God's Choice of Mate

God's Choice of Mate
A man who is suddenly present.

I set my left foot first while reading the do'a out of the mosque:

"Allahummaghfir lii dzunuu bii wafftah lii abwaa ba fadhlika Meaning, “Yes Allah O our Lord, forgive my sins and open the doors of Your mercy.”

My eyes continue to search for where the existence of Pak Budi in the midst of the bustle of worshipers who are present in this mosque.

Sometimes I look up at the sky to make sure

Is the day already bright.

I walked towards the courtyard of the mosque while opening my palm.If it had not rained my heart.

The rain has stopped.

However, the sky still looks cloudy and dark.

Looks like the rain only stopped temporarily, my inner self.

While continuing to look around I continued to look for the whereabouts of Mr. Budi who I also have not found.

While from a distance the car driven by Mr. Budi is still in the parking lot.

Where did Mr Budi go?, my heart goes.

Instantly my eyes were captivated by the beauty of the fountain and garden around the mosque.

The wind blew playing my veil and clothes slowly.

And the cold air that greeted me didn't stop me from stepping there.

"MasyaAllah is beautiful" I said slowly as I sat on the stone chair.

I enjoy this beauty and coolness.

A feeling of peace that I can temporarily feel.

Before facing bitterness and pain after this.

I closed my eyes to enjoy the breeze, the fragrance of jasmine flowers and the fragrant ylanga drugged my olfactory senses.

My shahdu felt lulled in the splashing sound of the fountain spray.

"Rabbana ma khalaqta haza babila, sub-hanaka fa qina 'azaban-nar."

(Our Lord, thou hast created this in vain, Most Holy, and keep us from the torment of hell)" I said softly.

"Son Rani." cried someone calling me from a distance.

I flinched from my composure then looked around looking for the person who called my name.

From a distance, someone waved his hand at me, indicating that he was the one who called me to approach him.

I squinted my eyes at who was there.

Oh..apparently Mr. Budi, my inner.

Immediately I got up from my seat and walked towards the place where Mr. Budi.

"Son Rani from anywhere?Mr Budi nyariin did not meet?," he said.

"Lho Rani also nyariin Pak Budi ,pak.Tadi after the Ashar Rani prayer came out but did not see Mr. Budi anywhere. So, the end of Rani waiting here sir," I explained.

"Oh.iya son, So after prayers Mr. Budi was chatting with the son of a friend of his father when he was a child. His grandfather was a good friend even a close friend of the late grandfather son Rani," stories PakBudi.

"Oh...Then where is the man sir?,"you were curious.

He looked to the right and left looking for someone.

"Ta..tadi..ada here. Now where is it?," said Mr. Budi look confused.

"Maybe you've come home or gone, sir" I said.

"No son Rani. She has not been saying good to you, "disprove Mr. Budi.

"Maybe forgetfulness sir or maybe he has an important sudden affair sir.So no time to say goodbye to Mr. Budi,"sahutku.

"Maybe yes son," said Mr. Budi with a slightly disappointed look.

"Later if God permits, Father Budi will surely meet again" I said encouragingly.

Mr. Budi nodded lethargicly.

"Yes already sir.Let's go home, Rani is afraid that Mr. Budi will be scolded later," I asked.

Me and Mr. Budi stepped slowly.

Test...tes ...Tesss....

BYURR......BYURR......BYURR.......

It rained suddenly very hard.

"Son Rani, we take shelter there first so as not to rain," cried Mr. Budi.

However, before me and Mr. Budi left.

Someone came up to me and Mr. Budi then patted us and smiled.

While giving one more umbrella to Mr. Budi.

I looked confusedly at the person.

Who her?

I don't know him at all.

Is he renting an umbrella?, I murmured in my heart.

At a glance the person looked at me then quickly turned his back on me and looked towards Pak Budi.

Mr. Budi returned with a happy smile.

I saw the expression on the face of Mr. Budi who seemed to know this person.

"MasyaAllah, thank you Riz," said Mr. Budi to the man who gave him the umbrella.

"Yes sir equally. It is better to take shelter first sir. This rain is getting thicker.Let's just go there with me," said the man was polite.

"Yes, the father of kirain was you where nak Fariz.Bapak kirain you have come home," said Mr. Budi happy.

But the man just smiled faintly.

Meanwhile, Mr. Budi opened one more umbrella and gave it to me.

"Son Rani use this umbrella so as not to get wet.We take shelter first, son, it rains again this,"saran Pak Budi.

I nodded in agreement with Mr. Budi's suggestion.

