Humanity Return
Ch. 81 – Leinn Springleaf

The short answer made the green-haired young man even more confused, seeing that it did not explain anything.

“Interesting...?”

“Yap”

Leinn turned his head towards the podium beside the arena, where a red-haired girl sat among a young man and another girl with various types of Beasts around.

“Meet with new guy pull”

The back of the little girl who looked very lonely in the middle of the crowded meadow.

“Creating a new bond it attracts”

The girl's eyes were shining every time she heard the story.

“Having someone waiting for you is pulling”

The girl's expression when she saw him back after successfully saving those people.

“...”

Tenma looked at the expression of the young man in front of her and became speechless, as she could not understand that very different way of life from her.

Leinn returned his attention to Tenma in front of him and smiled.

This conversation made him remember other things as well, various old memories.

“Fight together it pulls”

The fight against the powerful Beasts that threatened the city.

“New place it attracts”

The building and vehicle he first saw.

“Feeling awaits reunion it attracts”

Farewell and promise between the three of them.

Leinn closed his eyes and drowned in that nostalgic feeling.

Tenma also started to feel that different atmosphere and was a little surprised. His body began to be surrounded by a sense of warmth.

“Quarrels about a small thing it attracts”

The chocolate cake she ate secretly.

“An unexpected thing it attracts”

Their first victory against the creature.

Both of his eyes opened again and a small meaningful smile was seen on his face.

“The voice that saved you..”

“Those who helped you..”

Leinn stopped talking for a while and was pensive, until he finally raised his right hand.

“That alone... don't pull”.

Memories of that day....

Snaps!

And he plucked his finger.

Whoong!

The strange sound appeared and Tenma realized the sounds from the surrounding audience were coming back.

He only realized that he had only heard Leinn's voice during that time without any other sound interference.

“Silence Dome..?”

“Yes, I don't want them to hear this”

Leinn smiled awkwardly while scratching his head, and Slime who had already alighted in the large bag on his back was seen reacting after hearing that with a strong enough tremble.

Tenma looked at the expression of the young man in front of her then turned towards the podium outside the arena, seeing three people who showed different expressions sitting there.

He closed his eyes for a moment and looked back at his opponent.

“Why did you tell me all this?”

Leinn heard that and folded his hands, raising one of his eyebrows while looking at the green-haired young man.

“You already know the reason, don't you?”

“...alah”

Tenma looked at the knife in her right hand and saw her face reflected in the blade.

He still did not fully understand what the young man was saying, but he could sense something after hearing all that.

Tenma grasped both of his knives tightly and looked at the young man in front of him with a serious expression.

“I can make the illusion of my body come true and set its power according to the Mana I used to make it. With a sizeable Mana I can make a hemisphere with the same Status and fighting ability as me”

Tenma grabbed into her clothing pocket and pulled out two small black and green pills, which were directly inserted into her mouth.

“This is my Gift, [True False].!”.

Mana hjiau began to seep out of his body and his body muscles look unnaturally enlarged. His body suddenly split into two, then into four, eight, sixteen...

[Killing Curtain]

“““Prepare..”””.

Those who spoke at the same time looked extremely gripping, without the slightest difference between them all.

“Thirty-one illusions with identical breaths and heartbeats. Your Mana count is also exactly the same” Leinn looked around with a relaxed expression.

Tenma finally found out that his guess was right, it turned out that his opponent did have unusual eyesight.

That was also the reason he was able to find it while he was standing in an empty spot, and his technique this time had taken that into account and he could not possibly find his real body.

“Hahaha..”.

Attacks from all directions from 32 identical people simultaneously, would be very effective.

Leinn looked amazed after realizing his plan, as his attack technique that encompassed all directions took a while and they would not let him do that.

“Baik”

He placed his right hand on the hilt of his sword and all of the Tenma around him directly kicked the stone floor hard, leaping towards him.

Seeing herself in the middle of that dangerous situation, Leinn did not lose her smile.

He already had a solution to that problem, a Gift's biggest weakness belonging to Tenma.

“Clear Sky Style”

He only needed to attack his original body and all his illusions would disappear, although finding the real body among the 32 identical bodies was not something that ordinary humans could achieve.

But the young man is the furthest thing from ‘bia’.

[Moving Cloud]

The sword came out from its sheath and instantly swung out in a single smooth motion, issuing waves of slashes that hit the one Tenma that was right behind it and condensing it backwards.

All the remaining Tenma managed to swarm the young man with their knives, looking to successfully launch their attacks.

And the spectators at the stadium were shocked by the sight of Leinn smiling with dozens of knives that almost touched his entire body, which was only a few centimeters apart.

Then all of the Tenma around him started to turn into flakes of light that floated in the air.

“Oh yes, I will also tell you about my Gift”

Leinn sheathed back his sword while gazing towards Tenma who was lying on the stone floor, along with the increasing flakes of light in the surroundings.

He pointed at his eyes while smiling widely.

“I have good eyesight”

...

In the middle of the bodies that turned into light fragments stood Leinn who was not injured at all. He had managed to give an attack to Tenma's original body and obliterate all of his illusions.

“How did he find his real body?”

Adeline showed a curious expression after seeing Leinn successfully survive that final attack, as she was quite sure the illusion was already perfect after seeing the Mana seeping out of those 32 bodies.

But Leinn looked very confident, seeing that he only attacked one body, even though he had the opportunity to attack several bodies at once.

This was something he could only do if he could distinguish that identical fake and real body.

“...feeling”

The answer to his question came from the blonde youth sitting beside him, from Roland who was showing a flat expression while staring at the black-haired youth above the arena.

“Passion..?” adeline asked, not understanding what she was doing.

Roland looked over and looked at Adeline.

“That's her Gift. She can see ‘Taste’”

“Huh..?”

Adeline looks surprised after receiving the new information, things start to spin quickly in her head until she finally finds the answer.

“He attacked the only body that had... Feeling?”

Roland simply nodded his head, confirming his theory.

This is the first time Adeline has heard of Gift as abstract and become pensive.

Theories started to spin in his head.

“...”

The aura did not show any reaction after hearing that information. He simply placed his right hand on top of the small Clear on his lap and continued to stare at Leinn who was standing on top of the arena.

His expression was very calm.

And the young man above the arena finally pointed his own eyes.

“I have good eyesight”

Leinn began to step closer to Tenma's body after saying that.

Before he could walk close enough, he suddenly raised his right hand in front of him.

“Ruff?!”

His palm blocked the small shadow that suddenly appeared in front of him, a 50-centimeter-tall jet-black dog. The one now was leaping backwards after falling to the ground.

His eyes looked watery, feeling the pain in his new nose hitting Leinn's palm.
