Humanity Return
Ch. 137 – Cleaning Mission

The field with grass that has a height of more than one meter stretches along the view of seeing, along with the afternoon sun that makes this place a good hiding place.

A four-meter-long white gorilla was seen running with all his might while following the direction of the transparent wisp stuck to his shoulders, shaking the ground around him with every stomp of his feet and fists.

“Kyuu!”

Clear's transparent tentacles suddenly pointed in different directions and made Basalt change his running direction as well.

“Hoh!”

And there, Basalt found a man with a red headband could be seen hiding among the tall grass.

He was completely motionless and united with nature, until when he realized the vibrations on the ground were becoming increasingly stronger at an unreasonable speed.

“Hiiih..?!”

The man immediately got up and started running at an unusual speed, but it was still not enough to run away from the clump of muscle that had already locked onto his location.

“Hoooh..!”

“Kyuu!”

“Gyaa..!”

...

“Wow?!”

A stone as big as an apple suddenly slid off the ground and passed where Leinn had stood before, slightly surprising him.

Leinn began to look around and found no presence among the tall trees in front of him.

“Do not daydream!”

Adeline placed her palm on the ground and drained her Mana vigorously, discovering some magic reactions on the path they were about to take. He then looked back and showed his serious expression.

“Take a distance from the black-haired youth, and don't get out of your ranks”

“Y-yes!”

Adeline looked back to the front and found Leinn, who had taken out a blue mist from her eyes, then took a few steps back with the group of ten people who had made a neat row.

“Can you see it?”

“Yup”

Leinn lowered his head and picked up a few stone pebbles on the ground, then directly swung his hand and threw four stones at once.

Whoong - Bham Thud Boom...!

Water bullets, wind blades, and fire explosions were instantly triggered...

“Hup”

Bang out!

Together with a flying eye that suddenly appears in the path of Leinn's punch, which seems to come out of one of those magic circles and serves to follow the intruder that triggered it secretly.

“Eh..”

Leinn started wiping the blood stuck to his fist a few times before looking back.

“Ayo”

“Un, they did not manage to find us”

A blue ball of light suddenly emerged from the deeper part of the forest and landed on Adeline's shoulders.

Leinn looked behind the group for a moment before nodding his head, then starting to walk again followed by the eleven people behind him to get out of the forest.

...

“...”

“Kyuu?”

Time just goes by peacefully...

“Hm”

“Kyuu!”

Until a huge shadow appeared and expanded rapidly under their boat.

...

“Hahaha..!”

“Young phone..!”

Three large trains can be seen sliding down one of the long dirt roads, linked to each other. Some people could be seen holding on and trying not to fall off their train, with the one in the most luxurious dress being seen screaming with all their might in the front seat of the train.

The target of that scream? None other than the white-haired girl who was running while pulling her three large carriages.

“Psssht?”

“...”

Sliding no less quickly beside the three carriages was a giant snake that was carrying two Horse Beasts that were already pecking on its back.

Krprm...!

“Nona...! Stop...!”

“Hahaha!”

Strange sounds could be heard from the wheels of the carriage, the carriage that had been made to hold several tons of goods without any problems and could withstand even the strongest attacks from Rank C Beasts.

The man who was hugging the side of his carriage began to shed tears of regret, realizing he would no longer offer anyone ‘driving’ his carriage, no matter how bored he looked.

“Haha..!”

....

Some things were being the talk of the students and even the teachers of Red Dawn Academy, such as the preparation of the last stage in the current Large-Scale Mission, right now, or the commotion caused by two new disciples who had surrounded dozens of others and ended up winning.

But the one thing that was most talked about in the entire academy, even the entire Blazing Sun city, was the LAHAR Party.

Cleansing Rank C and Rank B missions at a very unreasonable speed, seeing them be able to complete several missions at once and move directly to the next few missions.

That speed could be achieved by a group of five people alone was thanks to Aura, who used her ability to choose the mission that was most suitable for them. This added the ability of each of them to be very high and specified, making them capable of completing almost any type of mission.

Leinn who had high detection and speed abilities, completed a quest mission or something that required noiseless movement and high sharpness. His high fighting ability also allowed him to carry out ordinary Beast-hunting missions.

Roland also had high speed and destructive power, allowing him to complete missions that required those two things very efficiently. His lightning power was also the most efficient in large-scale Beast-hunting missions.

Aura and Adeline who have high Magic Theory abilities become capable of completing several missions that revolve around magic circle repair or increasing the power of the magic circle, something that the other three cannot do.

Adeline's large-scale controlled attacks and Aura's healing abilities are also very useful in some Rank B missions, let them complete the mission without any casualties from the village or town sending the mission.

And the last one was Hinata, who unexpectedly asked Aura not to give him a hunting mission, and also did not want to do the mission alone. This ends with Hinata often accompanying the other four as they go on simple missions, or missions that will not fail if she accidentally expels her power.

Eventually Hinata finds the mission of keeping the merchant entourage as the most interesting, as it lets her run free while completing the mission. So behind him more often do this while accompanied by Twig.

His name became quite famous among the merchants in the town of Blazing Sun, seeing a two-day trip or so could easily be half a day if he did it. Of course only a small percentage of those merchants dared to make that trip more than once.

Then their Contracted Beasts also wanted to try doing missions alone and finally, their team cleared those missions until without any residue...

“Again..?”

Aura looked at the mission board that had already shown some more dark orange-colored sheets, which had not existed the day before. He then turned his head towards a girl who was putting up a few more sheets on the board while showing a worried expression as well.

The girl, Isla put up the final mission paper before returning to face Aura who was staring at her.

“Ya.. it looks like a Large-Scale Mission encountered a problem”.
