Ch. 21 - Contract

The beast, the new disciple, and the supervisor within the forest felt their vision suddenly sway, then realized the ground they were standing on was shaking quite strongly.

Some of the supervisors on top of the city walls were shocked not to play when they saw all the birds flying together from all over the forest.

They all began to think of one similar possibility, that the forest had obtained a new Rank A Beast.

While the original perpetrator of the commotion...

“Hah..” sighed and dropped the sword in his hand.

Leinn also fell down, running out of strength. He could also feel his clothes being wet with blood attached to his body.

“T-down me!”

Aura regained her senses and asked the Wolf Beast to take it down.

The wolf released its bite and let Aura run towards where Leinn fell.

Looking at Aura who was standing with an anxious expression in front of her, Leinn could only let out a small laugh.

“Hehe... Looks like I won-AUCH”.

The stick landed on his head, which Aura swung with all her might. He could see Aura worrying herself to the point of crying. He feels guilty.

“I'm sorry... but can you cure him..?” leinn said as he pointed in front of her.

He also noticed the tip of the stick that had just hit him was being enveloped by the white flames, and found the wound on his head had stopped spitting fresh blood.

Aura wiped away the tears on her face and turned her head towards the direction Leinn pointed to then opened her eyes wide, greatly shocked.

There lay the Gorilla Beast in his stone armor that had collapsed after receiving the wave of the sword. Both of his hands were visibly injured, but his most severe wound was a red line extending from his left shoulder all the way to his right waist.

Blood could be seen continuing to flow profusely from his wound.

“E-eeh?!”

Seeing her critical condition, Aura immediately hit the ground with the tail of her cane while chanting her incantation.

Leinn could see a red line appear on the ground from the long stick to the injured Gorilla's body, followed by a magic circle that began to form under the Gorilla Beast's body.

Then four magic circles formed at the edge of the first magic circle, separated by at least five meters between one and the other, forming a square.

With one last slap, Aura swung her wand.

[Flame Prison!]

A perfect cubic-shaped white flame with a width of five meters formed and enveloped the entire body of the Gorilla Beast, interjecting its entire body.

“Hoooh..” The gorilla let out a faint sound from within that white cubic.

Just now that Leinn was relieved, he could see Aura had already turned around and was back facing him with a stick in her hand already raised high.

[Fire Enchant, Threefold]

Bak bak...

And he started hitting Leinn many times with a stick that was already covered in white flames.

“Auch auch auch, stop, I give up!” Leinn could feel the wounds on his body begin to disappear, but his stamina was still too drained to provide any resistance.

He also realized the speed at which his wound healed was not the same as the speed at which his stamina returned. Finally he resigned himself and allowed himself to fall to the ground, not against Aura who healed him in such a manner. He could only wait until the girl was no longer angry.

The fire on his staff had been extinguished for a while and finally Aura stopped her attack, out of breath.

“I'm sorry, I'll be more careful next time” Leinn wakes up from his lying position after noticing the blow on his body has stopped.

In fact he had already gained enough power to return to moving a moment ago, but looking at the watery Aura's eyes Leinn had finally chosen not to move.

The punch of Aura's wand also could not give the slightest pain in her already healthy body.

Aura also already realized the young man in front of her had completely healed and received his weak attack without reacting anything, making her realize his futile deeds and finally stop his attack.

“Hmph!” grunting Aura while turning her body.

He walked over and sat under a tree ten meters from Leinn, looking still upset.

Leinn stroked his head and saw the Gorilla Beast was five meters away from him, who just sat down and looked at him.

The Aura fire magic had already been extinguished after burning for three minutes, then showed the Gorilla Beast had completely healed. Only a thin line on his chest could be seen, which was already covered in his re-growing white fur..

When he opened his eyes, he found that the man who defeated him had been beaten by the smaller man without giving a fight.

“Hah..” Aura let out a long breath.

Not only was his aura drained of power after swinging his staff repeatedly, but it was currently the first time he had used great magic many times in a day. The use of large amounts of Mana and the stamina that was drained in a short period of time made his body feel weak.

Seeing that Aura had been trying until that late to heal the injured person and Beast, Leinn got up and walked over to where she was sitting.

“Hue!” scream Aura, surprised.

He had just felt his head being touched all of a sudden and instantly raised his face, finding Leinn who had already walked away.

Leinn was intending to stroke Aura's head, but was suddenly reminded of her previous reaction. So he only patted his head once and continued his steps to where the Gorilla Beast was sitting.

“Hoh” Gorilla Beast saw the black-haired human walking up to him and started to stand up.

Leinn stopped walking in front of the huge Gorilla that was using both of his arms to support his exhausted body. A smile appeared on his face covered in dried blood.

“As per our bet, you will be my Contracted Beast!”

“Hoh..” The gorilla nodded his head once.

He started to lower his head, acknowledging Leinn.

Seeing that, Leinn extended her right hand.

“...” silence is formed between the two of them.

Ten seconds passed and the two of them did not move from their positions, then Leinn lowered her right hand.

“Leinn?” aura said confusedly

Aura had already noticed their exchange and was waiting for Leinn to make her contract, it turned out that it ended without anything happening.

Leinn heard the call and turned her body around. He looked at Aura who was sitting under the tree with a small smile.

“How to... make a Contract?”

Aura heard that, then looked at that little smile, then started repeating that sentence in her head. After a few seconds of processing the question, a short answer came out of his small mouth.

“Hah?”
