Ch. 45 – Blazing Sun City

The sun reached the top of the sky, nearing the end of the test period.

But what most would-be students who managed to make the Contract were thinking was not that test, but a young man.

The most outstanding young man in this first test, along with his battle performances of the past two days and the rumors about the things he was doing inside the forest made him the main talking point.

“Zzz..”

“Leinn..”.

The young man being talked about was now lying on the grass, asleep.

Aura was also seen sitting beside him with an awkward expression looking at the attention that was fixed on them and Leinn who was just sleeping without the slightest care.

The two large Beasts behind them were also extremely prominent.

Rufus was lying next to Aura in his original size, and also Basalt was already shrinking who had been doing push-ups nonstop for almost an hour.

Professor Isaac began to look at everyone around him and smiled, then the magic circle started to spin from the ring in his left hand and turned into a long wooden stick.

The huge owl in the air began to shrink and landed on the stick, then closed its big eyes.

“40 out of 53 prospective students managed to make Contract, good amount!”

His gaze stopped for a moment when he saw the young man who was still asleep on the grass, then on the girl sitting next to him who seemed to be trying to wake him up.

The Wolf Beast behind him was also seen lying bored beside the Gorilla Beast showing an excited expression, delighted to see a strong-looking person appear in front of him.

Isaac pretended not to see that and returned his attention to the rest of the people in the field.

“With this, your first steps to becoming a power of mankind are done. For those who have not succeeded, try again next year.”

His gaze was fixed on the group standing while bowing their faces, all of which failed to make a Contract.

“Or just give up”

The people there were so shocked after hearing that, they also raised their faces and looked at Professor Isaac with a look of disbelief.

Isaac only shrugged his shoulders when he received that look.

“If you do not have enough ability to complete a small step like this, you will only waste your life later”

His eyes turned firm.

In front of him were the 40 people who had successfully completed the first test that followed him walking up to the entrance gate of Blazing Sun city, left the camp that was being dismantled and parted with the group of 13 unsuccessful people.

A neat stone walkway with tall and large buildings on either side can be seen all along the view.

It seemed like the entire city already knew the second group of new disciples reception was over and was looking for an opportunity to see them.

Not a few people uttered praise as the group passed them.

Walking past it all, they finally arrived in front of a large long carriage.

The Mana Train was a public vehicle that the residents of the city used to move within the city quickly, with a length capable of accommodating more than 200 people easily and a special carriage behind it capable of carrying Beasts the size of Basalt and Rufus.

They also realized there were no other passengers on the train.
