"Is Celine okay?" lisle asked Kennard who was standing behind him pushing the wheelchair he was in.
They were in the vast Palm Garden backyard. Kennard came home early today and accompanied his wife on a walk.
"He's fine. Only his memory has not recovered." Kennard explains briefly. Not wanting to make Lisle anxious by saying that Celine actually currently looks like an insane person.
"I want to visit him." Lisle felt impatient to meet her best friend. He had told Kennard his wish several times but was always rejected. His leg injury still needs treatment for a while longer.
"Wait for you to be completely healed." Kennard subtly forbade it. Actually he didn't want Lisle to go see the person who had already nearly killed him. It was fortunate that some trees growing on the side of the ravine were holding Lisle's body from falling even deeper. Only, Lisle's legs hit the rocky sides sharply and hard.
"How much longer?"
"It won't be long." Kennard continued to step while pushing the wheelchair.
"You really didn't hurt her, did you?" Lisle still could not believe that her husband could be kind to someone who intended to kill his wife.
Why harm someone who has lost their memory? But Kennard didn't say it.
"Did I ever lie?" kennard said as offended.
"You never lie. But you're very cunning" Lisle said as she bent her lips.
Kennard only laughed faintly at his wife's words. He's not trying to argue with her.
"You can visit him in a week. Don't worry, he's fine."
"I hope so."
Then Lisle remembered something.
"What about my brother? Did you find him?" lisle asked remembering her request one day.
"Almost. Another bit. I need to make sure of one thing." Kennard stopped stepping. His face was suddenly unpredictable. Is it happy or sad or upset.
"really?" Lisle looked up at the face behind her. A charming face was lowered on it.
"Hm." Just an indistinct murmur in response.
"Then what about Bert and auntie?" Lisle. His voice sounded slow. He actually did not dare to ask. If Kennard had forgiven the two by simply removing them to an unfamiliar place. I don't know what happened to the fate of both of them.
"You don't really want to know." Kennard turned the wheelchair, turned back toward the house. He didn't want to say anything about the two men. It's better that way. Better his wife knows nothing.
Lisle doesn't press Kennard anymore. He knows there are things he would rather not know. Not heard. Not seen.

"I want you to do a test with this sample." Kennard gives a brown envelope to Steve, his assistant.
The assistant was astonished by the order. But he also grabbed an envelope that was stretched out to him.
Once again Steve looked at his master asking for affirmation.
"Do a DNA test between the sample inside the envelope and yourself." Kennard paid no heed to the astonishment of his assistant. "Get the result as soon as possible" he continued.
Steve passed from Mr. Kent's office with a lot of question marks on his head.
What does his master want? Whose sample is in this envelope? Has Mr Kent found his parents or relatives who have been separated for a long time?

Lisle looked at Kennard in disbelief as the man told him the test results. Steve is his older brother who disappeared more than twenty years ago.
How could?
Kennard only glimpsed the scene with a grim face. Honestly, he doesn't like it. When he saw his wife's look of disbelief, his feelings got worse.
"You think I'm kidding?" kennard said as he leaned back in his chair. In front of him Steve still could not say anything.
Suddenly the assistant had become his sister-in-law. Kennard doesn't like that fact.
"How come? You didn't make it up, did you?" Lisle looked at Kennard suspiciously.
Kennard suddenly laughed. He felt frustrated for a moment. "I'd rather if your brother was one of my three jerk friends. I don't know why I don't want to play games. You should be pretty satisfied with being Steve's little sister."
Steve was uncomfortable. His master seemed very unhappy. But this is the result anyway. Her sister is the young mistress. Whether this is a disaster or luck. Suddenly he was given the responsibility of being the older brother of the girl who always created trouble for his master. Later, in the future, the two of them had to share that responsibility.
"Mrs…." Steve did not know what to say to the madam who was staring at him.
Lisle's wet eyes made Steve go awry.
"Sister." Lisle walked over under Steve's worried gaze. "Don't call me madam. You can call my name directly."
"But…." Steve gulps. It's too sudden. He couldn't adjust so quickly.
And suddenly Steve's body was hugged. Lisle unhesitatingly immersed herself into Steve's embrace. The man was surprised. He had a glimpse at his master who looked away from the window. Wally, he thought.
"Lisle." Steve said slowly. Patted slowly the shaken shoulders in that burst of crying. Steve couldn't help but be moved. His master's expression completely messed up the feeling that should be present at this moment. He even felt trepidation.
"Maybe we can tell each other another next time," Steve continued trying to push Lisle away from her in a subtle way. "There's something urgent I need to do. There's plenty of time."
Lisle looked up at the face above her. He still won't let go of Steve. To her being the great man's sister was a miracle. I think life feels so perfect. Now he has two amazing men.
"I never thought. But how's the story you got so good." Lisle began to scold, making Steve anxious.
There was something burning in the room.
Steve's eyes met his master's gaze. If only the eyes could kill. Maybe Steve has died many times in these few minutes.
"long story. Maybe we can talk about it next time." Steve tried to talk as slow as possible. Hope Mr. Kent doesn't hear the promise next time.
But in such a quiet room, even Steve could hear his own heartbeat.
"Why not now. I'll listen." Lisle's starting to fuss. He even shook Steve's arm as he spoke. Just like when he persuaded Kennard when he wanted something. He forgot someone who was watching his behavior with a burning jealous look.
"I told you there's something I need to do right now." Indeed Steve was eager to embrace Lisle with both hands, feeling the warmth of brotherhood that had been broken for decades. But this moment is really not right. He should get out of the way soon. He knew the feeling of his master suddenly finding his assistant was his brother-in-law. His superior feeling was stained.
