The two young men just sat there touching their own shoulders.
Leinn smiled at them then returned his attention to Kurt.
“Then? What else?”
Kurt continued his story.
After they were reunited, Kurt finally returned to his supervisory position and the four of them went back around the forest looking for Beasts and finally found the group of Raccoon Beasts. Looking at the already dark sky, they planned to return to the camp the next morning.
In their conversation that night, they get the idea to return to the Giant Tarantula nest, precisely in the main nest to find eggs that have not yet hatched.
“Huh”
Leinn realized the five of them were carrying a cloth on their shoulders that bound something round.
Kurt continued, the next morning the four of them called the supervisor who happened to be still himself. They explain their plan and seeing the potential treasure within the nest, Kurt finally accompanies them.
He sent Gnome to check the situation and found the place already empty, it seemed like almost all of the Giant Tarantulas had already been killed in the previous day.
“So we walked into the nest just like that and found this”
Kurt removed the cloth bag on his shoulder and exposed its contents, a medium-sized round white egg.
The four teenagers behind him also showed the contents of their sac, four smaller eggs.
The egg on Kurt's hand was at least 30 centimeters in diameter, the other four were only 12 centimeters in diameter.
“It seems that the Giant Tarantula group has reached their maximum number. The broodmother simply took out the eggs of the elite guard and his successor just”
They found only five eggs in the deepest part of the nest, none other than the Giant Tarantula Broodmother egg and four Elite Giant Tarantula eggs.
Knowing how valuable the egg was, the four teenagers immediately handed the Gaint Tarantula Broodmother's egg to Supervisor Kurt.
Kurt only accepted the gift with a smile and they started walking out of the forest.
“I-ini!”
Along with the finished story, the four of them held out the four eggs to Leinn.
He only saw the four eggs in front of him for a moment then looked back at them.
“I never eat spider” eggs
The outstretched hand looked a little shaky.
Kurt walked to his side and explained the value of the egg.
“This is the egg of the Elite Giant Tarantula, a Beast that definitely reached Rank B without the help of any precious materials! You're the first person I've met who wants to eat an egg this valuable!”
It turns out like that. If Leinn received those four eggs, he could contract with 4 Elite Giant Tarantula babies and not long after that he would have 4 Rank B Beasts as his Contracted Beast.
Understanding this, he began to nod his head.
“I refuse”
“Eh?!”
Leinn frowned.
Seeing that expression, the four of them pulled back their hands quickly.
“You got a chance to be strong, don't waste it just”
“T-but..”.
Leinn sighed after seeing the dissatisfied expressions on the faces of the four of them.
“Be stronger. Strong enough to help me when I need you guys”
Leinn turned around and walked back to his tent with Basalt.
“See you later Kurt”
“O-oke!”
The four of them stared at the egg in their hands, a chance to become strong. As they lifted their faces and saw the back of the young man of their age who looked so big growing farther away, the desire to get stronger had lit up in their eyes.
Kurt realized what Leinn had done and smiled. It seemed like his plan to give Broodmother eggs to her would not work either.
“Huh?”
His smile was gone when he realized the purpose of Leinn's step, two tents in the middle of the meadow. He knew the identity of the tent, Runed Gear which was supposed to be a gift for prospective students who managed to make a Contract with Rank B Beasts.
And he saw two tents standing there, making him recall about the Flameheart Aura.
“M-they both, two Rank B Beasts..?”
...
Time passed quickly and it was finally midnight. Leinn had just finished his training and Basalt was seen doing push-ups not far from him.
Leinn had taught him how to practice like that and Basalt had already passed the 10,000 push-ups without looking tired.
“Hm..”
The blowing night wind shook the leaves in the dark forest, filling the silence with the sound of leaf friction.
Leinn sheathed his sword back and looked towards the forest, then called out to Basalt who was still doing push-ups nearby.
The little gorilla walked in front of him.
“Please keep watch for a moment. I have business”
“Hoh!”
Basalt nodded strongly and immediately sat down on the grass and began to pay attention to the surrounding area, with his body starting to enlarge again. At that very instant, Clear appeared and landed on his head.
After confirming the state of the two Beasts who were guarding seriously, Leinn turned around and walked towards the dark forest.
He continued walking leisurely and looking at the distance that was not close between the tent and the forest, enough time had already passed by when Leinn reached his destination.
“Until when do you want to hide?” He stopped 10 meters from one of the tall trees in the outermost part of the forest.
After a moment of silence, one shadow leaped down and landed in front of him.
The young man with the mask and robe that hid his entire body stood there. He looked at Leinn with a sharp gaze, not missing a single small gesture from her. After a while of doing that, he started talking.
“...What is your goal of approaching Flameheart Aura?” a male voice came out from behind the mask, sounding extremely cold.
“What is your goal to follow it?” Leinn answered with another question.
The robed man fell silent again after hearing the question, his green dragonfly necklace looking shiny in the moonlight.
Leinn had already noticed the robed young man in front of him had been paying attention to Aura since before this test started.
“...I received your message..” he said as he pulled out a piece of shabby paper.
“Oh that? I lied”
The eyes behind the mask were wide open hearing the confession, he did not expect this man to be so shameless. He saw a shabby paper on his right hand that read an obvious threat.
Leinn stared at the young man in front of him for a while, then a smile appeared on his face.
“Seeing you don't dare to approach, aren't you someone who wants the Flameheart Aura in danger?”
“...”
Leinn had already seen this situation for several days. He could feel this man in front of him had already distracted his attention from Aura on him.
“Did Blaze Flameheart send you?”
“...”
The man didn't answer the question, just stared there.
But it looks pretty much by Leinn. He chuckled as he looked at the mask of the man with his smile.
“Then we have no problem”
Since the beginning of the appearance of the masked young man, Leinn had been in a relaxed standing position. It seemed like he believed the fight would not happen and did not take the slightest standby position.
That caused the tension between them to be not too high. Till...
“Are you not going to introduce it?” Leinn pointed towards the foreign youth's feet.
“...!”
He immediately jumped back and took cover into the forest, lost from sight. He had not expected the black-haired young man to be able to realize the existence of his Contracted Beast.
From within his shadow began to appear a thick hairy head, the head of a black dog. He should have been perfectly hidden within his shadow.
“Hey~”
Leinn started walking into the forest while waving his hand at the masked man's hideout.
The masked man was already preparing to attack him until all of a sudden, he felt a change in the atmosphere around him. A great pressure and dense killing intent filled the area.
Leinn had already lost his smile when he turned to his tent and immediately turned his back, and ran back there with all his might.
Booms!
A cold expression could be seen at a glance on his face before he had already become extremely small in the distance.
The masked man just stood there with a black knife in his hand with mixed feelings. He could not understand the contents of the black-haired young man's head.
