Humanity Return
Ch. 52 – Junior Tournament, Started!

Time passes quickly.

All the disciples with Rank C Beasts started to prepare themselves whereas the disciples with Rank B Beasts had already left that stadium, seeing that they would not fight today.

The spectators who were still waiting for the start of the tournament in front of them started talking to each other with their main topic being none other than the group of four people beside the arena.

“...and therefore I always bring backup food wherever”

Four people, sitting opposite each other at a long white table, with the black-haired youth just finishing his story.

Leinn returned the glass box containing her food pills to her pocket, making Aura beside her stroke the pouch of her clothes with the glass box she had received earlier.

Roland who was sitting opposite him was seen nodding his head after hearing that while looking at the glass box in his hand, which was identical to the one Leinn had just put in his pocket.

“...”

Adeline, sitting next to Roland, is seen trying to ignore Leinn's storytelling and concentrate on the crystal ball in front of her, but can be seen reacting at some interesting moments in the story.

“So, are you satisfied to see Clear?”

Leinn suddenly turned his eyes to the blue haired girl.

Adeline reacted slightly when she heard that, but did not answer.

Aura and Roland just looked at the two of them, seeing Leinn fail to start a conversation with Adeline for the umpteenth time.

“Halooo?”

Four people were sitting casually with food in front of them, a little wolf lying down sleeping, a snake that was shaking its body like dancing, and a gorilla that was doing push-ups, he said, an unusual sight.

“Nona Adeline~?”

“L-leinn..”

Aura cut Leinn's efforts by directing his attention to the large glass screen above the arena near them. Leinn turned his head and looked at the countdown that had been less than 3 minutes.

“Welp, looks like I didn't make it this time”

Leinn jumped to his feet while turning the chair he was sitting on. Rune rays began to appear and the chair turned into a small box in his palm. He passed the small box to the young man in front of him who was doing the same thing.

Adeline and Aura stood up normally and did the same and returned the two boxes to Roland.

“Haha, your taste has not changed” said Leinn casually.

Leinn began to eat the last loaf of bread he had taken from the table in front of him and the table was turned into the same small box.

Roland stuffed all the objects in his hand into the ring on his right index finger, leaving behind a glass box filled with food pills in his hand. He turned to the black-haired young man in front of him who was swallowing the last piece of bread of his.

“Your habits also haven't changed” reply Roland.

He put the glass box inside his shirt pocket and looked at the man in front of him.

It seemed like the previous fight had yet to satisfy their fighting intent, considering it ended in disappointment.

Adeline who was beside him stopped that by throwing Clear at Leinn.

The conversation between the two of them after not meeting for three years ended there, precisely Leinn who told the story and Roland who just sat and listened to it, just to hear it, with Aura immersed in the story and Adeline being seen realizing something in the middle of one of those stories.

“Hahaha, see you again Miss Aimer”

“Hmph!”

Adeline turned around and stepped away leaving them and stopped for a while when she realized Roland was still standing there.

A small smile could be seen on his face.

“I'll be waiting for you at the end”

Aura saw the two young men banging their fists, then Roland who turned around and stepped away followed Adeline.

Leinn looked at Roland's back with a wide smile on his face, looking excited. He suddenly found the girl beside Roland had already turned around and looked at him with an angry expression.

“I won't lose to you!”

“Huh?”

Adeline turned around again and stepped hard after saying that, greatly confusing Leinn.

The snake near her suddenly stopped dancing and looked at Roland's increasingly distant body.

“Psssht!”

Twig immediately slid to Roland's side, then turned around and waved her tail at Leinn.

His four-meter body leaped onto Roland who caught him and continued walking undisturbed.

“Haha, she looks happy”

“Leinn..”.

Leinn turned his head and looked at Aura who was standing in front of him and looked extremely nervous.

“A-are you going to b-well?”

“Tenlah”

Leinn called for Basalt, who had just finished his training, and then touched the shoulder of the nervous girl in front of him.

“It's okay” he said once again in a serious tone.

Aura just nodded and started to turn around and walk away with Rufus, with Basalt also running after the two of them.

“...”

Leinn was now just standing there with Clear in his hand, without any expression on his face

His calmness was very different from the feelings of those around him.

Exactly 100 more people will fight on that day.

“Good..”.

A feeling of nervousness, even fear had already crept on their bodies for that one hour. Without them realizing they had gathered on the other side of the arena where Leinn was standing, trying to get as far away from him as possible.

They saw the young man standing alone there, someone who had just fought on balance with a genius who was believed to be number one in their generation this year.

“Now..”.

Monsters who are in the same group, who will fight against them.

Of course their fear did not change the countdown on the light screen in front of them which was less than five seconds.

The excited spectator saw the close of the start of the tournament, the teachers who began to talk about that overachieving young man.

And Leinn, who was standing with a big smile on her face.

“Come we start.”
