Ch. 70 – Blue-Haired Girl in a Frozen World

Adeline closed her eyes and started chanting incantations seriously, the ten magic circles around her started to spin rapidly.

Aura realized her opponent was intending to end this fight with his next attack. He looked at Rufus who was trying to attack Adeline without succeeding because of the Ice Golem protecting her four sides of it.

Tactics after tactics appeared and changed, but Aura's instincts said none of that would work.

Ready to withstand the attack? Can't do.

Trying to stop that magic spell before it launches? Couldn't.

Aura began to look at that entire arena and found one way. Through his Contract he called back Rufus and began chanting a spell while continuing to think hard.

Based on the knowledge he got from the famous Hunter records, which contained information from the abilities of the Eternal Ice God, the amount of Mana in the air, the theory in the speech, and in this situation.

Information after information began to be processed quickly in his head and he finally came to one answer.

“Ruff”

Aura immediately jumped onto Rufus' back without stopping his tidying and a ten-centimeter-wide red magic circle began to appear and follow behind him.

Rufus began to run around the arena randomly, like dodging an invisible attack.

Five, ten, twenty, forty circles finally revolved behind Aura and began to shine.

A five centimeter-wide Pure Mana Bullet began to drift out from that circle every second towards Adeline. Each bullet had only a small force but the number reaching the hundreds began to rain down on the arena and lift the layer of dust around Adeline.

Adeline could feel the vibrations from the attack but she did not stop chanting her incantation.

The surrounding temperature was already quite low due to the four ice sculptures on its side, but it did not stop the sweat that started to flow profusely and wet its forehead.

He had already seen Aura's abilities and realized he was unlucky in a long-term fight, so he chose to end this fight with his current strongest magic.

The spectators around them could feel the rising tension in the middle of the arena that was beginning to be covered in that thick dust.

Almost all of the new disciples had already fled from around the arena for fear of being exposed to the magic of the two girls above the arena.

Beside the arena were only two young men with their Beasts left, not taking their eyes off the fight.

“The body freezes, the soul freezes, the world freezes.” the sound of whispers slowly comes out from within that thick fog of dust.

Strong waves spread following every word that came out from the blue haired girl's mouth, starting to lower the temperature in that stadium drastically. The crowd's breathing throughout the stadium came out as a white vapor, signifying that the cold feeling was completely real.

Some of the spectators had even started to shiver in the cold.

Amidst the dust fog Adeline opened her eyes and a bright blue light emanated from those eyes, along with a stick in her grasp that began to be covered by a layer of dark blue ice.

With a single powerful swing, the tip of the stick hit the arena floor and spread out one wave of its strongest Mana.

That high-level magic late on showed his strength.

Everyone in the stadium could see the Arena was starting to turn deep blue, with Adeline as the centerpiece.

The Stone Arena froze in the blink of an eye, followed by temperatures throughout the stadium that instantly fell below freezing point.

Now that all the spectators inside the stadium were beginning to shiver in the cold, even the other students outside the stadium could feel the temperature change in the academy.

A drop of sweat flowed and fell from Adeline's face, which turned to ice before touching the dark blue ice floor below.

Almost all of the Mana within his body was already drained to use his strongest magic, which was the first magic passed down by his father.

“Hah..” Adeline let out a long sigh and released her grasp from her walking stick that was already standing frozen together with the stone arena.

Stagnant World is not attack magic, but rather magic to change the fighting area to benefit the wearer.

The main effect was to forcefully convert the Mana in the area into Ice Elemental Mana, freezing everything that touched the ice on the ground surface was an additional effect.

Adeline started to sigh in relief again, considering that this magic can only be held back by a pure ice Magic User or at least a level three Ice Element Beast.

He had already estimated with his current strength, this magic could stop Rank A Beasts for a few minutes.

The only thing that should not exist in that frozen world could be felt by him, forcing him to raise his face and look at his opponent's condition.

What he discovered after the surrounding frozen dust fog subsided was his Ice Golem kneeling in the middle of the arena surrounded by seven white fireballs, with a white fire vortex covering its entire head.

The spectators at the stadium were also shocked by the sight, just a whirlpool of white flames in the middle of the dark blue ice world.

Outside the frozen arena was seen Roland who emitted flashes of lightning from all over his body and Leinn was seen just sitting while smiling widely surrounded by a wall of green wind.

“Hah!”

With that suddenly audible feminine voice, the whirlpool of fire started to widen and showed the pink-haired girl inside, who stood on the partially melted ice with the little wolf beside him.

This was the misunderstanding most of the people who knew the strangeness of the Aura fire, they did not realize that the white flame was still a fire.

Amidst that frozen world, the white flames of Aura still retained its warmth and did not allow the bone-chilling chill to reach her or Rufus.

Using a small blow of attacks to cover his opponent's sight, successfully guessing the magic his opponent was going to use, stood on top of the Ice Golem that could not move to avoid the magic's direct effects, thus, then use a portion of that white fireball to cast a high-level magic in a short period of time to withstand the effects left over from that huge attack.

Adeline looked at Aura who was still standing quite healthily there after successfully dodging her attack perfectly and could not help the small smile that appeared on her face, seeing this was the first time he had met a Magic User with such an ability in the same generation.

“Hahaha..”.

He looked at the four ice golems on his side that had already stopped moving after running out of Mana, then at his opponent who was coming towards him with his Beast mount.

Aura did not plan on letting his opponent recover power and instantly prepared to give an ultimate attack.

He jumped on Rufus' back which had grown.

“Grrr..”.

Rufus started running while lowering his head, intending to bump into the blue-haired girl with all her weight.

Adeline looked at the big wolf once more, but this time she did not move as it was running out of steam.

And in those last seconds...

Crash it!

The loud clashing sound could be heard clearly, but not from Rufus' head hitting Adeline.

The huge wolf used all of its body muscles to change the direction of its run and managed to dodge the chunks of ice that had suddenly fallen from the sky.

Aura who did not take her eyes off her opponent realized that Adeline had not managed to recover her Mana and would not be able to bring up this chunk of ice without any magic circle.

The aura that was already spreading its concentration managed to sense the Mana movement in the air and managed to find the perpetrator from the attack.

Rufus jumped up and managed to dodge the chunk of ice that fell towards him again and they managed to find him, a ball of blue light in the middle of the arena.

“Huh..?”

The ball of light began to move quickly and stopped between the two of them and Adeline, looking to protect her.

Aura began to concentrate and discovered it was not an ordinary ball of light, but rather something with the shape of a small winged human.

With a height of no more than 20 centimeters, long hair of the same color as her simple blue dress, and a pair of wings on her back that looked radiant as she floated in the air.

Aura regained her senses and showed a surprised expression, she recognized the creature before her.

“Ice Spirt Beast that is already approaching humans?!”
