Ralph was aware that he had bet too big for Lisle. But the thought of the girl being with Mr. Kent had driven him crazy from the very beginning he knew it.
Lisle. Lisle. Lisle. Are you really as entangled with that demonic charm as most girls? Or is there something that forces you to stay with him?
The man gripped the steering firmly until his knuckles turned white. He wanted the day to pass quickly and heard from Ray as soon as possible.

Kennard just talked to someone on his cell phone.
“Someone is trying to investigate about your relationship and miss Lisle.” The man at the end of the connection tells.
“Who?” Kennard asked in a cold tone. I don't understand that someone is interested in this. She thought one of her best friends was playing around because seeing from the reaction of the three when she first saw Lisle. The accusatory look at them at that moment made Kennard a little pleased. At least they had mistakenly thought that Lisle was a cheap girl.
“Ralph Caldwin.”
Kennard made a cynical smile on his face. Apparently her little girl had made another one of the successors of the five renowned families of Black Mountain fall in love. He became very interested in getting to know the stupid guy who tried to play around with him. All this time he turned a blind eye to everything the families did including his three best friends As long as he did not rub against his interests, he would assume they did not exist. But now....
The man lifted his face from the pile of files on his desk. His gaze immediately fell on the tiny figure in the corner of the room who was seriously working on something. With a notebook on her lap, Lisle seemed unaware that she was being noticed. His lentic fingers deftly typed many words. Kennard had heard the girl's complaints about her college assignments piling up.
The time on the digital clock on his desk had shown the number eleven past a few minutes. Kennard got up from his seat and moved closer to Lisle.
“What's still a lot?” kennard asked as he sat next to the girl.
“He uh.” Lisle only answered in short affirmations without lifting her face from the focus on the screen.
“Can't it continue tomorrow? It's almost midnight,” Kennard said again. This girl has been struggling with all her college assignments since Kennard arrived this afternoon. Thomas, his servant, even told him that Lisle had been looking busy since coming home from college. He just stopped for dinner and went back to work.
“Cannot. It should be handed over tomorrow. Otherwise I won't have the chance to graduate in this course,” Lisle said seriously. He did not notice the frown on the forehead of the man sitting next to him the moment he heard his reply.
“Hm, maybe I can ask the lecturer to postpone it again for a few days.” Kennard muttered as to himself.
Lisle fell silent to hear Kennard's words. The movement of his fingers on the notebook stopped. He turned to Kennard while saying, “Actually for tomorrow's task just a little more. Not until half an hour is done. There are many other tasks. I can work on it tomorrow.”
This man always acted as he wished. They have power. Lisle was sure that if Kennard wanted to, he could even get the lecturer to give Lisle good grades without doing the chores. Isn't the Diamond Ritz a university built by a foundation belonging to the Kent family's ancestors?
“Good. I'll keep you company until you finish it.” Kennard straightened his back on the back of the sofa while closing his eyes.
“I'm not sleepy yet. Just a little tired.” Kennard doesn't seem to want to leave. She leaned her head against Lisle's shoulder.
Not sleepy but why close your eyes? Lisle grumbled in her heart. He felt unable to concentrate with Kennard's head leaning on his shoulder. His masculine scent was clearly smelled.
“Lisle, I heard someone likes you on campus.” Kennard suddenly spoke while still closing his eyes. His voice sounded as if he was asking something ordinary.
“Eh?” Lisle almost turned to the owner of the voice if she did not remember so close their faces.
How could this Mr Kent have come to the conclusion that there was someone who liked Lisle? Did Kennard tell people to watch and investigate?
“Do you not know?” kennard asked so he did not hear Lisle's obvious reaction.
“Of course not. I've been in college for over a month. Maybe someone likes me. After all no one will like a poor girl like me..” Lisle recalled that only people from wealthy families could attend college there. Maybe someone would want to look at him. Lisle never thought that one of them would be her boyfriend.
“I like you.” Kennard quickly replied.
Lisle didn't think Kennard would say that. He thought he would no longer be able to concentrate on his duties. Is Kennard's love a man's love for a woman? Or just like the toys he just had?
“I have to print this...” Lisle tried to divert the conversation. “Can you shift?”
There was an indistinct murmur, but the man raised his head also from Lisle's shoulder. The girl got up while trying to avoid the man's gaze then started printing on a table in the room.
“Does no one say they like you yet?” Kennard's still chasing. He himself did not understand why this bike could be.
“Celine once said like me.” Lisle smiled to joke with those words, but then hurriedly corrected her words when she saw Kennard's serious face. “Sorry...”.
After all, why would this man suddenly ask such a strange thing? Does he suspect anything? Can't be ‘kan because Ralph then invited him to dinner? That was Lisle rejecting it. Regarding something Ralph wanted to talk about, Lisle could not guess what the man wanted to say. It cannot be an expression of liking. Lisle shook her head unconsciously.
All the movements of Lisle can not be separated from Kennard's attention. He became convinced that this girl was not lying. It's just that he was wondering why Ralph was so enthusiastic about investigating his relationship with Lisle. If only the girl knew that someone had known about their relationship, I would know what her reaction would be like.

Lisle heaved a sigh of relief as soon as the last class was over. He packed all his writing utensils and books into a bag and rushed out of the room. Actually she wanted to meet Celine, but her best friend's girl class ended early. She also did not expect Celine to wait for her because Lisle knew Celine would rush to her workplace. Lisle limply left the Celine class that had been empty. He deliberately took a path through there earlier.
He no longer took a hasty step. With a slow drainage of the corridor that began to recede from the crowd to a turn toward the park behind the campus. Someone suddenly pulled his arm and carried him to the side that was not easily visible to the passers-by. Lisle was almost suffocated if she didn't recognize that person immediately.
