Ch. 140 – Stone Aisles
Mountain Crawler was a dangerous Beast, it was something undeniable among the Hunters in the entire Gaiafell continent. But one thing that made Leinn feel a little strange was when Aura explained that this Worm Beast was a very territorial Beast.
This meant, there would be no more than two or three Mountain Crawlers within a single rock mountain. They would also attack each other if they accidentally met, making the current state of affairs very special.
That was caused by one thing alone, because there was one Mountain Crawler that would break through the barrier wall and jump into Rank A Beast. No one knows what the reason is, but this is the result of research on the way of life of the Mountain Crawler, which will gather and begin to breed at high speed around that one Mountain Crawler.
Mountain Crawlers that will reach Rank A usually choose one new rock mountain to be their nest and will draw up several tens of other adult Mountain Crawlers with it.

They had been walking for thirty minutes and had even occasionally come across sections of the mine with good illumination, but their target was still nowhere to be seen at all.
The hallways he walked also had different sizes, with the smallest only requiring him to stretch out his hands to touch the walls on either side.
Leinn could see many existences around him but they all had roughly equal strength, not showing a single Mountain Crawler that should be at the Peak Rank B level.

Leinn recalled one last sentence Aura said before they set off, which she delivered with great difficulty.

Whatever happens, he should be able to finish off that one Mountain Crawler.

Leinn felt the area around him become brighter and of course, he got to an area that was quite open. Some Mana Lights can be seen still flickering, illuminating the part of the mine that is more than ten meters high with a width of thirty meters in front of it.
It seems like this is one of the parts where the mine collects, seeing that there are five large Mountain Crawlers fighting over what is left here.

The five Worm Beasts who finally realized the existence of the newcomer instantly became alert and moved swiftly on the stone walls around them. The small legs that were already covered in sharp rocks moved and became hooks that let them move on the stone wall like on flat ground.
They could feel the tiny extraordinary vibrations from the bodies of the two new creatures with their entire bodies. This is the way Mountain Crawler knows the position of its prey without having any sense of sight or hearing.

Rufus who had just exited the narrow passage behind him instantly returned to his original size and took a low position, ready to pounce on anything that dared to approach him.
Leinn beside him looked at the five Beasts and instantly knew the five of them had the strength of an Intermediate Rank B. Beating the five of them was not a difficult matter, but their current location was extremely disadvantageous.
Leinn and Rufus did not have the ability to swim inside the hard rock, so if one of the five Beasts were to escape from feeling desperate and call for help, one of the five Beasts could not help, they would only be able to escape as well.

The sparks of flames illuminated the area around a flash followed by the loud impacting sound that resulted from the impact of the huge stone body with the surface of the cave rock.

Leinn rotated in the air once and landed his foot, while sheathing back his sword and finding four holes full of fangs were staring back at him. The fangs suddenly started spinning rapidly like the mesings of a meat grinder.

As if to think of it as a trigger, the four Mountain Crawlers instantly wriggled swiftly towards him, intending to tear him apart just like that. But they all forget one other thing.
“Grrr...!”
Leinn lowered his horses while clasping his sword algae tightly, with his gaze inseparable from the huge wolf staring back at him as well.
Without warning, the two of them moved simultaneously, with Leinn eyeing one Mountain Crawler that was about to reach it and Rufus pouncing on the one that was most left behind.

Leinn's sideways sword slash hit the side of Mountain Crawler's mouth that was about to reach it and only scraped a bit of rock on its outside while producing yet another spark, without stopping it.
Thinking the human in front of him had failed to stop him, the Mountain Crawler immediately pushed its mouth using its entire body weight, not seeing Leinn who was already on its back.
In that awkward position, Leinn stuffed all of the Mana he had gathered in that instant into his sword and with a single powerful pull, he,

A full circle-shaped energy emerged and spread out from the round of Leinn's entire body, cutting off the mouth of the huge Beast in front of him and repelling the two that had almost reached him as well.
Booms!
The entire top head and front of the Mountain Crawler fell together with its massive body, not moving anymore.
Leinn did not waste the opportunity and directly hit the large body surface in front of him with his sword sheath, pushing his body towards the next target.
“Clear Sky Style”
His body started to swirl in the air a few times and only showed the blue light lines formed from his sword that were already shining brightly.

One powerful jolt and a huge sword wave came out and struck one of the two Mountain Crawlers, pushing its giant body from the ground towards the stone wall behind it.
Booms!
Strong tremors arose along with a huge explosion that broke the Beast's entire body armor, which was enough to uproot his life as well.
The Mountain Crawler that was still standing on one side sensed the three that had just attacked it had already stopped moving, making his mind still limited though knowing that fighting with the creatures in front of him would only end badly.

So he planned to escape by using the one Mountain Crawler that was behind him, before noticing the vibration that had just felt not far behind him it was very different from the vibration that a large stone body like his should have produced.
“Grrr..”.
And of course, on top of the body of an already motionless Mountain Crawler was a gigantic white wolf with a stone splinter in its mouth.
