Ch. 32 – First Test Result

A familiar voice could be heard from inside the tent, allowing Leinn and Aura to enter inside.

Leinn immediately stepped into the tent without further ado, followed by Aura and the two Beasts behind them.

“Kyuu..”.

Clear shook above Leinn's large bag after seeing the tent's interior, a fur floor with bookshelves lined up on either side of the wall. He did not understand the value of all those things but somehow he continued to feel happy every time he saw new places like this room.

At the other end of the room, unlike in a tent, was a man sitting behind a large table, who was standing next to him smiling at them.

Aura was stunned to see this strange situation.

“This tent... Runed Gear?”

They continued walking and stopped in front of the large table.

Now they could clearly see the face of the man, the same person as the teacher who had appeared from the sky and explained the first test to them.

He only smiled, with his eyes behind his long hair was judging the two people in front of him.

“I didn't expect we would get two new Beast Trainers with Rank B+ Beast on the same day” he said with great pleasure, “My name is Isaac Sterling, the teacher responsible for overseeing the test of your group”

Hearing this Aura turned her head towards Leinn and saw her scratching the back of her head.

“The two of you are the only ones who managed to make a Contract with Rank B Beast at this time, so congratulations....what's the matter?”.

Noticing the expression of the young man in front of him growing increasingly awkward, made Isaac show a puzzled expression.

Aura began to explain the situation that had happened to Leinn, seeing that the young man did not understand enough to explain the peculiarity of his own condition.

Upon hearing that, Isaac looked at Leinn in front of him with a surprised expression.

“Young people with abilities like you are not much, your strange condition is very unfortunate” he said while shaking his head.

“Kyuu?”

Isaac could only smile stiffly looking at Coreless Slime in Leinn's head and the Gorilla Beast behind him. He leaned back into his chair and thought for a moment, starting to consider something.

Bart beside him also looked surprised because he also thought the Gorilla Beast was his Contracted Beast.

Aura realized that it was starting to not look good.

“L-leinn..”

“...”

The aura looked uneasy while Leinn made no comment.

Isaac finally put his hands back on the table and looked at Leinn.

“Are you sure you can control that Gorilla Beast without Contract?”

“Ya”

Leinn replied without hesitation, like merely passing on an ordinary fact.

And hearing that answer, Isaac smiled slightly.

He looked at Coreless Slime in Leinn's head once more, then pulled out two papers from his desk drawer. A light blue mana began to flow from his finger onto the paper and with one swift movement, he threw the two papers at Leinn and Aura.

“A-a!”

Aura caught the paper with her face and Leinn clamped the paper between her two fingers.

They looked at the paper and realized their data was written there, with a large red [OK] sign next to their photo.

Leinn gave a small smile seeing this, while Aura was seen examining the paper a few times.

“Y-YAAAAY!”

Everyone and the Beast were there jumping in shock.

The owl behind Isaac also gasped to wake up from his sleep.

Realizing what she had just done, Aura hid her face that was beginning to blush with the paper in her hand.

“E-hem. Now you just need to wait-“

“Professor Isaac!”

A shout mentioning his name interrupted his words and shocked them.

Aura turned to look at the source of the voice and found a young man in a watchtower passing through that door and started walking quickly towards them.

Her sour expression could be clearly seen and only grew thick when she found Leinn who did not even turn her body around.

He was Mint Baccus, the first chief test supervisor.

“Professor Isaac!”

Mint continued to step on her feet, keeping her distance from the two large Beasts in the room and finally getting to the front of Isaac.

Looking at the new young man in front of him, the smile on Professor Isaac's face was still not lost.

“What's up, Supervisory Chairman of Mint?”

“I heard Aura Flameheart has come out from within the forest and brought two Rank B Beasts with her”

Isaac raised one of his eyebrows upon hearing that.

“Then? Do you have a problem with that?”

“Of course not..”

Mint showed a smile as she looked at Aura, who was gone when her gaze turned to Leinn who had already closed half her eyes, holding back the drowsiness.

“I have a problem with... Him!”

Mint pointed at Leinn's face which stood only three meters away from her, which eventually made Leinn look at her face with a bored look, which only increased her sense of regret.

Isaac leaned back in his chair with a curious expression.

“You have a problem with Student Leinn?”

“Yes! I'm sure he-“

Mint realized the meaning of Professor Isaac's words, Mint's tone became higher.

“He can definitely only make Contracts with Rank B Beasts with the help of Aura Flameheart! I can't believe a delinquent who doesn't have a clear origin can-!“

“Mint” Supervisors

A firm tone shot out from Isaac's mouth, stopping Mint who was already on the verge of shouting while pointing at Leinn's face.

Mint lowered her hand after noticing Isaac's change in tone, but it wasn't enough to stop him.

“...reliability is not clear its origin is unlikely to be suitable as our Akemi students. Please think about your decision once again Professor!”

Isaac just sat quietly and did not give any answers to her.

Aura seemed to be unable to accept this and wanted to give a rebuttal, which came to a halt as she saw Leinn shake her head at him with a smile on her face.

Mint took a strong breath to continue, then realized Leinn was only smiling after hearing it.

“What's funny-“

“Supervisor Mint..”

Isaac's expression this time managed to show his feelings. He was at a loss to begin explaining from where, seeing that there were some parts that were not even true at all.

Bart who stood beside her and looked slightly quivering, maintained his serious expression.

Of course Mint finally realized that strange atmosphere.

“First, you don't have any authority to change the decisions I've made”

Hearing this, Mint looked even more upset. Before he could give his reply, Isaac had already continued.

“Secondly, Student Leinn did not make a Contract with Rank B Beast behind him. Gorilla Beast is not a Contracted Beast anyone”

This time his expression turned confused, after a while he realized the Rank B Beast behind him was a wild Beast. He jumped back to Bart's side and grabbed his weapon.

“K-you! How dare you bring wild Beasts into this camp!”

Bart jumps between Leinn and Mint, standing with his hands on two axes at his waist.

“Bart! How dare you-“

Before the situation could get any more dangerous, the light green Mana was seen spinning in the room violently. A sharp wind suddenly blew past Mint's face, cutting off some of her front hair.

Seeing this, he could only calm his emotions and release his grasp from the sword hilt on his waist.

Simultaneously the atmosphere in the room calmed down and the scattered light green Mana was sucked into the palm of Isaac's right hand that was still leaning against the table.

“Heh..”.

Leinn looked interested to see the green ball that formed in Isaac's hand.

“Three, Student Leinn had already successfully completed the first test with Contracted Beast Rank E, Coreless Slime on his head it” With a single grasp of his hand, the green ball instantly vanished.

That statement left Mint most shocked today.

“A-“

“Whatever you say, I won't change my decision. If you just want to accuse Student Leinn without any more evidence, I suggest you return to your position”

Opening his mouth without being able to find any words, he could only close it back and start walking away with an annoyed expression. Passing through Bart who was looking at him with a cold expression, then passed Leinn who was already indifferent to it again.

“...this is not finished..”

With that parting sentence, Mint disappeared from the room.

Bart also returned to his previous standing position.

“You just need to wait until this first test is finished”

Isaac smiled back at Leinn and Aura.

“One more time, happy”
