Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapters 101. Concern of Shopia

Shopia trembled when she heard the explanation of a prison guard she bribed for information. Sally was dead more than a month ago. Someone put poison in his food. The prison has covered it up with journalists. The news was never heard from outside.

Who killed the girl? Was there anything to do with someone who supposedly would set him free and plot the destruction for the lord of Kent that led to his death? Or Mr. Kent himself who has intervened. Maybe it was because the girl was talking so much that she was considered dangerous. I don't know.

Shopia's head was filled with questions with no answers.

Father's right. Shopia shouldn't be involved in this kind of business. The person Shopia was talking about must have been very dangerous. Fortunately, he kept his mouth shut and told no one.

Except for Lisle.

But where is Lisle now? Shopia has not seen him for a long time. The last time they met was when Lisle asked about Celine. Celine's missing. And Lisle has also been invisible for a long time. He sure didn't miss any news. Shopia was already preparing to approach Lisle. The girl was generous enough not to hold a grudge. Shopia thinks they might be friends.

Shopia's father said that making friends with the girl would open the door to ease later on for their business.

"Sli!" Shopia was in disbelief today seeing Lisle near her class. He just thought about it. Shopia hurriedly walked over.

It's Lisle's first day back in college. He doesn't look excited. Celine's memories made her lose interest in classes.

When she heard someone call her, Lisle turned to the direction of the voice. He looked at Shopia who was walking hastily towards him.

"Where have you been this month?" Shopia asked directly without further ado. Somehow she felt good seeing Pisle Lisle today.

Lisle looked at Shopia in astonishment. They're not familiar enough to look for each other if they don't find anything else. It's weird if Shopia cares if she goes to college or not.

"I'm traveling somewhere…." Lisle couldn't tell the truth. Shopia isn't valuable enough to be a place of moaning.

"Oh." Shopia realized her mistake. He was too excited earlier to forget his capacity that is not worthy of being called a friend. "sorry. I didn't mean to interfere. But it feels a little strange that after Celine disappears, you disappear…."

"Celine is not missing. He's sick so can't go to college." Lisle cut out Shopia's sentence. She felt sad again as soon as she remembered Celine.

"really? Is the pain severe? Where is she being treated now?" Again Shopia seemed excited to ask that.

Lisle sighed. Shopia's concern didn't touch her feelings in the slightest. So he didn't mean to tell me anything anymore.

Lisle's silence resuscitated Shopia. He's been acting wrong himself. "Mmh, I thought we could be friends." He looked down at his fingers.

After everything you've done to me, you want to be friends? Lisle almost said that. But hearing someone offer a friendship warms her feelings. Despite not believing in Shopia's sincerity, Lisle's heart melted slightly.

"I'm not ready to be friends with you. Maybe later," Lisle said after a moment of silence. "Sorry." And Lisle turned away, leaving Shopia glued to where she stood.

Not everyone can be friends with anyone. Lisle used to be like that. It is still. It takes a long time to call yourself a friend. Can't just meet and ask for a confession.

Anyway, later is later. No one can be sure what will happen. Today someone is the best friend, maybe tomorrow he will be the deadliest enemy. Right now someone could be the most hated enemy but the day after tomorrow or later, he could be his most beloved friend.

They haven't been together like this for a long time. It's been months since that night.

David, Nathan and Benjamin sat separately on each sofa. As was their custom, there were one or two girls accompanying there. Kennard sat on the biggest sofa, occasionally glancing at the watch on his wrist.

The four of them were in the VVIP room of the biggest nightclub in Black Mountain. The three young masters played cards in the company of the girls. Kennard leaned against the sofa while hitching a leg. In his hand a glass of deep red liquid was shaken slowly. Cold gazing. And distant. On a night of meeting.

Then the corners of her lips slightly lifted.

Again, Kennard glanced at the clock on his arm. Lisle picked up Steve at Palm Garden. Kennard came first to the place after a business banquet. When he asked on his phone if his wife would like to join the club, he was a little in disbelief when Lisle agreed.

Kennard reached for his phone to call Steve when the door opened. Lisle went in first, followed by Steve behind him. The girl wore a cream-colored knee-length canal with long sleeves whose edges were decorated with floral motifs. Sweet. Still as good as first Kennard saw it. Even though he knew exactly his wife was no longer as innocent as she seemed.

"You've come. Long time." Kennard grabbed his wife's hand pulling her closer.

"I didn't even change clothes here. What's the old one?" Lisle grumbled at her husband's comments which she thought were of origin. He's sitting next to Kennard. The man almost pulled her into the lap, but Lisle twitched. He felt the curious gazes of the girls inside the room.

Steve sat in a place a bit away from the circle. Make distance.

Lisle who saw that furrowed her beautiful brows. He got up from his seat walking closer to Steve.

"Sister, sit with us." Lisle said as she stood facing Steve. He wanted the three young masters to know that now Steve was not only his famous assistant lord Kent but also his brother-in-law.

The whole room stopped playing their cards. Just then when Lisle entered, the girls had already wondered about Lisle's position in Mr. Kent's heart. How could this simple girl be so gently greeted by the Black Mountain ruler? In such a short time they were already envious.

Now they see Lisle walking up to Steve the great assistant of Mr. Kent and calling him big brother. Not only did the girls become curious, the three young masters now even raised their faces aiming their eyes at the exciting scene.

Steve was wrong.

"I think it's better here." Steve ditched the call of the young mistress as he always did. But his attitude still seems formal.

Lisle did not accept Steve's refusal. He grabbed that big arm and pulled it. Steve got up from his seat.

Steve was dragged to the couch where Kennard was sitting.

"Sitting here is better" Lisle said, prompting Steve to gently force her to sit down.

Now Steve and Kennard are sitting at each end of the sofa. A satisfied Lisle sat down between the two men. Her lips smiled sweetly at all the eyes that were staring at them.

"This is Steve, Mr. Kent's assistant and brother."

The entire room that was once stunned by the scene just now, now seemed petrified. All mute.
