Ch. 133 – Light Conversation

Together with the newcomer's voice, all of the purple mist on the roof instantly shook violently before spinning swiftly and being sucked into the body of the black-haired young man in the long chair.

The young man, Leinn looked back and found the owner of the familiar voice.

“Oh hey, Aura”

That girl, Aura looked at the smile on the face of the young man in front of her with a worried expression.

“Hei..?”

Aura had just reached that roof a moment ago and found almost her entire gaze had been covered in an extremely dense purple mist. He first felt confused then realized the familiar fog, then started walking into the middle of it all.

“...are you okay?”

Then the fog in front of him instantly opened a path. Until he could finally see the back of a black-haired person from the cracks of the fog.

“Of course?”

Leinn started leaning against the armrest of his long chair while raising one of his eyebrows, not understanding what Aura meant.

Aura said nothing more then started walking to the other side of the long chair and sat down, making a considerable distance between them.

Silence formed for a while, until finally Aura started talking.

“Tomorrow..”.

“Besok?”

“Roland told me that Twig would finish digesting tomorrow afternoon, so he would accompany her tonight”

“Hoh..”.

Leinn turned to her side and found Aura who was looking at her.

“Adeline had just gone to accompany Roland as well, and Hinata had also fallen asleep in my room. I'm having a little trouble sleeping, and I guess you'll probably be here”.

“Hm”

Leinn nodded his head and understood, seeing that his habit of relaxing here had become common knowledge for the other students in the academy.

“Tenma..”.

Aura nodded her head slowly, then turned her head and looked at Leinn.

Leinn stroked his chin, recalling a few moments when he saw Tenma inside the academy, then managed to recall the last time he saw Aura and the young man were in the same place.

“Hm? Wasn't he in the Fighting Class before?”

“Hah?”

Aura herself did not remember that at all and could only show a puzzled expression. He was quite certain that he could recognize Tenma's face if he saw her in the distance, especially if meeting in such a place.

“A-what do you mean?”

Leinn finally nodded his head after realizing why Aura did not remember meeting Tenma.

“...and how to walk and talk differently. He was also talking to the other disciples as well casually back then. Looks like I also saw the original owner of the face he wore in the afternoon that was also”

Leinn continued the story without realizing Aura's face had been changing every new information she heard.

It finally took a while after Leinn stopped talking for Aura to calm herself down and process all that information.

Leinn explained that she did feel a little strange when she saw the students who had just met Tenma directly talking to her and looked very close, but on another day they would pass each other like they didn't know each other at all.

Aura simply touched her hair while pondering, realizing that Tenma must have used an identity that had nothing to do with her previous identity. He was increasingly curious about what kind of world Leinn was seeing with eyes affected by her Gift.

“Oh yes, I met with Brick's group this afternoon. Looks like they're getting stronger”

“Brick? Yes, their group had already become quite a famous Party in the first week of academy activity began.”.

This time Aura who explained what Brick and his friends had done the past month, saw their group was also a bit famous among the new students.

But the strange thing about these four young men was that they continued to reject the invitations from the various groups that invited them, albeit with the promise of Precious Materials for their Contracted Beasts.

Then some small things like the things Aura found in the classes she attended, or some of the furore Roland did in the classes she attended.

Leinn just nodded his head when he heard that, then remembered that some people did sometimes talk about some of it. But he was quite certain other than Roland, the same thing was done by Aura and Adeline as well. Only he likes to wander around without any direction that has not been too eye-catching for the past month.

Their conversation suddenly started to slow down and finally stopped, along with the previous relaxed atmosphere also turning a little dark.

The two of them stopped talking and for a while, only the night wind accompanied the two of them. Until when Aura opened her mouth slowly.
