Ch. 102 – Change of Nature

Aura and Adeline looked at the clumsy girl and became increasingly confused, given the very different nature she had shown in the main Hall seven days ago.

The girl now looks very shy?

“...and lastly, you can also use the Linker you get to check the class schedule the week ahead. Happy learning, my students!”

And in style, Isaac floated out of the classroom.

Most of the students of the class disbanded, walking out of the front and back doors of the classroom.

Now all that was left there were the two young men who were still closing their eyes, the two girls sitting beside them...

“...”

...and a girl who was still standing in front of that empty classroom.

That gripping silence lasted for quite a long time, making Aura feel extremely uneasy. He thought this atmosphere would not end, until suddenly...

“...Aah..!”

An annoyed voice came out from the mouth of the black-haired young man who jumped up from his seat while frowning his forehead.

“...”

The blonde-haired young man in front of him also got up from his seat and simultaneously, the two of them jumped over their table and started walking to the front of the class.

Towards the girl.

“Hei”

Leinn immediately let out an annoyed voice as soon as he arrived in front of the girl who was still bowing her head.

“Hei..”.

Weak answers returned from the mouth of the gads.

“Ugh..”

Leinn started scratching his head in annoyance then turned his head towards Roland beside him and they exchanged glances.

Aura and Adeline who were already standing from their seats could see Leinn sighing shortly then taking one step closer to the girl-

“Huh?!”

The startled shout came out from Aura which saw Leinn suddenly open wide both of her hands, then hug the girl.

It happened for a while, until when Leinn let go of her embrace then took one step back and-

“Huh?!”

A startled shout this time came out from Adeline, who saw Roland also take one step forward, wide-open both his hands, then hug the girl as well.

Before the two of them could digest what was going on in front of that class, Roland had already let go of his embrace and took one step back as well.

Then they both grabbed the girl's wrists and pulled her out of the room, giving her only one wave of hands before disappearing behind the exit.

Aura was finally convinced that girl was what they two meant about someone they wanted to pursue, Hinata...

“...Springleaf?”

After finally having a clear enough mind to return to thinking, Aura immediately realized that one thing.

And he's getting more confused.

...

“What do you want to do?”

The question in a flat tone came out from Leinn who was still walking slowly while pulling the wrist of the white-haired girl behind him.

“Tell us”

The next remark came from Roland who pulled another wrist of the girl with her flat face.

“...”

The white-haired girl, Hinata did not reply and simply walked over while allowing herself to be pulled by the two young men.

Leinn and Roland exchanged glances for a moment, then thought of a few things. They knew some ways to comfort the girl behind them, most of which they could not do with their current state of body.

So they can only finally...

“Hinata”

Leinn called his name, successfully taking his attention.

“Tapir”

Roland suddenly said that word, surprising him.

“...”

Leinn and Roland stopped their steps and just stared at the girl.

“...Flying Plate”

Hearing that answer, they instantly let go of their grasp and started walking again.

“Bangkap”

“...Carung”

Roland replied after thinking for a moment, not stopping his steps.

“Rungu!”

Hinata began to catch up and began to walk between the two young men, looking excited again.

Leinn and Roland only smiled when they saw that and continued their exchange while walking towards the academy's gate.

...

Aura stood alone under one of the trees growing in front of the first year student residence building, just staring at the flat transparent pieces that were showing the class schedule this afternoon.

He had already missed the afternoon class because seeing the shock condition Adeline had experienced earlier made her very worried, so she had only accompanied the girl for a few hours in her room.

Adeline finally asks him not to worry about her and stays in the afternoon class, leaving him who has no plans to move out of his bed until tomorrow.

The Magic Theory class had already passed by this afternoon, leaving behind several classes-

“Oh hey, Aura!”

Aura raised her gaze and found Leinn was walking up to her with a small smile on her face.

“Hi Le-“

The memories from this morning suddenly appeared and stopped his voice just like that, shocking Aura herself.

“What's up?”

“...it's okay..”

Aura shook her head then showed a small smile to the young man in front of her.

“...”

The smile on Leinn's face simply disappeared after hearing that, making Aura recall the Gift of the black-haired young man.

“A-ayo go to Main Building!”

So he immediately took a quick step while pointing in one direction, trying to make some distance with Leinn behind him.

Of course the difference in their physical strength did not let it last long, seeing Leinn just leisurely walking beside Aura who was doing a brisk walk with all her might.

This went on long enough for their destination building to become visible.

“So, how about your brother?”

Leinn stopped his steps and turned towards Aura who was stabilizing her breath. He had actually also searched for the man around the academy in his spare time, but had not managed to find him.

“Hah... Sister..?”

“Yes, Blaze”

Aura finally finished setting her breath and recalled that Blazing Sun City Hero, Her First Brother, Blaze Flameheart. Then he also recalled the short message he received the day after he was announced as the champion of the three junior tournaments.

‘Congratulations’

One short word he received from the Messages feature in his new Linker, from the number that has been stored directly in the Linker under the name ‘Blaze Flameheart’.

“Looks Brother... saw my fight?”

After discovering that one's Linker account name must be the same as their identity card, Aura only shed her tears nonstop while staring at that one word on her transparent plate.

“And he... not disappointed!”

The aura showed the widest smile ever to appear on his face, exuding an extremely pure sense of pleasure.

Leinn who was standing in front of him looked stunned for a moment after seeing that, then showed a smile on his face as well.

“Congratulations”

That one word from Leinn made Aura flinch in shock, because the same word as the message she received was.

Aura then shook his head and started walking towards that clear-cut Main Building. Several things were becoming a burden on his mind, and he got a new question from Leinn's reaction.

‘What does he see?’

Whether since when, Aura realized she had found little reactions from Leinn almost invisible. And this time Aura could see the young man as stunned by a shocking sight when he showed a feeling of pleasure after remembering the message he received.

Aura knew that Leinn's Gift allowed her to see the Feelings of a person or Beast that she saw, but she did not know the details of that ability.

Does he see it as a color?

Or patterns?

Or even something that really has nothing to do with it all?

Aura kept thinking about those possibilities until they finally reached the front entrance of the main building.

And Leinn walked past Aura, then turned her body.

“So, get here ya”
