Ch. 89 – Trust in Your Opponent

Even though the sentence came out of his mouth, Leinn could not help but smile as he endured the attack after attack that came towards him.

The exchange this time became much more fierce.

Roland continued to give non-stop attacks and every two seconds, he would disappear and appear on the other side of the black-haired youth.

What was even more unbelievable was that Leinn was still able to hold on, even giving out several counterattacks among the rain of attacks.

The entire audience seemed to be getting excited at the exchange between the two young men, and among all those people was Adeline.

“Keren also this technique..”.

Aura turned her head and showed a puzzled expression after hearing those words.

“What do you mean? Didn't you say..?”

“Hm...? Oh no, I have not seen the maximum potential of this technique before”

The blue haired girl turned her attention to the girl beside her.

“After three times Roland moved places like that, Dad instantly blew up one of his swords”

“Then..?”

Adeline returned her attention to the carpentry of the two youths above the arena.

“Then everything exploded”

Aura immediately took notice of the situation above the arena, precisely in one of the swords that stuck there.

Information and theories began to revolve in his mind and he realized some things that were not related to the effect that allowed Roland to move like he was moving in that instant.

First, every sword that was struck was protected by a layer of lightning that could not be pierced by ordinary attacks. The person who tried to touch him would receive no small counterattack.

Second, if an attack were to break through and hit the sword then a chain reaction would occur. All of the energy present in all of those connected swords and the attack energy that struck them would result in one huge explosion.

Third, and the most terrible. Instead of decreasing as time went on, the Mana Lightning in each of those swords would continue to increase.

So if people could survive the rain of Roland's direct attack, they would feel the final burst of all the energy accumulated in all the swords stuck in the ground.

“Ha..!”

Roland saw his sword being knocked back when it hit Leinn's sword sheath which he swung with all his might.

He looked at the purple silhouette that had only drifted about without doing anything since earlier suddenly moving and touching the right hand of the young man in front of him.

Sensing the danger, Roland immediately leapt back with all his might despite the intense pressure on his body trying to stop him from moving.

His two swords prepared in front of him to hold anything Leinn would throw at him.

“Taste this, Roland!”

The sword eyes in his right hand turned dark purple, giving off a dense cold atmosphere to the surroundings. In one smooth move he swung the sword.

[Reaping Wave!]

The purple sword wave floated up rapidly. Not towards Roland who was in a defensive position, but towards the sword that was stuck on the ground nearby.

“Aaah..!” several screams rang out from around the magic circle outside the arena.

When Adeline told him the identity of that Roland technique, the few people standing near them could hear that and became panicked.

The information spread quickly and finally everyone who was guarding the magic circle increased their vigilance.

And they turned into panic again when they saw Leinn launch a wave of swords towards one of Roland's swords. They instantly prepared themselves for a huge explosion that would shake their protector.

“Crazy!”

Roland was surprised to see what the young man in front of him was doing.

With the amount of Lightning Mana already accumulated in his swords, the resulting explosion would not be maximal but would be enough to injure himself.

He would not come out with a light wound in his current state, the lightning light began to envelop his entire body preparing to make his lightning move to move out.

“...”

This time Leinn who was showing a shocked expression, his body that had just finished issuing his attacks was instantly spinning and his sword sheath moved to protect his left waist.

Roland disappeared and appeared on Leinn's left side and looked at the sword sheath in front of him, then chose to keep swinging his two swords with all his might to it.

“Hah!”

The bham!

The mana in the amount of scatter also flowed into the giant magic circle and the protective dome began to thicken rapidly, then-

“Huh..?”

Nothing happened...

...Besides Leinn who bounced five meters with pain in his left wrist.

“Haha! Did you learn to see the future too?”

The sword in his right hand was again sheathed and Leinn started rubbing against her painful wrist.

“No. I just can't believe you're gonna do such a stupid thing”

Roland turned his head towards his sword that had just received that purple sword wave, with a small smile on his face.

That smile she used to hide her already heightened alertness. He saw clearly all of the Lightning Mana in the sword was gone in an instant when it received the attack, then it was refilled in the next instant from the other ten swords.

“I believe you”

The sentence came out from Roland's mouth which was staring at the black-haired young man in front of him with a small smile, while gathering Lightning Mana for the next attack.

“Oh. Thank you, Young Master”

The same smile appeared on Leinn's face as he scratched the back of his head. He began to draw out his sword while closing both of his eyes.

Crackles...

Clangs!

The sword met the sword, the same sight.

But this time the audience showed great surprise. Because they could see clearly this time it was Roland who resisted the attack from Leinn.

They saw Leinn open his eyes and directly swing his sword in front of him, and there also appeared Roland who showed a surprised expression.

“Haah..!”

Roland started to continue with the next attacks but it was clear their position had changed.

Leinn was able to find where his opponent appeared and give his attack first.

Amidst his attacks on that Roland, he could still several times release waves of purple swords towards the surrounding swords.

“Ha! Come, Roland!”

The blue-eyed gaze of the blond young man was met with the purple-eyed gaze of the young man in front of him.

He swung the sword in his left hand and slashed upwards, which his opponent avoided with a single step back.

A small smile appeared on his face.

The sword in his right hand started to take the same path as the previous slash, it was just that this sword touched the ground below it and dragged the stream of lightning down.

[Thunder Incarnated, One Clap]

The sword swing in his right hand followed the sword of his left hand and slashed through the empty air, without letting out any waves of astonishment.

But not for a second did Leinn think the blonde young man in front of her could make such a blunder and she immediately tried to prepare herself for whatever was to come.

“Aha..!”

And of course, a 50-centimeter-wide yellow circle appeared under his feet.

Crackles...Booms!

Leinn immediately dodged by using his sword sheath as a jumping pile, forcing his body to move backwards.

Lightning snatched from the ground and shot into the sky, hitting the protective dome on top of it.

But he could not take a breath as suddenly, five yellow circles appeared around where he was standing.

Roland had just finished spinning and dragged the two swords in his hands on the stone floor five times in a row.

[Five Clap]

Crackles...Booms!
