Humanity Return
Ch. 2 – A Hunter?

The sun is almost at its peak and emits quite high heat, but the wind and clouds in the sky make the atmosphere not too hot.

The groups around the forest can be seen examining their equipment and weaponry one last time, seeing the time the test begins is not long.

“Hoam...”

Except for one young man lying on the grass, he was seen folding a paper plane. His gaze looked empty as if he was daydreaming about something and was half closed, even though his hand did not stop folding the paper.

“L-leinn..” small voice suddenly sounded.

Hearing her name being called, Leinn who had been seen almost asleep opened her eyes and turned to the direction of the call.

There stood a girl who looked agitated.

“What's up?”

“Do you t-not feel nervous..?”

Leinn looked at Aura's nervous face in front of her and smiled.

“Why should I feel nervous? It's just a test to catch a beast, isn't it? Just relax and enjoy this sunny weather..”.

Leinn was seen drifting into the dream world again, but his hands continued to make paper planes.

Dozens of paper planes can be seen strewn around where they lie.

Aura started to feel unsure after seeing how relaxed the young man was. All he had done since they got to this place was write something on paper while looking at the forest, lay on the grass, then start folding paper planes.

Aura still had some things she wanted to ask but was too nervous to ask, considering they had only known each other less than an hour ago.

“T-but if we're not careful we could just make a mistake and g-fail..”

“Ya... if that happens, then it happened” his hand put the paper plane he just finished making and took back a piece of paper from the big bag beside him, starting again the manufacture.

“h-huh?” Aura was very surprised when she heard that. The indifference Leinn showed left him speechless.

“Let's rest, if I fail to catch the Beast, it only proves my incompetence. If that happens, yes. There were still many other things I could do besides being a Beast Trainer” Both of his hands stopped moving. “Ya, although that may not happen”

Hearing this explanation, Aura became speechless and began to ponder. After a while Aura looked back at Leinn and smiled awkwardly.

“Maybe...there is also a point that you say” The nervousness in his voice sounds a little reduced.

“...” Leinn gave no response and simply kept silent and looked at Aura's face.

Seeing Leinn not responding and just staring at her face, Aura again felt nervous for a different reason. He began to turn his head left and right and realized the sword leaning against the large bag beside where Leinn was lying.

“P-sword it! I-I never saw a sword with a b-shape like that!”

“Hm?” Leinn finally stopped looking at Aura and turned his head towards her bag.

“A-I have never seen a sword school in the city of Blazing Sun that uses this type of sword..” Aura breathed a sigh of relief. “b-may I know which sword school you came from..?”

Leinn raised his body to a sitting position, and stared at the sword.

“First, this sword is the gift of my friend from Ironforge and secondly, I am not from any sword school”

Hearing the familiar name of the city, Aura opened her eyes wide.

“K-city iron wall Ironforge?! Why did you travel so far as to Blazing Sun...? W-if not wrong, Ironforge also has an academy that is no less famous than Red Dawn Academy?” Aura started to take a deep breath after saying all that, stabilizing her breathing.

Leinn paused for a moment after hearing that, then grabbed onto one of his four pockets and pulled out a necklace.

Simple necklace, with a blue stone in the shape of a water droplet on the leather strap of an ordinary animal.

“My hunting friend in Ironforge told me that the time of admission of new students to the Academy in the five major cities was a few months left, reminding me of a. janj” Leinn smiled gently while staring at the blue necklace in his hand.

“Appointment..”

Aura became pensive for a moment when she saw Leinn's expression, then realized something.

“Hm? Yes, I started working as a Hunter some time after arriving in the city of Ironforge” Leinn returned the blue necklace into his pocket.

He conveyed that just normally, but Aura showed a different reaction.

“Wow...” his eyes look almost shining.

Not expecting his words to get such a reaction, Leinn became reminded of something. He began to pull his big bag closer and grabbed into it.

“Wait a minute..I should have brought him here” his hands began to scramble the contents of his big bag.

Aura awoke from her admiration and found Leinn starting to take out things she had never seen from her bag.

“Not this, not that, and.. can!” after some strange objects were drawn out, he finally found what he was looking for. “Just this morning I took out this thing, why can it be at the bottom of the bag..?”.

Leinn pulled out two objects, one in the form of a transparent crystal card, and another in the form of a transparent crystal cubic.

“Huh... I forgot which one..” he stared at the two objects in his hand in confusion.

“It... Hunter ID card and Crystal Status?”

“Oooh so you know which one is my Hunter card? I haven't worn it for a long time so I forgot what the shape of both is ”

Leinn smiled and threw the two crystals in his hand towards Aura.

“Awawa..” Aura became frantic looking at the two objects that were drifting towards her all of a sudden.

He managed to catch both of those things with great difficulty with both of his hands. His breathing became disordered because of his shock.

“Hehe” Leinn chuckles at that reaction.

After a while had passed to stabilize his breathing, Aura finally started talking again.

“Can I see it?”

Aura looked at the crystal card in front of her with a curious look, looking very interested in the object in her hand.

“Of course?” Leinn raised one eyebrow, lacking in understanding what that Aura meant.

Aura looked at the card seriously and began to take a deep breath. Suddenly a blue light began to appear and revolve around his right hand holding the crystal card, the accumulated Mana began to flow into the crystal card, and a small light screen appeared on it.

“WHOAH!” the black-haired young man screamed.

Leinn looked amazingly surprised at the sight before him.

“You can do that with this card?!” he stretched out his finger and saw the finger pierce through the small screen of light.

‘You don't understand the function of your own card...?’ thought Aura while looking at the young man in front of her in a daze.

Leinn got up to his feet, walked to Aura's side, then placed his face beside Aura's face to look at the writing that appeared.

“Wa..” Aura was late in reacting and could only see the writing with her
