Ch. 27 – Throne Protector

The black-haired youth started walking, causing movements all over the surrounding floor, walls and ceiling surfaces.

Along with each step that led him to the center of the room, the crystal stones around him also started to light up even brighter.

The description showed all the other Slime Beasts that were there.

The entire surface of the room had been covered by thousands of lumps of water of varying sizes, moving and swiping at each other.

Of course none of the Slime dared to approach and make a five-meter wide empty circle around it.

And finally Leinn got near the biggest slime and after standing in front of him, made him realize again how big the creature was.

Leinn who was standing ten meters away from him became difficult to see the peak of his large body. At least the height of the creature in front of him had already broken through 50 meters, making him one of the greatest Beasts he had ever encountered.

Dozens of Slime Cores can be seen swimming slowly inside the transparent light blue body.

An unusually strong pressure befell all the Beasts around him, coupled with the Mana in the air that started to move chaotically.

All Rank D and Rank C Slime instantly stopped moving and began to have difficulty maintaining its shape. The slime on the walls and ceiling also began to fall and landed on top of another Slime, stopping moving as well.

Most of the Slime Beasts that formed the wall looked extremely difficult to move, leaving some with the most Cores and giant Slime Beasts in front of the young man.

Now all that could still move in the room was the 20 Rank B Slime Beast and what looked like that Rank B+ Slime Beast.

“Hm? What was my purpose for coming here?” leinn said after seeing the giant Slime Beast move in front of him.

Leinn was slightly surprised by the quick reaction and instantly sheathed back his sword, putting up the low horses.

Each Slime Beast took out at least 10 tentacles from their bodies, producing an attack that formed waves that filled Leinn's entire view. All the exits are covered.

But the attack will not be able to reach it.

An invisible wall formed two meters around Leinn, cutting off all the tentacles that attacked him. All the pieces of the cut tentacles fell down and turned into water, drenching the floor where the young man was standing.

After a few seconds had passed, a crack finally formed and Leinn immediately leaped strongly towards the Slime on his left.

Leinn laughed as he moved his head to the side, dodging the tentacles while pulling out his sword and slashing the body of the Slime Beast.

The attack did not succeed in hitting a single Slime Core and only gave a ten-centimeter-deep cut on its transparent body.

The Slime Beast began to reunite the cut section and succeeded, then fell to the floor and stopped moving.

Seeing that the Slime had fallen in one strike, the other Slime Beasts began to continue their tentacle attacks.

But since the distance between the young man and the besieging circle was already too short, they could not make as many tentacles as their first attack.

This time Leinn only needed to dodge the incoming attacks and counterattack in the visible cracks.

After dodging all of those attacks for a few minutes, finally all of the Rank B Slime Beasts fell down and stopped moving. Their jelly bodies were already almost flat on the floor, with their Slime Core still retaining some of their shape.

Leinn swung his right hand to clean the jelly stuck in his sword eyes and looked at the biggest Slime in front of him.

After the first attack, the Slime was just waiting without giving a follow-up attack.

“Didn't I say it? I want Slime Heart behind you”

Hearing this answer, the Giant Slime began its attack. His body began to shake violently and 40 tentacles appeared and started attacking the human in front of him simultaneously.

“Whoa” said Leinn while jumping back as far as 10 meters.

Now they were 30 meters apart, but that only made it a little easier for Leinn to dodge the attack.

It was true that the number of tentacles attacking him had been drastically reduced compared to before, but the level of danger had instead shot up.

Each tentacle of the Giant Slime was twice as wide as the previous Rank B Slime and moved three times faster. The coordination of each tentacle was also perfect, plus a false movement was tucked between the attacks.

Leinn had already realized the Giant Slime in front of him had an unusual intelligence and was able to estimate how he moved. Each slash he launched only gave a shallow cut wound without splitting the tentacle, which was covered in an instant as well.

The Giant Slime was starting to feel that there was something strange about the way the young man was fighting, seeing that he had only survived his attack. He did not understand why the human in front of him wanted to fight long-term with a beast with no limit of stamina like himself.

Finally the answer to that question came after ten minutes into their fight.

“It looks like it's time” muttered Leinn with a smile, sheathing back his sword.

Then he jumped backwards, onto one of the Slime's bodies that could not move behind him.

The Giant Slime reacted by pulling back all of its tentacles and began to slowly crawl forward.

Then he stopped moving.

Byoro...?!

His huge body slowly began to spread on the floor, pushing against the other Slime Beasts. The Giant Slime finally realized he was going through the same thing as the other Rank B Slime Beasts.

“Excuse me..” said Leinn as he reached out his right hand, stepping on Giant Slime's body.

Leinn realized again how big the Giant Slime was and after walking for a while, he got to the bottom of the long staircase. Without further ado, he lifted his leg and started walking up there.

“Hahaha..”.
