Humanity Return
Ch. 138 – Two Missions Together

Aura showed a surprised expression when she heard that, as it was not information that ordinary disciples knew.

“The number of Beasts obtained by some Scouts from the Raid Party always changes every hour, causing a slight commotion. But it got bigger when they realized the reason, which was none other than that indeed the number continued to grow at a very unreasonable speed.”.

Isla stroked the back of her left hand, then looked at Aura with a serious expression.

“Although there was not a single Rank A Beast among all those groups. Finally it reached the scale of ‘Beast Stampede’”

“...!?”

Beast Stampede, a name already synonymous with natural disasters. There have only been four recorded cases over the past few hundred years and two of them managed to reduce the human population markedly before they could be stopped by Rank S Hunter at that time.

One of the reasons the mission of clearing the Beast Nest and hunting Beasts that did not appear near the settlement even though it was still important was to prevent the occurrence of Beast Overpopulation, which if it was still not controlled quickly would result in the Beast Stampede.

“That is the reason most Rank B Parties from the academy and Hunter Guilds went there the past month, but it seems like they were late in cleaning it up and the result is the present state of”

Isla let out a tired breath while looking at the Advanced Mission Board in front of her.

“A few days ago, all the remaining Rank B Parties had also left there. This led to the Beast starting to breed unsupervised and those organizations that saw this as an opportunity.”.

This time Isla showed a small smile while looking at Aura.

“...which fortunately behasil stopped quickly also”

“No problem”

Leinn suddenly appeared and answered just like that, with her hair still looking wet.

“So, what are you guys talking about?”

“A-ah, um... There is nothing..”

Isla answered quickly while waving her right hand in panic, trying to hide her feelings of shock as well. In front of him was one of the reasons the mission of aiding and suppressing the organization that had sprung up within the Fire Sect Continent had finally stopped appearing the last two days.

Leinn spent all his time completing all of those missions when these types of missions started popping up in large numbers the past week, either alone or in the company of other team members, or just with one of their Contracted Beasts.

Almost all of the Mission Center and Hunter Guild officers already knew the dozens of organizations that were destroyed the past week had caused the other organizations to immediately hide and not dare to make trouble again.

“Oh, alright”

But the young man himself did not seem to care and started reading the contents of the papers that had just been installed this morning.

Aura only stared at the young man's face for a moment before returning his attention to the girl in front of him.

Isla also only returned the gaze for a few moments, then lowered her head slightly.

“...please think of”

“Un”

Isla hopes that LAHAR Party will quickly reach Rank B in order to follow the Large-Scale Mission, in the belief that their abilities will greatly help the current situation.

Two Rank A Hunter Elites like Leinn and Roland were power levels that could change the balance of even a large-scale fight.

“Hm..”

The problem was that even though Adeline, Hinata and herself had reached Rank B some time ago, their Party was still in Rank C. If they maintained their current mission completion speed, they would reach Rank B Party exactly another week, or...

“Hm..”

Aura looked at the two sheets of paper next to each other in bright red, two sheets of paper that were also being seen by Leinn who was already smiling faintly. Two papers are very striking among other missions around it, because the capital letter in the middle of the paper is different from the others.

“Rank A Urgent Mission.

...

Rank A Mission, a mission with a much higher level of difficulty to the point that it is not comparable to Rank B Mission. Most of these missions have always been related to the emergence of Rank A Beasts that target humans, large-scale organizations that damage the balance of nature or harm the population, or Rank B General-Class Beasts to the top.

These missions are usually not open to the public and are directly awarded by the Hunter Guild on Rank A Party which proves to be able to complete them because if a mission of this level to the point fails, bigger problems will usually follow.

An example of that problem was one of the Stampede Beasts told earlier, caused by Rank A Party not seriously completing the mission of clearing the Nest Beast from a Rank B Lord Class Beast, let him create some other Beast Nest with a new master. Some of the subsequent chain reactions and the result were dozens of ruined villages and several towns flattened to the ground.

But looking at the current situation, the Hunter Guild hoped there would not be a Rank A Mission that required quick attention. That hope was fulfilled for quite a while until the past week, where two requests with Rank A difficulties that required attention quickly appeared simultaneously.

And like a sky laugh, the solution also appeared the next few days. Two individuals with Rank A create a Party and begin sweeping the mission stack along with three others who have the same completion speed.

Eventually the Hunter Guild decided to let the Mission Center install those two Rank A Missions on their Advanced Mission Boards, with a message to the receptionist on duty to subtly direct the party's attention on those two missions.

And results?

“Sounds we're not too late?”

“Ya”

The large-scale Beast Nest cleaning mission, located in one of the locations not too far from Blazing Sun, was the mining town of Adamant. Now they were standing on one side of the city, or rather the surface of the huge mountain that was the reason this place was formed.

A city that was once just a small mining headquarters, before they finally discovered the giant Adamantite vein several tens of years ago and enriched the miners of the time. The result was that they chose to move out and live here with their families, forming the small town that eventually became the present-day City of Adamant.

“Plan A?”
