Ch. 161 – Barrage Attack

“Groar..”

A three-meter-long lion started to wake up while shifting some other Beasts lying around it. He realized that he could already gather power in all four legs, for the first time after so long.

His sight began to return along with dozens of purple needles throughout his body that began to break apart and vanish without a trace. The first to fill his sight were the bodies of other Beasts trying to get up, along with the needles on their bodies that were starting to crack as well.

Then his hearing returned, making him able to hear the growls of various types of Beasts around him.

Then his sense of smell returned

“Groar?!”

And he could smell the very fresh smell of blood and the very thick smell of charred blood. It made him become extremely shocked and alert, but it was all cut short the next instant.

“Gro-“

Because his sense of touch returned, directly telling him the origin of the smell of blood and charred, which was none other than a hole that pierced through one side and out the other side of his own body.

The perpetrators of this attack were on the other side of a large field from which they had gathered, from above the wall that protected the city that was their target.

“Kena, 32 meters right and 16 meters top, 3 seconds”

A single purple line shot out swiftly in the sky and landed right on the head of the new Bird Beast who wanted to flap its wings to return to flight.

Whoosh whoosh Crackle...!

Two purple lines shot through the air and were instantly overtaken by a single golden line that passed through them and struck the head of the brown bull in the middle of the Beast's sea. The two purple lines then landed on the other two Bird Beasts.

“Kena, 60 meters left and 20 meters top, 10 sec”

“Ok”

Purple flames lit up in both of Leinn's eyes that had just placed three arrows on his long bow, which was instantly shrouded in a thick purple mist until his third body could no longer be seen.

Crackle...!

The golden lightning leaped from the long spear in Roland's right hand which was in a perfect throwing position, with his left hand already locking onto the target he had received from the young man beside him.

Whoosh's...

Three arrows came loose and the other two had already taken their place, which were instantly finished being pulled as well.

Whoosh... whoosh...!

Three, five, eight, eleven, forming a rain of arrows that looks to continue to multiply as time goes on.

And just as the number of arrows in the air reached 30, Leinn stopped his movements and only rested his bow which had already emitted white steam.

Jab jab jab...!

The 20 Bird Beasts received one arrow right between their eyes, ending their lives.

One by one the remaining arrows landed on the several Beasts lying in quite a separate place in front of that sea of Beasts, ending their lives as well. And when the last arrow lands...

A white steam full of lightning shot out from Roland's mouth which shook his right hand which was also being enveloped in golden lightning. He then grabbed one of the long spears that were lined up beside him and immediately took up the throwing position again.

“Kena, 107 meters right and 52 meters down, 2 seconds”

“Ok”

And it repeats continuously at a very high speed.

Damian and all the other Hunters could not believe what they were looking at right now, seeing the abilities displayed by the two youths who were younger than all of them, killing Rank C and Rank B Beasts was like picking leaves.

If they had previously thought that Leinn and Roland only had a large amount of Mana and a special Gift, the show in front of them proved something else.

Swoosh's... Crackles!

The rumors and information that spread only said that the two genius youths in front of them were sword weapon users, but that their long-range attack ability had already crossed the reasonable limit.

Since inserting a Mana capable of killing a Rank C Beast with a single arrow was one thing, hitting an existing target almost beyond the limits of sight was another.

Several Hunter archers above the city walls could clearly see that every arrow Leinn released would land right on his target's forehead, without missing a single shot. This was something that only the most elite Rank A Hunter archers could do.

Roland's throw successfully hit another huge Beast and annihilated it in an instant, making all the Hunters around him break out in cold sweat. They realized their city walls would not be able to withstand more than four such spear throws before turning into rubble.

Several Hunter archers instantly showed expressions of pain when they saw what had just happened. The spear lost from being thrown by Roland was one thing, but the bow shattered after use was something unusual.

It happened several times in less than 10 minutes.

“Hm” Leinn grabbed another bow from beside him and continued his attack again.

Every 50 to 100 arrows, the bow that Leinn used would turn into dust just like that. Even the one with the best quality could only withstand 200 arrows before returning to the ground as well.

And when Roland's throw hits his target again...

“Kena, 50 meters-well.

All the surviving Rank B Beasts instantly let out one loud roar simultaneously, producing a powerful wave that swept across the entire sea of Beasts around them. The mana contained within the sound waves struck the purple needles which had already weakened slightly due to the lightning Mana in the air, breaking everything together simultaneously

Loud growls began to be heard along with thousands of bodies waking up simultaneously, with their sight not separated from the people above the city walls in the distance.

Leinn who had seen it immediately turned his head behind him, looking at all the other Hunters who were sculpting.

“Prepare, maybe you guys will need to move”
