"Celine?!" Lisle half hysterically mentioned the name because she really did not expect to meet Celine at that place. "How did you get here?"
Celine looks pale but not as surprised as her best friend. He just looked at Lisle with a flat look. Almost without expression. "I. someone took me," said the girl.
Lisle is in a hurry. She thought Celine had been kidnapped too. So he blocked his best friend's hand and pulled it to a sheltered place of ornamental plants.
"Are you trying to escape too? Oh, thank goodness. We need to get out of here before those people realize we've escaped."
Celine seemed to be unconcerned by Lisle's words. But then he asked too. "You made it out of that room? How-to? Wasn't the door locked and someone was standing guard outside?
Lisle felt strange for a moment. How did Celine know exactly how she was? But when he remembered that the girl too might have experienced the same thing, he did not think too much about it. They should hurry anyway. "Just a little luck. Never mind. Tell me later. We need to get out of here." Then Celine's hand pulled towards the back gate.
Celine finally followed what Lisle did, running as far away from the castle as she could. They passed through the dark grove of dense trees, slacking endlessly avoiding the open. But there are not many open places. The area at the back of the castle is a dense forest that leads to a ravine. And that's where they stopped.
Lisle leaned against a large tree while still sniggering. Celine's circumstances aren't much different. The girl supported her body by laying her hands on a tree. He turned his back on Lisle and continued so for a while.
"Maybe we should take another path," Lisle said as soon as she managed to catch her breath. He recovered faster from his fatigue than Celine.
Celine said nothing. He kept silent, making Lisle feel strange. The girl should have talked more as usual. After so many things happened, Celine would definitely be very curious. Lisle herself still kept a lot of questions for the girl. For example, where did he disappear during these few days? Was he kidnapped by the same man. But how did Celine get into trouble with Bert? They don't know each other.
Suddenly Celine turned to face Lisle. "There is no other way," he said. An odd smile appeared on his pale face.
Lisle. Celine was not only strange but also seemed like someone else. "You mean, we won't be able to leave this place?"
"Of course you can. I can get out of this place. But you're not." A gun suddenly appeared in Celine's hand and was aimed at Lisle. I don't know where the girl got it.
Lisle recognized the deadly thing as belonging to her husband that she had borrowed. For a few seconds Lisle was in disbelief. Especially when he saw Celine's serious face.
"The line? You.. You must be kidding me, right?" Lisle stepped back slowly. A cold sweat suddenly soaked his face.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" Celine said slowly. There was a foreign glint in his eyes. A kind of flame of hatred that suddenly lit up in the cold darkness
Lisle. He wants to not believe. The whole world can be hostile to him. Hated her. But Celine will never be in it. They're friendly. Although their friendship was not long, but he believed Celine was not the person before him. Has the devil possessed this girl? Or was he someone else with a face similar to Celine's?
"But why?"
Celine took a step forward. Lisle took a step back, closer to the edge of the abyss.
"Why? I'm just a little bored with all the crap about friendship." Celine's face became grim. He remembered his mother, his sister. He remembered his uncle and aunt. He remembered Steve. Then his heart beat harder. Then his heart was like something was slicing.
"A... What do you mean? Did I make a mistake?" Lisle could not remember something she had done that would be able to make Celine turn out like this, pointing a firearm at him. Is Celine really going to kill him? Lisle remembered, pinching her too Celine never.
"I'll stand by your side" Lisle said despite not understanding what the girl was talking about. But he will defend his best friend if there is a problem. " I'll defend you even if everyone blames you."
Celine's laughter. The girl laughed so hard that she let out tears. But his expression was truly indistinguishable between laughing or crying.
The hand holding the weapon even swayed carried away by his body movements.
After the sound of her laughter subsided, Celine straightened her hand again, clasping her gun tightly. His face became cold. Pale. Bleakly.
"Stand by my side, you say?" Celine blurted cynically. "Then where were you when I needed you? When my mother was sick. When my mother's body was put in the hole. You sent someone foreign to me. And that someone actually felt disgusted to be near me. But because of you, she was forced to be with me for a while."
Lisle covered her mouth with both hands trying to hold back the scream that was about to come out. What Celine said was beyond her expectations. He doesn't know at all. And don't understand. Who is Celine?
"But I don't know. You didn't call me…."
"I called Steve, but he wouldn't give me my message. He took the decision to help me and left me when my mother died." Celine said bitterly. "But he's nothing to me…."
For a moment Lisle tried to digest everything. Steve hasn't told her about what happened to Celine. He understands if Steve tries to handle everything himself. The assistant did not want to interrupt their honeymoon. But Celine sounded very hurt. He should have been by his best friend's side, not Steve.
Steve's. Does Celine like that guy who doesn't talk much? Steve has a pretty big attraction for girls.
Lisle looked at Celine who looked injured. His heart ached to see that in just a few days his best friend had changed a lot.
"I'm sorry about your mother…."
"He's dead." Celine menukas fast. "You've never even met her."
Judging from any angle, Lisle knew Celine could not blame anyone for her mother's death. But one thing Lisle understood, the girl was grieving. So sad.
"I'm so sorry."
And Celine sobbed until her shoulders were shaken. Lisle tried to take advantage of the opportunity to get close or if possible snatch the weapon in her hand. But Celine suddenly became wary. His tears were still drenching his cheeks, but his eyes that were originally filled with grief were now burning with hatred.
"Don't come any closer!" Celine warned.
Lisle stopped her movement of stepping. "Celine, you don't know what you're doing. That thing is very dangerous."
"I know what I'm doing. And don't worry, I also know how to use this weapon. Therefore, if you don't want the bullet from this weapon to hurt you, you better try your other luck. Jump over. Maybe you're lucky enough not to die right away."
