Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapter 39. The anger of Mr. Kent

“You where?” Kennard called Lisle on his way home. Today he returned to the Palm Garden early. Steve had told her about Lisle's departure from home.

“I'm in my old apartment..” Lisle was afraid to hear Kennard's tone like that. Although not too long with her, Lisle was able to recognize the anger in the voice.

“Back here. I'll have Steve pick you up.”

By then the car that Steve was driving had arrived at the yard of the house. Kennard got out of the car and stepped inside the house while still talking on his cell phone.

“I don't want to. The deal means nothing. You lied to me. I don't owe you anything.” Lisle denied Kennard's orders.

“Really? You don't owe me anything?” Kennard entered his room and felt his anger growing more and more so as he looked at his cell phone and gift card placed on the table. Little of the girl's stuff was also nothing left.

“What...what do you mean?” Lisle stuttered in an uneasy feeling.

“You know I mean.” Kennard stood by the large window and looked out.

“It.... That's what you mean there's nothing in the deal.” Lisle remembered that Kennard had saved her many times. He knew he would never be able to repay this debt until at any time, but Kennard's actions that had forced him to sign the stupid deal were completely unacceptable to him. She felt so silly not being able to resist every kiss and touch of the man just because she felt possessed. Fortunately, he has not lost his purity.

“Tap it's a debt. So stop arguing and come back here!” Kennard raised his voice.

Lisle's heart seemed to be about to jump out when he heard that commanding tone. Kennard never spoke out loud to her. During this time the man tends to treat her gently.

“You did save me and I thank you for that. If you think that's a debt I have to pay, I refuse it. I didn't ask for it. I didn't ask you to help me...” And Lisle's eyes widened as she recalled something.

“O yes?” There was a snide tone from across.

“I did ask you to help me out at the club. That's all..” Lisle recalled their first meeting, second meeting, third meeting. Somehow his chest felt claustrophobic by that memory.

“I don't care what your stupid brain thinks. Come back here today or I'll do something that will eventually make you come back too with regret.” Kennard cut off the phone. He knew this would happen. Only he didn't think it would be this fast. The man from the Caldwell family did not count.

While Steve has arrived at the front yard of Lisle's apartment. He got out of the car and walked into the ugly building. After climbing a few steps she arrived at the doorstep of the room that Lisle and her best friend had rented. Steve knocked for a while, waited and knocked again. The door opened slightly and Lisle's face looked surprised to find Steve there.

“Steve..

“Nona, Mr. Kent told me to pick up. Miss, you better not argue. Mr. Kent is very angry now and Miss will not know what you will do if you are angry.” Steve tried to persuade.

“No, Steve. I don't want to go back to that house like a fool.” Lisle still stubbornly refused. He thinks what's the worst thing Kennard would do to him? Killed her?

“Nona, you really don't know mr.” Steve knows what his master will do. This girl will not be hurt. It is the people around him who will be targeted. And it's gonna start with Ralph Caldwin.

“What... will he kill me?” ask Lisle plain. He heard Mr. Kent was very cruel.

Steve was about to swear at Lisle's stupidity. Her master wanted this girl and had saved her several times. How could he think that master would kill him?

“That's impossible, Miss. You like Miss and won't hurt Miss. But if..”.

“Nona, he will hurt the people around Miss. Especially that guy named Ralph...”.

“He has nothing to do with me. Never mind, Steve. I want to rest.” Lisle was about to close the door but remembered something. “Do you know where my aunt and cousin are now?” tanyakanya.

“Nona can ask directly to sir. I'll deliver Miss...”.

“Already...” Lisle immediately closed the door, leaving Steve out there with his gloomy face.

Steve's phone rings. He received the call with a wry feeling after seeing the name of the caller.

“How?” The voice across sounded cold.

“Nona refuses to return, Mr...” Steve's throat was blocked. He imagined the destruction of the Caldwell family. One more family. And all this was only because of that innocent girl who did not understand that her naivety had made many people become victims.

“Leave it. You get back here. We'll start the plan tonight.”

Celine came home from work as usual. She was surprised to find Lisle had fallen asleep in the room but did not wake her. His mind was filled with questions about something that might have happened to the girl.

The next day Lisle was seen still curled up in bed even though Celine had been awake for a long time. He seemed to have no intention of going to college.

“There's a problem? You had a fight with your relative?” celine asked when she saw Lisle just lying down in a doldrums. His face was a little pale.

Lisle. “No. I just feel better staying here. So I'm back.” Lisle's smile looked fragile.

“Hm...” Celine did not comment. Suddenly coming back for no reason, of course something had happened but he did not want to ask again. “You didn't go to college?”

“I'm not feeling well.” Lisle.

“Good. I made breakfast earlier. If you're hungry, you can pick it up yourself in the kitchen. I go first.” Celine got up from the side of the bed and went outside.

Lisle drowned herself in a blanket after Celine. His eyes were closed but his mind wandered everywhere. There was a difficult feeling to explain that made her want to cry at this moment. The feeling was like a lump of rock propping up but Lisle did not know how to release it.

His phone suddenly sounded. Lisle sighed and got out of bed. His hand reached for the bag on the bedside table and pulled out his phone from there. It was still ringing before Lisle pressed the receive button. The girl furrowed her brows as she only saw a row of foreign figures on the screen.

“Hallo. Miss, I'm Thomas..” A voice that Lisle was quite familiar with sounded from across the connection.

“Thomas? What's up?” Lisle felt strange because the butler of Palm Garden called her.

“When Miss back?” thomas asked, causing Lisle confusion.

This guy, thought Lisle, was he calling on his own initiative or on Mr. Kent's errand?
