Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapter 38. The Palm Garden

l“Stop...” Lisle's voice weakly paled.

Kennard had him lying on the couch, smelling him like a wave of hard-to-fight sea water. Each movement of the man's hand only made Lisle feel a new drowning sensation. Lisle's brain was almost drained of consciousness, as Kennard raised his face, making both pairs of their eyes meet.

Who is this man in front of him? She looked as handsome as an angel, thought Lisle in a daze. His eyes were like the deepest abyss, making it fall to the bottom of the darkness.

“Hei!” Kennard rubbed his hands in front of Lisle's face in amusement. The girl's gaze was hard to explain, between being fascinated and filled with confusion. Kennard stopped because he no longer felt the girl's rejection, making him tempted to want to see Lisle's face when filled with the same desire.

Lisle was still silent for a few seconds before her eyes flickered as if she had regained consciousness from something.

“What do you think, Honey?” Kennard stroked Lisle's smooth, flushed cheeks. He wanted this girl so badly that there was a little bit of anger left over from his meeting with Ralph. Although then he still wanted it but his mind became brighter now. This girl still refused.

Lisle blushed with that dear call. There was a corner of his heart that was bubbling like a hot air balloon.

“Ken, I'm going to get up. Tired once.” Lisle said slowly.

“Then keep lying down,” Kennard said. He toyed with Lisle's hair while still half-closing the girl.

“I want to go to room..” Lisle was still trying to keep the man on top of her. This kind of position made him flutter.

Kennard smirked hearing Lisle say that, sounding like a spoiled whimper of a lover. Slowly he got up and woke the girl up with him.

“You go to the room first. I still have something to do.” Kennard went to his desk. The corner of his eyes still had time to catch the shadow of the girl who had hurriedly left the room.

“Lisle, come with me. There's something I need to talk about.” Ralph was suddenly already in front of Lisle. The man spoke in a low voice so as not to disturb the tranquility of the library room.

It was the last hour of college. Lecturers who should fill college hours are not present. Lisle finally went to the library to look for some books. He's in no hurry to get home.

Lisle looked at Ralph for a moment before replying. “I was busy,” and then turned his eyes to the book in front of him. He said there was nothing important they needed to talk about.

“Just a minute. You must be interested. It's about your aunt.” Ralph explained.

Inevitably Lisle looked up from the book he read. “How did you know about my aunt?”

“Cute me!” ralph again.

Finally they walked to a park bench.

“What's with my aunt?” Although Lisle was determined not to know anymore about the woman's news, Lisle asked as well.

“You know where he is now?” Ralph asked back.

“Wrong. Your aunt and cousin are overseas in a small town that's not even on any map. He's exiled. Discarded. I'm not sure you'll be able to see her again for the rest of your life.”

Ralph finally managed to get an important piece of information. There are some things that are out of sync. Lisle said her aunt was sick. Ray, Ralph's man, got the woman out of the country with his son. Someone arranged a trip for them. Surprisingly the place they were headed to was not a common place to go.

About a man named Aaron, Ray had trouble finding his trail. Ralph was only informed that Lisle's aunt was in debt with the man who owned the estate and could not afford to pay after it was due. There was also about Lisle's departure to Black Mountain one night and the commotion at the aunt's house when the girl disappeared. It seemed that Lisle's aunt had made her nephew a guarantee of debts. The rest of Ralph only thought about Mr. Kent's involvement in some events.

“What did mister Kent say to you?” Ralph asked with a probing gaze when he saw that Lisle had said nothing in connection with his explanation.

“No. That is impossible.” Lisle shook weakly. “Aibi is in the hospital in Glassville. Mr. Kent promised to take care of it..”.

“Your aunt is not sick. They tricked you into coming to Glassville.” Ralph could little by little connect a few things. “Master Kent must have known from the beginning. Maybe she does take care of your aunt, but not as you might imagine. He's removing. Mr. Aaron himself has been missing for a week. I'm sure Mr. Kent has done something to her. Lisle, you don't owe him anything. You can go from him.” Ralph could finally feel relieved after saying everything.

“Why can it be like this?” Lisle felt disbelief in everything she heard. Is it true that Mr. Kent caught him with a lie?

“Lisle, I'm really worried about you. If you don't believe me, you can call the hospital.” Ralph tried to touch Lisle's hand but rejected the girl.

“I... I have to go now...” Lisle turned around and passed from before Ralph without saying anything more. His head was filled with complexity as long as he stepped.

Though convinced Ralph wasn't lying, Lisle called a neighbor in Glassville after trying to contact Bert, her cousin but not connected. Elly, the neighbor's name said that if she had never heard of her aunt, Annie was so sick that she needed to get treatment at the hospital. He also said he saw the two leave one day and never come back to this day.

Lisle turned off the connection and was stunned in the passenger seat of the taxi that drove her to Palm Garden. He thought about asking Kennard directly, but then paused. No more need for an explanation. Everything is a trick. Kennard imprisoned him with something that didn't exist.

As soon as he got home and told the driver to wait for him for a while, Lisle rushed to the room. The greeting of Thomas who offered him lunch was ignored. He packed his little things into a suitcase. Before leaving the room, he remembered something. Lisle took out Kennard's new phone and a gold card from his bag and placed it on the table beside the bed.  After that he looked at the entire room and his eyes condensed. He felt strange because he did not feel happy leaving this place.

Thomas almost jumped his eyeballs when he saw Lisle coming down the stairs dragging his little suitcase with a gloomy face.

“Nona. What was? Miss where are you going?”  Thomas had almost reached for his phone when he asked that.

“Tell Mr. Kent, I'm going home to the old apartment. Also tell him that our deal is no longer valid.” Lisle sped her way out of the house, entered the taxi waiting for her and disappeared along with the departure of the car.

Thomas was stunned for a moment with a cell phone taped to his ear. Across the call, Steve kept saying ‘hallo’ without an answer.

“Hallo, Thomas. What's up?” ask Steve after repeating.

“Steve, tell Mr. Kent, miss Lisle just left with her things. He said he would return to his old apartment.” Thomas' voice sounded anxious.

“Why can it be?” Steve is looking for clarity.

“Nona Lisle says, if the deal doesn't work anymore.” Thomas felt extremely sweaty inside the refrigerated room. Mr. Kent would have been very angry to hear this news.
