Humanity Return
Ch. 12 – Rescue Team

Blaze Blade, a fire-calling magic-shaped weapon used to attack the wearer's enemy, an upper-middle-level magic.

The size and number of weapons that appear depends on the magic potential of the user and the shape of the weapon is influenced by the imagination of the user.

Ordinary novice Magic Users could summon three short swords at the same time and with vigorous practice, the number and size of weapons that appeared would also increase.

“Aaa..!” a loud scream came out from the mouth of the supervisor.

But the sword that emerged from this magic circle was far different from what this supervisor had seen in his entire life.

The aura with its strange condition used the Blaze Blade magic seriously and the result was five swords of white flames with a length of 2 meters by 30 centimeters wide.

No matter how you look at it, the sword of fire is too big to be called a sword.

Rather than swords, they were more akin to a wall of fire.

“Excuse me..” said Leinn as he dragged the two unconscious youths and put them next to the supervisor, then took a few steps back and hid behind a tree.

“HIAH!” aura shouted while swinging her staff, triggering the five great swords to float towards the supervisor.

“AAAAaaa..”

The five great swords fell together and pierced the body of the supervisor in front of him. The flames produced from the magic exploded and formed a 50-meter-high white fire tower.

The most shocking thing about this situation was that Leinn who was standing ten meters away from the pillar of fire only felt a hint of warmth.

The white flame pillar began to shrink after it ignited for five seconds, revealing the form of a supervisor who already had no wounds all over his body. A look of shock could be seen on his face.

“Hehe!” Aura smiled as she showed a V sign with her right finger.

Seeing that, Leinn retorted with her thumb.

She realized Aura was in a strange state because she saw her magic work as she wanted.

After a while, the supervisor regained consciousness from his state of shock and checked his body condition.

Other than his Mana that was still drained in the previous fight, his body had already become healthier than his initial condition.

The supervisor then went back to face Leinn and Aura.

“Thank you for saving and restoring my body” he bowed his head to the two of them.

“E-eh is okay, i-this is just a normal thing that we do with each other..” said Aura who realized from his strange circumstances.

“No need to think about” Leinn replied while waving her right hand, indicating it was no big deal for her.

Hearing Aura and Leinn's reply made the supervisor go silent.

Before he could continue his sentence, the five huge shadows landed not far from where they stood.

Aura immediately took a fighting position, whereas Leinn just turned her head towards the newcomer.

These five Beasts were composed of different types of ferocious beasts that stood on four legs.

“Five different Animal Beasts type move together.. b-how can?” aura was surprised.

Right after the Aura question came out, five people jumped down from the Beast's back in front of them.

Three men and two women in the same uniform as the supervisor behind them began to step forward while clasping different types of weapons in their hands.

Seeing that dangerous situation, the supervisor behind them immediately ran over and stood in front of Leinn and Aura.

“Supervisor No.12, Kurt Lannister reported the situation is under control!” he said while giving a salute.

Seeing their members in fine state in front of them, the five new supervisors kept their weapons and walked up to Leinn's group.

They started talking to the supervisor that Leinn had saved and were seen several times turning towards Aura who was standing nervously.

From their explanations, the five supervisors with the fastest Beasts were sent as the first reinforcements, followed by eight other supervisors following behind.

Realizing that the rescue mission was complete before they arrived, one of the new supervisors took out a green crystal cube and started talking in front of him.

“Hoh...” Leinn said as she stepped closer to the Beast waiting not far from them.

Looking at the five Animal Beasts before him, Leinn began to examine their bodies closely.

All five of them possessed Rank B Beast strength, with one of them being much stronger compared to the other four.

The new supervisor is seen finished talking through what looks like a communication device and discovers the young stranger is examining their Beast.

“E-hem” one of the female supervisors coughed softly.

Hearing that, Leinn simply turned around and walked back then stopped and stood beside Aura.

“You...” the supervisor who stood at the front was visibly offended by Leinn's behavior and began to step closer to him.

Seeing the expression of his chairman, Supervisor Kurt came forward to stop the deterioration of the situation.

It turned out that the offended supervisor was the head of their group.

The supervisor's assessment of the foreign youth in front of him had already fallen quickly after seeing his behavior, so he stopped caring about it.

“Thank you for saving my subordinate, Aura Flameheart. I am the head of the safety supervisor of the prospective new student of this test, Mint Baccus”

Supervisor Mint extended her hand at Aura with a smile, with her wavy green hair visibly shaking in the wind.

Aura only fell silent after hearing that and turned to Leinn, who was yawning from boredom.

Seeing his handshake being rejected, Mint's smile seemed to tremble.

“When we saw the pillar of fire that appeared in the direction of the help signal we received, we thought Rank A Beast had appeared again in this forest. It was unexpected that the fire was your magic, Aura Flameheart. Once again I thank you for saving my subordinates” he said without lowering his outstretched hand.

“K-chair” Kurt said with a little panic

Seeing the woman in front of him still ignoring his hand, he pulled back his hand then turned his head towards Kurt with an annoyed expression.

“What?” said ketus.

“Princess Aura did heal my wounds. but what saved me from danger was the young man standing beside her” Kurt pointed at Leinn.

“Hah?”

Unbelieving what he had heard, Mint checked Leinn again.

All he saw was a young man in dirty clothes who ignored him.

Mint began to frown, what nonsense was this subordinate talking about?

Leinn realized he was being noticed, he only returned Mint's gaze for a moment and stopped caring about her again.

Aura turned her head and looked at the new expression on Leinn's face at the moment, an expression extremely bored.

It seemed like he had already reached his limit after interacting briefly with that Chief Supervisor of the Mint.

And Mint finally realized that too.

“K-you!” Mint felt so humiliated the way Leinn saw it.

“Come Aura” said Leinn while turning around leaving them all, ignoring Mint's reaction.

Seeing that Leinn had already started walking, Aura lowered her head towards Mint and turned around following her.

“H-hey..!” mint's anger had already turned into a feeling of confusion.

Chief Supervisor Mint got a supervisory position this time because of her high ability and fame, there was no one in the academy who did not recognize her.

This was the first time someone had treated himself like a rock by the road.

“T-wait! I haven't got your name!” Kurt shouted from behind him.

This time Leinn turned her head and smiled, and without stopping her steps she replied, without stopping,

“Leinn Springleaf”

“If you need help, just find me in the academy!” yell Kurt once more.

Leinn simply replied with a wave of his hand and continued walking until he was lost among the trees.

Mint looks increasingly upset, realizing only she is not ignored by the dirty young man.

Seeing this his superior was getting angrier, Kurt began to explain the incident from the beginning until the time Aura Flameheart ‘ burned him’.

“Hmph!” snort Mint out loud.

Even with the explanation and evidence in front of him, his anger was not at all reduced and only increased because he felt he lost the reason to be angry.

He did not believe the dirty young man he had just met could defeat the Giant Tarantula group, and shouldered three people and ran at such speed.

Mint just kept quiet and went back on her Beast and ordered her subordinates to bring the two still unconscious youths out of the forest.

“Leinn Springleaf”

Mint repeated this name to remember it clearly, then realized that it sounded familiar.
