Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapter 46. Mr. Kent is away

Lisle pinched her forehead. His head hurts. Not only that, but his legs also hurt. William, the driver several times glanced at the rearview mirror. He looks a little worried. Just then when he picked up, the girl looked tired and a little pale. The man thought that his master would not like it if he saw this.

Besides, why is this lady struggling to work? Isn't the master not short on money? William kept thinking throughout the trip.

As soon as she arrived at the Palm Garden, Lisle felt impatient to lie down on that comfortable bed. He just took off his shoes and splashed on the mattress and pillow. It feels very relieved to be able to straighten the body after a few hours of continuing to walk from floor to floor. Without realizing it, Lisle fell asleep.

Thomas woke her up when dinner came. He was a little worried about having to knock on the door a few times but did not hear the girl's words. Did he faint again? William said that the lady looked very tired.

Anxiously, Thomas contacted his master.

Meanwhile, Lisle had a dream about something when her phone rang. He grabbed the bag lying next to his pillow and searched inside. The name of the caller made the drowsiness that still filled his eyes instantly disappear.

“Hallo..

“What are you doing?” Kennard's cold voice instantly invaded Lisle's hearing.

“I... It looks like I fell asleep earlier.” Lisle's mind wasn't completely clear yet.

“Now it's dinner time. Thomas kept knocking on the door. She thinks you fainted.”

“Oh...” Lisle heard a knock on the door and the sound of a pelyan head calling out to her. “I didn't hear it...”.

Why call? You still in the office? Aren't you having dinner at home? Lisle wanted to ask but felt unworthy.

“Quick down.” Kennard ruled with a voice that frightened Lisle.

“I. I take a shower first..” Lisle felt silly saying that. Does Mr. Kent care what he's been bathing yet.

“What is the work so tiring that it makes you fall asleep without having time to clean yourself first?” Kennard's voice sounded probing.

“Not really. I'm just sleepy..” Lisle.

“Hm, then quickly shower and eat. After that, go back to sleep. I don't want to hear you get sick as long as I'm gone,” Kennard said in a low voice.

Eh, leaving? Lisle's surprised. Whither?

“You.... go? Where?” Finally Lisle couldn't bear to not ask.

“There is a little business outside. Just a few days. Don't forget what I said. If indeed the job makes you tired, better just stop.” Kennard closed the connection.

Lisle was speechless still with the phone stuck to her ear. He should be happy that he won't see the man for a few days, but somehow his departure is disturbing.

“Nona, your dinner is ready. Is Miss going down now?” Thomas's voice came from behind the door. He heard the voice of the girl talking to his master on the phone.

Lisle rolled around on the mattress to the part Kennard often occupied. It felt quite pleasant, thought Lisle ignoring the uncomfortable part of her heart.

But that little bit of discomfort was bothering Lisle after dinner. And it became until the next day. He was still going to college and work and was getting used to the Diamond Group office atmosphere. He could still resist the seduction of some male co-workers and a hint of jealousy from female co-workers. But returning to the Palm Garden which only contained the servants made Lisle's heart feel empty.

“Thomas, since sir is not around, can I stay at my apartment first?” Lisle looked lethargic at breakfast. It's the second day since Kennard left, Lisle doesn't like to admit she's lost.

“Nona, you should ask the master first. Fear you will be mad big again like before.” Thomas was sad to see the food that had been prepared since the early hours was only stared at by the girl without being touched. He wanted to report to his master but was afraid to backfire on him for not serving this lady.

“I'm afraid..” Lisle slapped her face at the dining table after sliding the breakfast plate from before her made Thomas and another servant look at each other.

“Nona just asked, why should I be afraid?” Besides you like miss, Thomas's mind is anxious.

“I don't know. I never called her. Who knows it might bother him. Isn't he very busy?” Lisle complained.

It felt like Thomas wanted to yell at the girl in front of him, had you walked into the shareholders' meeting room even once, Mr. Kent would not have been angry. Why are you worried about bothering him with a phone call?

But Thomas just sighed trying to spread his heart. This one miss does often make people upset without her knowing. Even the master alone was often seen holding back emotions when facing this girl but could not vent his anger like in others.

“Why don't Miss just try it?” Thomas advised politely.

“Entahlah. Maybe later..” Lisle lifted her face from the table, pulled back the breakfast plate in front of her and started scooping reluctantly.

Today is Lisle's third day at work. He became not too excited. The steps are slow, not rushed as usual when delivering some documents to the destination department. The girl looked like she was daydreaming while walking. When he got into an elevator he didn't notice someone already in it.

“Lisle?” The voice of a man rebuking him.

Lisle turned to the person beside her. His stomach became nauseous. Dean seemed to be showing off his smile which Lisle found to be completely unattractive. He had no idea how any girl would be willing to date this guy. Without warning from some of his co-workers he would try to get as far away from Dean as possible.

Unfortunately Lisle didn't know that Dean was in the same elevator. And they're just the two of them in this square thing.

Lisle only nodded slightly in response to Dean's reprimand then looked back at the elevator door. He hoped that this elevator would move at the speed of light and arrive at his designated department in an instant.

“Hey, I didn't see you coming home with someone these two days. Didn't your girlfriend pick you up?” Dean began the conversation with overflowing curiosity. Yesterday afternoon he pecked at the girl on his way home. Lisle was seen walking out of the Diamond Group office yard and turning to the right of the street. There Lisle is still seen turning again to the side of the building Jill & Jo. Dean knew there was a small road connecting to the big road back there.

Dean had no idea, Lisle just stood by the side of the building waiting for William to pick her up. Suppose Dean would watch for a moment, he would see a car far more luxurious than his stop and the girl he was watching climb into the car.
