Lover Forced The Ruler

Lover Forced The Ruler
Chapters 74. Followed

"It's not been an hour since you left the house but it's been causing trouble. I told you to stay until our honeymoon." Kennard spoke in an intimidating tone on Steve's cell phone.

Lisle at the end of the joint shrunk in her stool. He bit his lips. Like a thief caught off guard, he could not dodge.

"It's not my fault. I was just defending myself. They spread bad rumors about me. I don't accept. The girl even said it directly in front of people. So I slapped him twice…." Lisle tried to explain.

"And you meant to cover it from your husband. Why?"

Lisle could imagine her husband's expression being offended because he would rather tell Steve than Kennard. "I just don't want to bother you. Aren't you very busy?" Lisle recalled that Kennard was so busy with some affairs that he had to postpone their honeymoon.

"So you'd rather interrupt my assistant than my own husband?"

"No. no. No, it's not that." Lisle shook her head strongly.

Celine, who was nearby, knew who the girl was talking to now. Lisle's face sometimes turned red, sometimes turning pale. She did not understand how Lisle could be afraid of her husband who clearly loved her that much.

"Actually I don't mind being bullied by my own wife." Kennard continued. Then when he did not hear the word from the other side, he continued. " Don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine. No one will sue you. Learn in peace. Don't fall asleep in class."

It was the most relaxed consolation sentence Lisle had heard. He trusts. But the end part made the girl gawk for a moment. When did he ever fall asleep in class? Is it because they just got to bed in the morning so Kennard thinks he's still sleepy?

"I'll go first." Lisle disconnected without waiting for Kennard's answer. She did not want to hear her husband's temptation anymore.

Throughout the lecture time of the day, Lisle was unable to focus. Although Kennard guaranteed that everything would be fine, but he could not ignore the judgmental gaze around him. The people whispering behind him made him unsettled.

At first he intended to take Celine to the mall just a walk or maybe buy something. But the morning incident made him lose his spirit. He immediately told William to drive his car directly to Palm Garden.

It was on that trip that he saw William several times looking at the rearview mirror, noticing something.

"What's wrong?" Lisle looked at the back of the road but nothing made her feel strange.

Daylight traffic seems calm. Non-solid. But also not quiet. Some motorists run cars without rushing under the scorching sun. As if it was unaffected by the heat. Maybe because in the car they have installed air conditioning equipment.

"It's nothing, Madam. I was just thinking, a black car has been seen behind us since college.

"You mean we're being followed?" Lisle looks worried. What do the people who follow other cars mean if not malicious.

"The lady doesn't have to worry. I'll take a detour first to make sure they're following us." William turned the steering wheel as the car arrived at the intersection. He took a different path than usual.

The car was following them. Seeming calm is turning the direction.

William smiled at a glance and made a connection with a number. "Mr Steve, our car followed. Would it not matter if I just continue until home?'

"Just continue. They're not a problem. Hans has identified that they're just amateur detectives hired by someone." Steve tells the instructions from his master.

"Good, Sir." William closed the connection and continued driving.

Actually William was not worried at all about their safety. He knows Mr. Kent put some men trained to protect his wife. Right now they must be watching the car that William drives. It's just that the identity of Mrs Kent has not yet been made public. He didn't want to be blamed if someone tried to figure out this still-secret truth.

"Who are they?" ask Lisle curiously. She knew William was calling her husband.

"Amateur detectives only. It'sit's nothing. Maybe someone's curious about the identity of the Madam." William smiled between amused and disdainful. If master just let those people follow them, it meant that his master wanted to give a warning. Let them guess and then fear themselves.

"Why do they want to know about me?" Lisle looked confused. For a moment he thought about it and remembered the quarrel with Shopia on campus. "Is that maybe the spoiled lady?"

"It's not certain yet, madam. But sir says they're harmless." William tells.

Lisle breathed a sigh of relief. She felt the people around her husband were so competent. They moved so quickly that they could immediately confirm the identity of the stalkers. He feels pretty calm now.

"You said you sold it that night. But you didn't say that someone saved him. And it's bad you covered up again that the man who saved him was Mr. Kent." Shopia spoke in a low but sharp tone to the girl who was blocked by the barrier glass in front of her. They spoke by phone on each side.

It was a first class prison. The girl Shopia was talking to was Sally, the female student who was involved in the trade of the girls a few months ago. Shopia came to him because she was interested in finding information about Lisle. Who would have thought Sally covered the most important part.

"I thought Mr. Kent would only like the girl for a while. You know, right. The girls involved with Mr. Kent never lasted long. Are they still in touch?" Sally seemed to not believe that fact.

"If you were to tell me that part, I would definitely be more careful. I think he really sold himself. Thankfully, my father was careful. You know, right now this girl even lives in the Palm Garden." Shopia spoke with indignation. That fact still hurt him.

He came to Sally today suspecting that she was making things up about Lisle. Shopia found no lies. It was the truth that surprised him. Lisle's relationship with Diamond Group's owners turned out to be quite long. Before he starts to bully the girl he thinks has some kind of feeling with Ralph.

"Fuck you!" maki Shopia knows who. He looked ridiculous at the time. Who cares about Ralph if he has the ruler. Ralph looked like a joke when compared to Mr. Kent. The man indeed came from the top five families in Black Mountain. But the second young master had not even anything in his hands other than the surname.

Inexplicably, Shopia's jealousy has now moved on to the girl's success captivating Mr. Kent. She's pissed. She's upset. And envious. Lisle is nobody. But Lisle is getting better than a young lady like her.

Shopia felt defeated.

Suddenly Sally laughed as if Shopia's explanation just now was something funny and trivial. Then the laughter suddenly stopped after a while changing its serious face.

Shopia furrowed her brows. He felt strange about the girl's reaction. "What's wrong?" abugn. "Is there anything funny?"
