Ch. 154 – Mountain?

“Hah...hah.

Aura saw a volcano that continued to grow far from the back of a giant snake, seen still trying to stabilize its hunting breath. Most of him was still reluctant to escape like this but he also found out how useless the Fire Element Magic User seemed when fighting the Disaster Beast with the fire element as well.

“Kuh..”.

Adeline beside him clenched her fists in annoyance and had nowhere to vent her anger. He also actually already knew how disadvantageous it was for the Ice Element Magic User to seem to be to fight on a place with Fire Mana as close as Mount Lucerna, but that did not lessen the anger he was currently feeling.

A strong shock reached the two girls and they could see the area around the mountain starting to burn brightly with flames coming from the surrounding grasslands starting to burn. The gold line can be seen moving away from all those bursts and rain while continuing to deliver consecutive strikes at every opportunity. And in the middle of it all, the Disaster Beast turned its body and faced the crater of the volcano, followed by a huge amount of chains that exploded out from the body of that Disaster Beast.

The two of them then looked forward again and started recuperating faster, realizing they might still be able to help if they had 100 percent of their strength again.

Twig finally managed to move quite a distance and arrived at the group of people with familiar faces who were standing while looking behind them, looking at the ongoing fight in the distance.

“Nona Aura, Miss Adeline!”

A person in leather clothes and a burn on his cheek immediately ran up to the two girls who had just descended along with the white gorilla who was shouldering them. He was the head of one of the villages near here who was also the head of the Party that led this mission before the three of them came, Licht.

The aura that had replenished a small part of his Mananya until he already had the strength to stand it instantly saw Licht who reached in front of them while frowning her forehead.

“Is Miss okay? We saw the appearance of the Beast from here and did not know what to do-“

“Take everyone who is here to a safer place. If you can still see the mountain, then you are not safe”

Licht became very shocked when she saw the girl in front of him who was very quiet ever since she first met him the day ago that gave her a firm and quick order, making her answer too late.

Aura looked oblivious to that because she was busy thinking about her next plan, then realized her options became much more when she put Leinn and Roland into her calculations. He closed his eyes and began to make many simulations of those plans and see if they could be done.

Adeline realized what Aura was doing and immediately looked for a seat, starting to concentrate on refilling her Mananya while resting.

People began to spread the order and they immediately gathered their belongings to leave this place, realizing that the fight in the distance was far more dangerous than they thought. The sound of commotion could be clearly heard along with the panicked sound of human and Beast footsteps, until all of a sudden...

“Hm?”

Aura opened her eyes and realized everyone and the Beast in front of her had already stopped moving and put on a puzzled expression. He could also see some people pointing towards behind him while saying something.

So Aura turned her body upside down to see what they were talking about, looking towards the volcano of the fight-place

“Huh..?”

Aura looked on becoming silent for a moment before starting to wipe her eyes a few times and look again, then turned her head to the side and found Adeline also rubbing her eyes while looking in that direction.

The two of them then exchanged looks of disbelief and realized it wasn't just them themselves who were wrongly looking or misremembered.

“Where..”

The place that should have shone brightly because of the fight was now almost pitch dark, although the moonlighting should still be enough to show the silhouette of a gigantic mountain.

But the silhouette was completely invisible, like the mountain that should have been there, was never there.

The thoughts of Aura, Adeline, and everyone there were cut short when they felt the ground they were standing on began to tremble, which instantly changed from a small vibration to a huge shock in less than 2 seconds.

The instantaneous aura could still keep his clear mind aware of a barely visible wall that was moving at high speed towards them. It didn't take long for Aura to connect all the information that was going on right now, reaching a single conclusion. He turned his body and after a single deep breath, he,

Basalt instantly moved and stood in front of Aura and Adeline, smashing his fists on the ground many times and successfully summoning the black stone wall that protected the two girls.

Twig who looked at Aura and Adeline who were already safe instantly moved her body and protected everyone who started to drop themselves onto the ground and grasped what was in front of them.

Elsa and Clear had already moved and stuck behind Twig who had started to sway and submerge a part of his body into the ground.

And when the shock reaches its peak, the invisible wall finally reaches them

The sound of the wind that makes no sense can be heard and vibrate the eardrums of all living things there, along with a gust of wind that is like wanting to blow them all into the air.

Loud screams could be heard from the few who received the gust of strong wind, even after it had been mostly held back by Twig.

The wind finally subsided very quickly and let all those groups of people back on their feet, then began to stroke the chests of those who were going up and down due to their immense shock.

“Basalt!”

Aura also directly checked the condition of the Beast in front of her and realized he was completely unharmed, then directly pointed towards the direction the wind wave was coming from while staring at the white gorilla.

Basalt who instantly understood what Aura meant stretched out his two hands, then let the two girls sit on his shoulders. He instantly moved and leaped onto the giant snake that had just lifted its body from the ground.

Twig also made no further ado and immediately moved back towards the direction they had run before, to where the mountain had once been.

The transparent tentacles tied Basalt's legs and allowed Clear to pull himself back over the giant snake's head.

Finally the Aura group immediately left the group that was still clueless about what had just happened.
