Ch. 9 – Broodmother and New Challenger

Running while avoiding the trees for five minutes, this allowed Leinn to travel many times the distance compared to the previous day.

With his speed that Leinn managed to shock the few Beasts he passed by, some did not even have time to react before he disappeared from their sight.

And his footsteps finally stopped.

Now he was standing 200 meters away from the Giant Tarantula group that was swarming over something.

There were at least 40 Giant Tarantulas surrounding and attacking a pile of rocks that formed a dome.

It seemed like the supervisor and the two young men were inside and still surviving.

Bham bham...

A crack formed in each impact of the huge spider legs around it, then instantly covered itself the next instant. It repeated continuously until the speed of repair of the stone dome began to slow down, looking like it would not be able to last much longer.

Leinn began to inspect the surrounding area and found one Giant Tarantula that was much larger than the others waiting in a position not far from this stone dome, surrounded by six Giant Tarantulas in white.

Clack-clack

The biggest Spider Beast must be the Giant Tarantula Broodmother told by Aura, the parent and leader of the Giant Tarantula group.

With long white and red fur, she had a body over three meters tall. Its much larger fangs and its slippery, dark brown front two legs make it look quite monstrous.

The Spider Beasts standing around him had white feathers all over their bodies with a height of one meter.

The Giant Tarantula Broodmother was like giving orders to the group of spiders.

Seeing this situation, Leinn realized that he could not save the besieged group without injuring them as well.

The next best plan is to take down Broodmother who leads all of the Giant Tarantulas.

“Good..”.

The distance between himself and this Broodmother was still 300 meters away and seeing the time getting more urgent, Leinn jumped five meters from the ground with his right hand already grasping the handle of the sword in his left hand.

His body floated past the group of spiders surrounding the stone dome and landed several meters away from them. Just as one foot touched the ground, he shot straight towards the Giant Tarantula Broodmother like a loose arrow.

“Clear Sky Style”

The broodmother only realized that the thing that appeared suddenly was a human when she was already up to 50 meters in front of her. In his entire life he had never met a creature that could move as fast as that little human, making it too late to react.

[Moving Cloud]

With a single pull of the sword, a huge sword wave came out and shot out rapidly.

The crescent-shaped wave ripped through the ground and rushed towards the Broodmother's head in front of her.

Before the attack could reach its target, the two white Giant Tarantulas beside him leaped into the middle of the attack path.

The bodies of the two instantly split into two, and the attack reached Broodmother's body.

The clack-clack!

But that sword wave could only deal superficial wounds on Broodmother's two front legs, seeing that the attack energy had already reduced by quite a lot after passing through the bodies of those two powerful Giant Tarantulas.

And it seems like the defense that this Giant Tarantula Broodmother has far exceeds the ordinary Giant Tarantula, especially on the two front legs that have different colors.

THE CLACK-CLACK!

Seeing that his attack did not inflict a fatal wound, Leinn immediately ran over to him while sheathing his sword back.

Before he could move too close, another four white Giant Tarantulas had already leaped at him. The first spider showed its fangs that gave off an unpleasant smelling liquid, intending to chew its head.

With a single pull of his sword, the first spider split right in the middle. Using this opportunity, the second spider had already nearly stuck its fangs on Leinn's shoulders.

A dull sound could be heard and the second spider's jump was stopped by the sword sheath in the hand of the young man who managed to hit his head from above.

Before the second spider could continue its attack, Leinn rested on his sword sheath and pushed the spider to the ground.

Then Leinn swung his sword upwards, slashing the jumping third spider and giving a surprise attack to him.

Bham

HISS

The pressure on his head disappeared and he prepared to launch the next attack, but the effort was cut short by the slash separating his head and body.

Leinn jumped down from the corpse of this second spider and found the fourth spider just standing on standby in front of Broodmother, protecting her.

Those eight eyes of the Broodmother Tarantula suddenly began to glow red.

YAAAAA...!

An unusually loud shout came out from his mouth, and it managed to shake the ground and the trees in a fairly large area around him.

Hearing that shout, Leinn immediately turned to the group of Giant Tarantulas that swarmed the stone dome earlier and found they had formed a black wave that was moving rapidly towards him.

Looking at this situation, Leinn instantly composed his next move, his distance with this Giant Tarantula wave was less than 150 meters, the time was not much if he wanted to run 20 meters to finish off the Giant Tarantula Broodmother and her protector.

“...” he turned to look at Broodmother who was looking at him with hate.

But that group of Giant Tarantulas would run without direction after losing its leader, would he be able to fight against that many Giant Tarantulas while protecting the three wounded?

Not to mention all the Giant Tarantulas scattered throughout the area that were running here after hearing the Broodmother's call.

“Hah..” Leinn let out a long sigh, finding his options already very limited.

Leinn removed the grip of his right hand from the handle of his sword and closed his eyes.

He just stood still in front of the black wave that was approaching him quickly.

CLACK-CLACK-CLACK-CLACK

The sound of the Giant Tarantula's legs getting louder the closer they approached, like they were about to stomp the young man to death.

And finally Leinn opened her eyes.

“Come Lu-“

GROAAAARS

Leinn's whisper was cut off by a loud roar coming from a distance, precisely from behind the Broodmother.

“Huh?”

He had just realized the existence of a new Beast that was moving very quickly approaching them, which was emitting a greater power compared to the Broodmother in front of him.

It seemed like this creature heard Broodmother's cry earlier and considered it a challenge.

GROARS!

A huge shadow leaped from among the trees towards the Broodmother, and the white Giant Tarantula beside her leaped to protect her queen. In one smooth motion, the huge shadow bit the white spider and swung its claws towards the Broodmother in front of him.

This huge spider immediately jumped to the side to avoid that surprise attack, but a long wound could be seen appearing on its stomach. He didn't manage to escape fast enough.

Grrr...

Finally Leinn could clearly see the form of the new Beast...

“Hah!”

The large body was covered in red-white feathers, with four legs and a tail that looked extremely strong. His sharp eyes stared at the Giant Tarantula Broodmother in front of him ferociously.

The powerful jaws were filled with sharp fangs, which could chew on the lifeless body of the white Giant Tarantula so easily.

With a single swing of his head, the corpse of the Giant Tarantula was thrown and hit a tree, breaking into pieces.

THE ROAAAR!

The four-meter-long wolf roar the ground where they stood, sounding much stronger and gripping than the Giant Tarantula Broodmother's earlier shout.

Leinn saw the two Beasts in front of him start fighting, then found a new opportunity.
