Lisle scooped her lunch out as a sip slowly. He glanced at Kennard who looked to have returned neat and excited. Then back down on the plate in front of him. She felt limp after one embarrassing session in the break room. Kennard ate it on the highest floor of this building with an open glass wall. What if someone happens to point binoculars in this direction. Or maybe a satellite in the sky caught their fight. How about….
"What's that look like?" Kennard reprimanded Lisle who became quiet. He knew his wife did not accept his treatment just now and constantly protested about the open glass.
"You're annoying." Lisle sulked and put down her spoon. "How about someone peeking in the distance?"
Kennard couldn't help but laugh. "Darling, the glass is not translucent. No one's gonna peek. This is the tallest building in the city. Where can one see all the way here."
Did ya? inner Lisle hesitated a little. Her lips are still bent. Seems unhappy.
"Something you'd like to say." Kennard interrupted his wife's silence. Lisle had been invited to the office if he felt bored at home. But the girl refused.
"Repeat…."
"Humm?" Kennard mimicked Lisle's indistinct mutterings. He was done with his lunch.
"I didn't see Celine today. His phone is also inactive. The apartment guard said he had not been home for several days. I think something happened to him. Can you get someone to look for him?" Lisle finally told Kennard the problem.
"The Bullies?"
"Ken." Lisle doesn't like the nickname Kennard gave her best friend. "He's my best friend. That's why he cares about me."
"Do I have to find all the missing people? Doesn't this town have a police station?" Kennard frowned his fingers. Seems unconcerned.
"You want me to complain to the police station?" Lisle asked back in annoyance.
Kennard didn't say. The man got up from his seat and went back to the desk.
Lisle went up to follow her husband. He stood next to the chair and tugged at Kennard's sleeves.
"Come on! You said you could find anything and anyone you wanted to find" Lisle whined at her husband. "Celine hasn't been home in days. What if something happens to her?"
Kennard tidied up the pile of documents that had been strewn across his desk. Lisle's rejection of him had made the document scatter to the floor of the room. The man grinned.
"What?" Lisle looked at that evil smile. He stopped shaking Kennard's arm. Look at the man suspiciously. Her husband is often difficult to guess.
Kennard. "It's nothing."
"You're smiling." Lisle looked at her husband with an accusatory look.
"Why smile then?"
"You're suspicious." Lisle blatantly.
Kennard. He rarely smiles. I can laugh after this. His wife is sometimes very honest. Even from his face, Kennard can guess the contents of this girl's head. Lisle was curious about what Kennard was thinking.
"What if we make an exchange?" kennard.
"Exchange? Meanin?" Lisle was getting suspicious.
"If I manage to find Celine, you have to take the initiative first." Kennard pulled his back to the backrest, staring at his wife who was standing at the side. Next to his arm rested his charming face.
"A... What do you mean?" Lisle's face flushed. He tries not to think dirty.
"You know what I mean. Wasn't it always me who took the initiative to start," Kennard said with a full smile.
Lisle was silent for a moment. Now his face is all red. Kennard is a monster.
"You're a pervert." Lisle took off her grip on Kennard's arm. He was about to move away but Kennard held him back.
"I think the exchange is fair enough. It's not something that's hard to do." Kennard pulled his wife's arm making it back close. "Hows it? Tell me you agree and you'll be able to get word out about your best friend soon."
"A. I'll think about it first." Lisle. Initiate first? They had just gotten married, and Lisle was still feeling embarrassed.
"You're outrageous!" Lisle's upset. Kennard was trying to make her anxious.
"I'm just trying to remind you. Especially if you say it's been a few days. Something could have happened to me by now…."
"I agree!" Lisle cut off her husband's words. Kennard managed to push him. "A.. I agree," Lisle repeated as she turned away from that triumphant smile.
"Deal." Kennard said.
"I wish I could hear back about Celine as soon as possible." Lisle walked over to the sofa and grabbed her bag.
Kennard watched Lisle who was already walking towards the exit. "Are you leaving?"
But Lisle did not care about her husband's reprimand.

A few days before….
Celine noticed the river ripples down there. The surface reflects the lights along the bridge but not enough to see the color of the water. It's still black under the night sky.
The man said he would meet him at the bridge at exactly nine p.m.
Why should it be in a quiet place like this? Nightly anyway.
Celine didn't want to think about it.
Meeting a stranger, in a place where people rarely pass by, at nine in the night, Celine knew it was risky. Danger-filled.
But his heart was currently so empty. And die.
He did not know hoping it was like standing on the edge of a ravine without a handle. Suddenly he fell into it. No one pushed. It is he who steps forward.
Steve, such a nice guy at first, Celine thought. He could even see that irony smile. It turns out that everything she does is connected to her best friend, Lisle who is now a young mistress. Had he not been friends with the girl, would Steve lend a helping hand? Maybe not even glancing.
Like a flower tree that must die before sprouting. Celine hasn't even had a dream. The man suddenly made a distance.
Steve came to Celine's mother's funeral. He said he was very busy. Celine tried to understand. But he was also heartbroken.
It shouldn't be like this. He shouldn't have called Steve for help. Now it seems that the man realized something.
A dark-colored car stopped behind Celine. The girl woke up from her daydream and turned away. Two men came out from both sides of the car. The alarm on Celine's head sounded. He stepped to the opposite side of the two people who came closer.

Lisle arrived at the Palm Garden feeling exhausted. He's still trying to call Celine's number but her phone is still not activated. Not yet had the girl closed her eyes, her phone again gave a calling tone. Lisle saw a foreign number plastered on the phone screen. A little hesitant about receiving that unknown call.
"Hallo?"
"Hallo. Lisle?" A not so unfamiliar voice entered his hearing.
Lisle slightly forgot about the voice but also felt familiar with it. "Who?" he was a little scared. A name flashed through his mind a moment later.
"Hey, have you forgotten this cousin of yours? Is it because you're married to a rich man and then you forget your only relative?" That was Bert's voice. The slacker youth, the last cousin Lisle knew he still had.