Not long after that I, Pak Budi and the man walked under a heavy rain of wind.

He walked in front of me and Mr. Budi led us along.

Wuzzzzz....

The wind is blowing harder.

My umbrella slipped out of my finger grip.

"Astaghfirullah," I said a little screamed.

Mr. Budi and the man turned towards me hearing my voice.

He wanted to give me his umbrella as well as Mr. Budi.

However,

BYURR......

The rain flushed against my body for a moment.

I'm soaking wet.

Mr. Budi looked at me anxiously.

"Son Rani used the umbrella of the father.Bapak let the two with nak Fariz using his umbrella," said Mr. Budi while giving his umbrella.

My body feels cold and shivering.

Mr. Budi told me and the man to move quickly.

Finally, we arrived at a building on the right side of the mosque which is still a courtyard complex with a mosque.

Crossing my hands in my arms I looked around.

What building is this, my inner.

Until my eyes were fixed on a writing of the secretariat of the mosque welfare council.

"Son Rani is okay?" asked Budi worried about my condition.

Shivering with coldness I replied, "yes sir."

"But son Rani wet soaked. What if Pak Budi get a bag of Rani nak containing clothes. So that Rani son can change clothes.Pak Budi worried if Rani son why-napa," said Mr. Budi.

The man named Fariz listened to my conversation and Mr. Budi.

"It's true what Mr. Budi said.Later you can replace it in the office space which is all closed and safe," he said to me.

"How about Rani?" asked Budi to me.

"Alright sir, but the rain is still heavy with the wind sir" I said.

"It's okay son.Important is the condition of son Rani.Since son Rani just recovered from illness," said Mr. Budi softly.

Then he resumed his words.

"Oh..yes nak Fariz, my father borrowed his umbrella again yes.So if you park his car in front of here what can and is allowed?," asked Mr. Budi.

"Na'am tafadhol (yes please) sir."

"Thank you son Fariz. Then I close my son Rani for a moment yes,"please ask Mr. Budi.

"Allah is yes sir."

"For a while, son Rani, you stay a while," said Mr. Budi while going to carry an umbrella through the rain.

I nodded and looked at the passing Mr. Budi.

"Ukhti please sit down first.Oh.ya afwan, ukhti want to drink what?ask the man named Fariz.

"Hmmm...thank you.Don't you sir?" I said.

Then he laughed a little.

"Hahaha...do I look old so called sir?looks like we're almost the same age or maybe five or seven years different" he asked me.

"I'm sorry, if you don't like it, sir," I said confusedly.

"It's okay as comfortable as ukhti only.Oh.ya we have not been acquainted is not.Include my name Fariz.Dan ukhti?,"tanyanya.

"Oh...Rani.Is it his daughter Pak Budi?, "ask.

"No," I replied.

Not long after, Mr. Budi came by driving a car and parked it in front of this building.

Then Mr. Budi came out wearing an umbrella and brought my bag containing a change of clothes during my hospital stay.

"This is Rani's son" said Mr. Budi giving me the bag he brought.

"Thank you very much sir" I replied.

"After I call my friend Aisyah who will deliver Rani ukhti" Fariz said.

Then he went inside to call his friend.

And soon his friend Aisha came out with him.

"Let's come with me" replied the woman named Aisyah.

I nodded and followed his steps.

The woman named Aisyah accompanied me.He sat outside waiting for me to change clothes.

"Alhamdulillah is done!"asked me.

I also nodded.

Then he smiled sweetly in his light brown hijab.

"Ukhti we are not yet acquainted.Include my name Aisyah.Dan Ukhti?,"asked me while extending his hand.

"I'm Rani" I replied as I welcomed her hand.

"Astaghfirullah, hands are cold for a while." he said, looking for something in his pocket.

"Well, you can use this eucalyptus oil so that you feel warm not cold," he said as he thrust the oil bottle at me.

Without thinking long I immediately took the oil and went back into the bathroom (toilet) women to use the oil.

"Thank you, brother," I said after returning from the bathroom.

"Yes equally.Call Mbak only yes," he asked.

"Well Ma'am," I said.

"It's nice to meet Ukhti Rani," he said.

"Yes mbak.Mbak call me Rani just to get familiar quickly," I said.

"Oh.yes, yes," he said with a smile.

Then we both went back to where Mr. Budi was waiting for me.

"It was ustad Fariz" said a woman named Aisyah.

"Yes shukron ukhti Aisyah,"balas Fariz.

