

Since the three were involved in this together, Gerald found little reason to hide such important information.
