Chapter 6. Interception in the Hallway

Four men emerged from the darkness. They look disgusting. The gloomy lighting along the passage made their faces not too clearly visible. Lisle held Daisy's hand firmly. Body shaking.

“Si... Who are you? Get out of our way..!” Daisy was obviously scared too. Knees wobbly. Lisle's grip on his arm added to the tension.

Some of them chuckled at the terrified prey.

“Nona-nona don't have to be afraid. We just invite the Misses to have fun with us.” The skinny one like a lidi opens his voice.  There was an alcohol smell spreading in the air around.

“Isn't this two ladies handing out brochures at the crossroads there? Oh, blimey! Both are really pretty. Whichever one I want.” The big tall one with a rough beard smirked happily.

There were other calls to agree.

“ How is this, Daisy?”

“ Run in three...” Daisy's whispers watered down without looking.

“But my leg hurts. I don't think I'll be able to..”.

“One...” Without caring about Lisle's complaint, Daisy starts counting. Unknowingly they had actually stepped back widening the distance.

“Daisy...” Lisle's voice was stuck in her throat. He let go of his hand. His heart is beating faster.

The bullies are also moving forward. The faint grin on each face made Lisle nauseous.

“Two...” Daisy continued. “My leg is also sick. But if not run it can be ascertained not only our legs will hurt.”

“Nona, my house is close from here. Just a few tens of meters..” Someone with a hoarse voice tried to extend a hand.

“Three. Run!”

The two girls turned their bodies together and took long strides. The two also simultaneously screamed suddenly because in the opposite direction appeared other figures.

Moments before the incident in the hallway....

Kennard came home early. There's a business banquet later tonight because he wants to get ready first. Steve was driving the car at a speed that was penetrating the crowd that was not how much. At an intersection he saw a girl who intercepted a pedestrian with a leaflet in hand. Steve glanced at the rearview mirror and found his master who was also looking at the girl.

“Stop a minute!” Kennard. His eyes could not be seen across the street.

The girl who handed out the brochure looked exhausted and sat down next to the other girl who had been sitting on the sidewalk first. The two engaged in a conversation for a moment then got up and walked over with one of the other girls wriggling in the arm.

“Follow them!” Kennard gave the order.

The car moved slowly following the departure of the two girls. After passing through several buildings, they turned in a small hallway with gloomy lighting.

Kennard who saw that narrowed his gaze. He saw some suspicious movements from a distance. Although not very clear but certainly something is not right.

Kennard hissing. “Damn it!” and rushed to open the car door and slammed it until it made a loud noise. The man half ran across the street.

Steve who saw that frowned. Her master has been hard to guess lately. It seemed like the girl was carrying a different influence. Kennard doesn't usually care too much about other people's lives.

The car was parked and Steve rushed over. As soon as they arrived at the end of the hall, they saw the two girls being chased by a group of people. The two who turned around suddenly suffocated to see Kennard and Steve who were like standing in the way.

The bright light from the street behind Kennard made his tall figure look gloomy. Lisle didn't recognize him right away. He was just left horrified to think that the path for them to escape had been closed.

The two girls ended up just standing in confusion without knowing where to step.

“Hey, you guys are there. You better not interfere in our affairs with these ladies. Just find another way. It's too crowded here.” Someone among the pursuers tried to drive Kennard and his assistant away.

There was a hint of hope slipping in the hearts of Lisle and Daisy. The two people who seemed to be blocking earlier were not friends of the pursuers. At least they can try to ask for help.

“Master, help us. They... they try to be insolent...” Lisle spoke first. Although they did not dare to try to get close to the two men.

Kennard stepped forward. A slight smile on his lips was invisible.

“Of course. I won't let anyone bother my woman.”

Lisle remembered the voice. The voice was so alluring and capable of weakening Lisle's joints instantly.

Why did he have to meet this guy again? Why would he ask the same person for help?

Lisle swallowed nervously. Little did he begin to get used to this gloomy light. Although slightly glared by the light that was brighter than the road, he was starting to be able to recognize the towering figure. After all who else would have considered him a girlfriend if not that guy?

“You.... How did you get here?” Lisle's trouble making a sound.

At least he can be a little relieved now. Kennard helped him yesterday. This time even though he did not want this meeting, but this man said he would not let anyone disturb his woman.

“Is she really your lover?” Daisy next to him touched her friend's arm. His eyes narrowed trying to see more clearly the face of the person who referred to Lisle as his woman. He thinks it's cool.

Lisle pretended not to hear. To be honest, he was embarrassed. Somehow he will have to explain. Now he doesn't want to talk about it first.

“I can always feel if miss fairy is in danger.” Said Kennard deliberately calling ‘nona peri’ with a slightly seductive voice.

Lisle's face flushed. Fortunately, no one noticed. But Daisy next to him coughed at the call. It looks like a call baby.

There was a furious growl from the impatient pursuer.

“I don't care what your relationship with these two ladies is. For sure they will accompany us tonight for fun!” Back the skinny one who spoke. Seemed upset by this disturbance. He stepped forward and tried to reach out to Lisle's arm.

His hand had not touched him yet, he had fallen back. A loud kick that was so fast in coming made him slam into the ground and caused him to vomit blood.

Lisle and Daisy are suffocating. Both were pushed out of the hallway.

“Wait there!” kennard's orders are in Lisle's ears.

While Steve was just watching the show without any intention of helping. It was not usual for his master to intervene on his own like this. Kennard doesn't like to dirty his hands especially just for this small thing. It seemed that her master wanted to show off in front of the fairy miss.

And those cockroaches are no match for their masters at all. Steve had seen Kennard at the barracks of five gunmen. The gnaw fell in just a few empty-handed Kennard gestures.

Someone tried to wake the skinny guy. The other two attacked Kennard fiercely. Kennard just stood upright waiting for the attack quietly. He didn't seem to be making any preparations. But as soon as the attacker's hands nearly touched the lethal part of his body, only a blink of an eye moved and the attackers were already lying on the ground. They only felt the wind of the attack and did not understand how they could be thrown.

“Your boyfriend is great!” Daisy whispered making Lisle grimace. But he has no intention of arguing.

Lisle saw the man who had come with Kennard. He recognized her as the person who was also with Kennard at the club the other day. Steve seemed to be watching the fight. Doesn't seem worried at all.

There is another who is still standing. He hesitated to follow in his partner's footsteps. After a while he turned around and ran away.

Kennard turned to face his three spectators. That was when her charming face was clearly visible.

“Gosh! Where did you meet such a handsome angel?” Daisy elbowed Lisle's waist.