"Sama-sama Tad, then I have permission to enter first to continue some unfinished files" said Mbak Aisyah.

Aisyah then went inside.

I looked at him step inside and then he disappeared from my sight.

"Son Rani, sit here first. This is kak Fariz has made warm goat milk good he said to nak Rani," said Mr. Budi.

I then sat next to Mr. Budi opposite a man named Fariz.

"Thank you for the drink, brother," I said to a man named Fariz.

And Brother Fariz just nodded.

"This child Rani who I told you about earlier.Bapak met with son Fariz.Kakeknya son Fariz is a friend of his grandfather son Rani. And his father Nak Fariz befriended Mr. Budi," said Mr. Budi while sipping hot coffee.

RVLPPppppp...

Akhhh.........

"MasyaAllah, his pleasure matches his haw," said Mr. Budi.

I laughed a little at Mr. Budi.

"Nak Rani drank her milk to warm her body" said Mr. Budi while giving a glass to me.

"Ehhh, sir," I replied while receiving a glass from Mr. Budi.

"Son Fariz has just returned from Egypt to Rani. But one year back to Indonesia.Nah, that lecture and became the prayer priest was Nak Fariz," explained Pak Budi.

I just quietly listened to Mr. Budi speak.

"Now, Fariz's son has become an oustad" said Mr. Budi smiling.

"Sir Budi could be, you are entrusted from Allah sir.I am still learning to be poor sir" said Fariz.

"Akh could have been Fariz," joked Mr. Budi.

And they both laughed together.

"I thought Rani was my father's daughter."

"No child, but I consider it appropriate for my own biological daughter" said Mr. Budi while rubbing my head gently.

Hearing Mr. Budi's words I was moved to make my eyes teary.

"Someday Mr. Budi will visit the house.Kakek and father will be very happy.Later I send Fariz's new home address to Pak Budi's phone number."

"Yes son, in shAllah.later all father invite son Rani as well.Definitely grandfather and your father were shocked," said Mr. Budi.

Mr. Budi and Kak Fariz were busy chatting.

While I still look at the rain that fell more and more.

Dreettt.....

I was surprised the bag I was shaking.

I saw the contents inside it turned out that my mobile phone was shaking.

I opened up a lot of missed calls from Reno, Kak Roy and Wirda.

Then I opened the message from Wirda and read it:

Ran, I went to the hospital.

The hospital said you were home.

Ran, where are you now?

From earlier I did not pick up the phone, I Wa you have not opened and reply.

Roy also asked you Ran.

I'm worried you're okay.

After reading the message from Wirda I immediately replied to the message.

Thank God I'm fine Wir.

Currently I am with Mr. Budi taking shelter in the mosque because of very heavy rain accompanied by wind.

Then I press the send button.

A message from Roy later read:

Assalamu'alaikum Ran, where are you now?

Brother is worried about your situation.

Please reply to your sister's message after you read it.

Without a second thought I immediately replied to a message from Roy.

Wa'alaikumussalam sis, sir,

Thank God Rani is fine.

Rani was taking shelter in the mosque with Mr. Budi because the weather was not possible.

Roy doesn't have to worry about Rani.

After I sent you I wanted to put my cell phone in.

However, there was a message from Brother Reno that I ignored without reading it.

"Sir, are we going home now?it looks like the rain will not subside quickly. In addition, the rain is not accompanied by wind.Rani is afraid of Pak Budi in anurain of Kak Reno's family,"I said worriedly.

Glek...

He drank his coffee quickly.

"Yes, son, the milk has not been Rani drinking.Until it's cold, I want Rani to drink first," asked Pak Budi.

"Yes sir, Rani forgot," I said slowly.

"Bismil was bornrahmanirrahim.By mentioning the name of Allah the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful," I said while drinking milk slowly.

"Alhamdulillah," I said after finishing the milk.

"Yes already nak Fariz, my father said back home first yes.Thank you a lot has been allowed to take shelter and for the coffee, dine," said Mr. Budi a little joking.

"Together Mr. Budi.Fariz is waiting for his arrival at home yes sir," replied ustad Fariz.

"Thank you brother.eh..ustad," I said awkwardly.

"Call brother is okay" he said with a smile.

I'm nodding.

Pak Budi and Kak Fariz shake hands.

And we say goodbye.

Me and Mr. Budi got in the car.

"Bismillah" said I and Mr. Budi simultaneously.

I took a deep breath.

Prepare for a new chapter that I will face next at the Suprapto family residence.

Mm-mm....

The car drove through the rain.

I depend on You, O God, in me.
