Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapters 84. Shopia Anxiety

It's been over a week of Shopia fidgeting. Ever since his meeting with Sally in the city prison, Shopia kept thinking about the girl's words. Everything Sally said sounded crazy. But the girl looked fine. He behaves like a normal person.

Is there anything the girl says is just her hallucination, for she hates Lisle and Mr Kent too much? Until he fantasized about killing the ruler. Doesn't that sound impossible?

But what if what Sally said was true? What if there's a group of people or someone who's trying to destroy Mr Kent? Will he let and keep this secret or stand behind them all?

"No. No." Shopia moves restlessly in bed. Flipping through the body, looking for comfort position but not finding it. He's getting more agitated. If what Sally said wasn't the result of her over-imagining imagination, it was a big secret. Death conspiracy. And that freaked him out

Knowing a secret is not always fun. Shopia doesn't know what to do not become this mysterious. Finally he decided to wake up.

Time has shown eleven o'clock at night. Not too late. At this usual hour, his father, Mr. Harfey, is still awake in his study. There is always something he does. The company business is endless for Shopia's father. Naturally, if his mother's family used to receive his father's proposal which only came from an ordinary family.

Shopia got out of bed, got out of her room and walked into her father's study. The lights in the room are still on. Shopia's guess is not wrong. His father is seen sitting behind his large work desk, pursuing scattered files. The man raised his face while fixing the location of his glasses as he sensed the presence of someone in the room.

"Shopia. What was? You still haven't slept?" greet his father while tidying up some papers, making it a low stack.

"I can't sleep. Something is troubling my mind. Do you have a minute?" Shopia was sitting on a couch near the desk.

Mr. Harfey put down the stationery in his hand and took off his glasses. He spouted his forehead over the base of his nose, trying to reduce the sense of dizziness due to reading for too long.

"of course. What do you want to talk about?" ask Mr. Harfey. He saw his daughter looked tired. And not calm. He tried to guess the source of his daughter's anxiety.

"A week ago I went to see someone in the city jail." Shopia began to tell stories.

"Hm, Sally. That girl, right?" Mr. Harfey guessed.

Shopia was no wonder her father knew some of the things she was doing. So he nodded.

"Concerning with an enemy lord of Kent is tantamount to declaring enmity with him. Stop that stupid thing!" His father had known about the visit but had not warned his daughter.

Shopia looked up at her father. "I didn't mean that. I didn't know that Lisle had a relationship with Mr. Kent, so I wanted to teach him a lesson."

"But you're the one who learned the lesson at last" interrupted Mr. Harfey while nodding.

Shopia did not respond to her father's comments. He refused to admit it.

"Sally told me something that scared me" Shopia continued. "I think he's crazy. But he looks sane."

Then Shopia repeated Sally's words at the time. Mr. Harfey listened seriously. He was not surprised by his daughter's story. Mr. Kent must have had many enemies who wanted his destruction. If her daughter's story was true, maybe she could take a little advantage.

"Do you think that's true? What's the girl saying isn't just her hallucination?" Shopia looked curious.

"Dad said forget the girl's words. You never heard of it. The rest of you will take care of. Maybe the Harfeys can take advantage of this." Mr. Harfey repeated his words a moment ago. He did not want his daughter to be careless and spread the story to the wrong person.

"And remember, keep your attitude. Especially that girl named Lisle. I think something will happen soon. Be careful to act." This time Mr. Harfey gave his daughter a warning. He didn't want the spoiled girl to misstep.

Island XXX

Ever since the incident in the training arena when Lisle made Andra who was at level 7 training fall, the view of the XXX islanders on her changed. Now they seem to be getting more and more disinclined at him. Not only was she Kent's mistress, but it was because it turned out that their boss' meek little wife could turn all around a tigress. If at first the girl looks like a pet cat who likes to sulk, but when she is angry even Mr. Kent will be bullied all out.

In the second week, in addition to regular physical exercises and repeating some of the martial techniques Kennard taught, Lisle began practicing using weapons.

At first Lisle looked nervous as she touched the small but heavy object. He trembled feeling the coldness of the thing he grasped. Remember when the muzzle touched his temple.

"Having the target requires correct breathing, strength to stabilize the shot and the ability to take into account wind direction and speed." Kennard fixed Lisle's body position while holding the weapon. He saw that his fingers were not calm.

"Focus!" Her husband's loud voice that reminded her instead made Lisle jump.

Kennard knitted his brows and put the headphones into his wife's ears.

Kennard had set an example by shooting a target across the field. From the three shots, everything was right about the center of the target. Then he shot again at a moving target. All the shots also hit the target.

Lisle was of course amazed by the ability of the man who was now her husband. Like in the movies, Kennard looks cool with his precision aiming at the target. But of course Lisle did not clap. He even sneered and refrained from looking amazed.

"Basic showing off." Lisle was grumbling.

Why did Kennard show his ability to shoot moving targets? He just needs to model how to hold a gun and shoot silent targets several times. It was impossible for Lisle to directly aim her weapon at the moving target on her first practice.

Kennard paid no heed to his wife's grunts. He was getting used to his wife's obnoxious behavior. What Lisle said was true. He's showing off. He wanted his wife to admire and praise him like one day when Lisle clapped on the edge of a shooting range just because someone managed to get his entire bullet to a moving target. None of the shots hit the center of the target.

"Start!" kennard exclaimed as he coded Lisle whose hearing was tightly shut.

Lisle took a breath and prepared. His eyes looked straight ahead, trying to focus on the target.
