Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapters 103. Steve's Advice

Never had Steve felt such fear in his master. And all that was caused only by a little girl who was none other than her own sister. He wants to explain. But he also knew most likely his master would not be willing to listen. Except....

“Ken, I. It's not Steve.”'s fault Lisle interrupted and hurriedly shrank the tears on her cheeks.

There was a little relief in Steve's heart. He was worried that Lisle would sulk at Kennard and complain about nothing. Somehow he will defend himself.

“But you're crying because of this jerk man.” Kennard was satisfied to have the opportunity to curse Steve. Something he rarely does.

“Mr...” Steve felt difficulty swallowing. The last time his master cursed, he had already forgotten. He was not hurt, but it was really uncomfortable in his ears.

Kennard doesn't care about his assistant. He approached Lisle and grabbed a reddened face from just crying. It's not that he never saw his wife cry. But Lisle cries because Kennard is sometimes too excited to spend the night. Besides, of course the problem is different.

When Lisle cried, she looked very sorry. That's what Kennard felt when they first met. Now this girl who has become his wife is dropping tears because of her own brother. Unfortunately, Lisle defended him instead. It made Kennard's annoyance multiply. He was eager to strangle this assistant of his if not the status of the brother he was holding.

“Starting tomorrow go on vacation. I guess you haven't taken a long time off.” Kennard said that to Steve without even looking at the man. “After all I don't want to see you,” Kennard continued.

Steve complained but there was nothing he could do to refute his master.

“Go anywhere. Surely don't let me see you. Don't come back unless I command.”

“Ken, Steve didn't do anything. She... she's innocent.” Lisle's trying to overturn Kennard's decision on Steve.

“He is guilty of being your brother and my sister-in-law.” Kennard said indifferently. He pulled Lisle's arm and carried her away from there.

Lisle seemed to not believe her hearing. Kennard's answer sounded absurd. Why would he blame his blood relationship with Steve? If he knew it would be like this, he probably wouldn't have asked Kennard to find his brother. Lisle felt guilty for Steve.

Up outside the bathroom, Lisle pulled her hand from Kennard's handle.

“I want to talk to Steve for a minute, ' Lisle said.

“There's nothing to talk about with him anymore.” Kennard kept Lisle's arm in his grip.

“Ken...” Lisle looked at her husband with a clear look.

One of the things Kennard hates is that Lisle starts pleading with her glassy diamond eyes. It was as if the girl knew very well that Kennard would not be able to resist.

Kennard removed his grip from Lisle's arm and without saying anything then walked away from the place.

Lisle took a breath of her lungs and turned to meet Steve who was still stunned in front of the sink. The man momentarily felt surprised by Lisle's return. He was still unable to accept the decision that his master had just decreed. Suddenly the girl who caused all of that had already returned before him. How Steve's guts didn't shrink. He had even forgotten that they were two brothers.

“Steve. I'm sorry. It's all my fault.” Lisle looked at Steve's face that was turning pale again and did not understand what had made Steve look like that. “If I myself do not know where my fault is..”.

Steve couldn't control himself not to let out a voice of complaint.

All righty! This isn't purely Lisle's fault. The girl didn't mean anything bad to Steve. Maybe he's just a little excited about finding his missing brother again. Steve tried to understand. Again and again. It seemed like he could indeed not get angry at this girl in front of him.

Oh, naw! It's not just him. It seemed like her master couldn't get angry at Lisle either. Every one of those beautiful eyes began to fog, his master would desperately console. Although Steve knows for sure, not infrequently his master irritated his wife.

The smooth forehead was wrinkled. “Jealous? Kennard jealous of his own brother-in-law?” Lisle didn't know whether to laugh or cry because of it.

Steve was sure. “Be careful when talking or behaving in front of him. He won't like it if you praise someone especially if that person is a man.”

“Even if it's you, my brother?” Lisle was in disbelief at Steve's advice. He felt it was ridiculous.

“Even if that person is your own brother.” Steve confirmed by repeating Lisle's words.

“That doesn't make sense,” Lisle grimaced herself knowing if her husband could also act that silly.

“He was indeed an unreasonable person long ago. After meeting you, he became even more unreasonable.” Steve smiled wryly considering that he was now already a victim of his master's unreasonable actions.

“So in the end you blame me too.” Lisle smiled wryly.

“She just loves you too much.” Steve paid no heed to Lisle's words. All can be said to be guilty. But everything can't be said to be wrong either.

“I'll persuade him to call you back soon.” Lisle promised.

“I believe you can definitely persuade him. But I think it's also good for me to go on vacation. As master said, I have not been on leave for a long time.” Steve suddenly remembered something.

“I have to meet someone...” Steve half-dreamed. His face looks brighter.

“Make sure you come to our wedding.... Uh, did you say just now? Meet someone? Is she the girl you said you liked the other day?” Lisle remembered that Steve insisted on being silent about the girl he liked.

Steve smiled with mystery. It seemed quite pleasant to be able to tempt Lisle by making her curious. Luckily, she was strong enough not to say who she liked.

The man simply nodded in response.

“Who?” Again Lisle could not help but ask. “Do I know him?”

“You know him.” Steve had already forgotten the mess Lisle had caused before.

“But who?” Lisle started to whine and shake Steve's arm.

Steve stared at the arm Lisle was holding. “One more. Never act like this in front of your husband. You don't know how bad his face is when you see him.”

“Eh, really?” Lisle took off her grip on Steve's arm. “You ‘kan my brother. Isn't it okay..”.

“I told you...”.

“Ya yes.... Even if you were my brother, my great-looking husband would still be jealous.” Lisle cut quickly to recall Steve's previous advice. “I didn't know that he could also be such a fool,” he continued grumbling to himself.

Steve laughed now. “Love can sometimes make great people look stupid.” He witnessed for himself the whole journey of his master's love. So he knows exactly what he's saying.
